Chapter 116 Big Burger! by Harem-Fan
It was almost 9 years ago now that I think back on it.
What was that woman's name, think brain, think? Hmm? I think maybe it was Lacy or something?
I had stopped to sit on a bench before going into my Kung-Fu Club and my talk with the ladies made me remember a bit more. Let's see...

It was about a week after I fell out of that damn tree. I had traded information with that idiot-girl Katelyn Pu. When I told my dad what happened he chopped me on my head and said.
"You called her an idiot-girl, but why did you not use that new cell phone I bought you to call the fire-department to rescue her?"
"I just did what you would do. I did not want idiot-girl to fall while we waited. I was lucky and only got small injuries, so I think it was worth it, plus that limb broke, so she would have died."
My dad warmly smiled and ruffled the hair he chopped, and told me while handing me 10 dollars.
"You are right, I would have done the same thing. The good news is you made it alright. So a hero needs a reward for being selfless. Go eat lunch at the Big Burger. I heard they have a new BBQ Burger to die for."
I scratched my head and said.
"Those Specialty Burgers like that Deluxe you get are a bit strange, I like the Classic Cheeseburger and fries. Onions and pickles are gross, and Bacon deserves to be on the breakfast plate, not a burger, yuck."
My dad was wearing his police-belt and gear heading out. He said.
"Well, your taste-buds are changing, so you will like all of those flavors when you are an adult, I promise. Now I will drop you off there on my way to work, let's go, partner."

Yeah, I forgot he always called me Partner. Just like I call Mei. Or does Mei call me Partner?

After my father dropped me off, I walked into my local Big Burger's front-doors. I noticed the floors are all done in black and white checkered pattern. The counter was a clean and smooth white, with 3 registers with touch-flat-screens, the newest innovation in computers.
I have seen the big menu with moving pictures on the screen, showing all of the different foods they offer and whatever the monthly special is.
I looked over at the children's Happy-Combos and saw the mascot of the restaurant, a two legged-child-white-tiger character holding and eating a cheeseburger.
Back then, I had not noticed this character represented the Tang Family, I just thought he was a cool, fun character. Who does not think a white-tiger is cool?
I remember thinking whenever I came in, I could get a kids combo for 5 dollars and then have 5 dollars left over for the arcade. But if I bought an adult combo it would cost more and I could play less.
I also looked over at the kids play area and saw lots of kids playing. I really wanted to go play, but... When I turned 10 and my age went to double digits, I swore to grow up and not be a little kid anymore. That is why my dad trusts me alone, because I am calm and behaved.
"If you want to play, why not just go and have fun before you eat?"
When I heard the woman's voice behind me, I turned to look up and see a beautiful older woman. She was at least a foot or a bit taller, with glossy short-black-hair. Her blue-eyes made me feel calm, and her smile invited me to lower my guard.
She was wearing a light-blue business lady-suit with a light knee-length coat. She had a black-leather purse and looked like she might go off work somewhere. Maybe she is a student, a bank teller, or secretary?
"Ah? No, I am too old for that kids stuff now, so I am here to eat my Combo Meal."
She crossed her arms amused at my declaration of being too old to play. Then she asked while pointing at the menu.
"So what are you planning on ordering, young man?"
I remember floundering in my head and almost blurted 'the Classic Cheeseburger Combo', but I just said I was too old for playing, so I called out my dads favorite.
"My usual, the Deluxe Combo!"
"Really? I usually just get the Classic Cheeseburger Combo. Hey, would you like to eat with me? I don't want to eat alone, well unless you are here with anyone?"
I remember thinking, it was sad that a beautiful big-sister needed to eat alone. I nodded yes to her. Then she said.
"Good. And since you are willing to eat with me, I will treat you today, how's that?"
I remember my eyes swam a bit thinking a few different thoughts. The first thought was that I would have 10 dollars for arcade games! The second thought was, I don't have to eat alone, but the last thought bugged my mind out a bit.
"B-But if you pay, is that like a date?!"
The beautiful woman covered her lips and her eyes turned into crescents, and she giggled and said.
"Ufufu, You are so cute, no silly, it is not a date but two friends having a meal to keep each-other company. It is only a date if you are my age."
I remember feeling dejected, like I was getting cheated out of something for grown ups. The woman seeing my shoulders slumped sighed and said.
"Hmm? How about we call it a Big Burger date then? That way you can tell your friends at school you had a kinda date."
My spirits were lifted and I smiled big, then I forgot something important.
"Um? My name is Rick Lee, what is yours?"
"Hmm? I met you once before 5 years ago, did you forget my name? You did not think I was just talking to any young men I bump into, did you?"
I remember freaking out trying to remember this big-sister, and where in the world I met her? I shook my head no and said.
"Sorry, five years ago was soooo long ago, I don't remember a lot. Um, Is your name... Lucy?"
I thought of that one Fairy Tail anime and took a shot in the dark, she looked like a Lucy.
The pretty woman smiled and thought, then said.
"Amazing Rick, you guessed my name on your first try?! Maybe you do remember me, so do you remember my last name? It has to do with Dragons?"
"Long?"
"I am most definitely not one of those Long's, try again."
Not a Long, and not a Lee like me, so? I thought of the anime that came out of the China Empire called Dragon Ball and thought of the Dragon Shen Long!
"I got it! you are Lucy Shen, right?!"
The woman looked happy with me guessing her name, and nodded like she might cry?
(A/N The name Lucy Shen was born from Rick at that moment. May Lee could not use her name as a dead person, and she refused to use Long, due to the fact they caused some of the problems of their family. From that day on She created a real Lucy Shen.)
"Um, Miss Shen, did I say something wrong?"
"No, I am just happy you know my name. Now let me order for us to eat, Coke fine, sweet tea, or fruit punch?"
After confirming and ordering our combos, we went to a back booth to eat. She asked.
"Well you have three seating options Rick. The first is to sit across from each-other, or sit side by side with me? You on the outside, or inside? What do you prefer?"
I had thought about it, and always knew I sat across from my dad alone, but he always sat next to mom with me next to Mary. So I said.
"Then I will sit on the outside so men can't bother you!"
"Perfect, then you can protect me from strangers, fufu."
So the two of us sat and we did not sit inappropriately at all. Not one time had that kind lady ever done anything uncomfortable to me. But I remember her watching me eat my first real Deluxe burger.
I took the first bite and the flavors really overpowered my taste-buds. One moment as I chewed I could taste ketchup, pickles, and bacon. A moment later I tasted beef, cheese, and lettuce. Next before swallowing would be tomatoes, onions, and mayonnaise. It really was a kaleidoscope of flavors my young taste-buds were not ready for!
Lucy then asked me.
"Rick, if you don't want to eat your Deluxe, you can have my cheeseburger instead, and I can eat it?"
I could tell she must have gotten the cheeseburger knowing I would have problems. But... I am now a 10 year old man and I was not going to back down in-front of a woman.
"No thanks. The first bite always catches me off guard, I am good."
And for the rest of the meal I ate that damn Deluxe like it was my enemy. When I finally finished it, I could tell, I came one more step closer to being a real man!
As we were separating out front of the restaurant, she asked me.
"Would you like to eat together again, Rick?"
I thought about it and nodded, because I really enjoyed this woman's company.
"I come here every Saturday at 4 pm to eat, so I can see you next week, Miss Shen."
She smiled warmly and then said to me.
"Then it is a Big Burger Date. Oh and Rick, please don't climb trees like that again, you look like you suffered. Sorry to hear about your accident."
I had told a modified cool version of my rescue of Katelyn.

It was the end of our 4th Big Burger Date, and I was calling her Lucy at this point. I had eaten my fourth Deluxe and was a professional by now.
"So big sis Lucy, you work with computers? That is so cool to get paid to do fun computer work."
"Ufufu, Yup, I get to do battle online with all kinds of bad guys like a cyber hero. But it is more fun to spend time eating with my little nephew."
Yup, I called her big sis Lucy and she called me little nephew. Well it is better than little brother, because Mary calls me that already, so it sounded much nicer.
"Oh yeah? Five years ago, where did we meet?"
"I was at the airport when your family dropped your father off there. He had a police-training he went to for a few months, right?" (flight to china empire)
"Well I remember dad was gone for a while back then, and I remember when he came back, he looked sad. So it was hard training."
"Yeah, everyone in that training had a hard time. Well that one time we met was the only time I had seen you. I didn't see you when you picked him up though."
I saw sadness in her eyes, like my father's did when he came back from the trip. So I asked.
"Next week, let me buy the meal, okay? I have saved up a lot of money."
"Okay Rick, then you can treat me. I love our talks."
As I was going to say something cool sounding a young woman's voice was heard I knew all too well!
"Little Rick, found you! Hurry and come with me now! Father told me to get you and I had to stop watching my soap to bring you back, geez! And who is this lady?"
The 14 year old Mary Lee had come in with her grumpy mood to retrieve me for staying out past my 6 pm curfew, oops. I had lost track of the time. Then I said to Mary.
"Ah? Big Sis, this is Miss Shen, she eats with me here, sorry for forgetting the time."
Mary took my hand like a child and embarrassed me, she then looked at Lucy Shen and said coldly.
"I don't care who you are, old lady, stay away from my brother. He is only 10 years old, you pervert, humph!"
I was in so much shame for how Mary pulled me out of there, and I could not even say sorry for my sister being rude to her.
The last thing I saw was Lucy Shen smiling warmly at Mary rescuing me from her. Her smile confused me, but I guess she will meet me next week?
Just as I was yanked out like a shoplifter being caught, a conversation I was unaware of took place in the booth I had just left.
A tall Police Officer about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with black-hair and blue-eyes, looking like the grown up version of the shoplifter being dragged away, came to the booth and sat across from Lucy Shen.
He smiled with worry in his sad eyes.
"Little May, why are you exposing yourself? Just cutting your hair short won't fool anybody? Sure it's been a few years, but you still look young, sigh."
"Father keeps me locked away, so I wanted to live on the outside for a bit. I just like spending time with him, is that wrong?"
"Don't be stupid. It is not wrong, but if you are exposed, things will get ugly for our family. The other faction thinks you are dead, remember? And with my traitor status, you know they watch me, and thus will find you, that is why you need to stop seeing little Rick."
"But you were framed, it is not even fair. It was my fault you are in trouble. I should not have been selfish. You taught me to not care, but I just was spoiled."
He flicked her forehead and smiled. She pouted and covered it, and he said.
"I taught you to not care, not be heartless. Your choice to help that little girl is a kind act only a good person can do. I have no regrets. I felt better knowing I helped a kind child. Hopefully, one day I can meet her again and see how she turned out."
May Lee then said formally.
"I was supposed to tell you 4 weeks ago, but father said he had something very important for you. I don't know what it is, but rumors online say it's the other traditionalists wanting you to take over for Father. But this is contrary to kicking you out, branding you a traitor, and trying to kill me?!"
"It is because you are dead, so they don't want their child to take over due to him being restricted. They want me to be a restricted clan leader where they can let their child grow stronger. That pompous ass is hoping his 4 year old son will awaken as the Yellow Emperor. It has been longer than the 400 year mark, almost 475 years now, so they are praying for a miracle."
May Lee grumbled.
"These traditionalists were so sure you were the Yellow Emperor and the moment you passed your 18th birthday, they turned on you when you were deemed empty. Fuck them. So they thought their son was the next Emperor and pushed you into a corner with a shit marriage and all of their crap! Then when he was found to be empty they just shrug and ignore you."
Rick senior just sighs and says.
"I pray to the Dragon every-night, to not let Rick be a reincarnator. It only ruins and corrupts the Li. They forget the Yellow Emperor is not for them to control, but to help the world. The ugly secret of why China Nobles revolted against the Li in the first place, and history repeats itself."
May Lee asks.
"Then if you go back, what will you do?"
"I will have to ask my father what we need to do, then make up my mind, but after losing Sally, I don't want to go back to that lifestyle anymore. I am just happy raising and teaching Rick. I met a good woman who loves Rick, and her daughter, well you met her, she is a bit over protective."
May Lee grins thinking of Mary and nodded.
"Yeah, she really loves him, and I am glad, since I can't, sigh."
"Sigh, May, I think letting you read those manga and specialty novels was my one mistake in life? You know you have an unhealthy obsession with Rick, right?"
She shook her head and said.
"No, you don't believe me, but he is him! I felt it five years ago, and I have felt it every time we are together. You have to teach him well brother. I know it in my heart, he is him. I won't let the world take him from us."
"You and Father and all the other clan members also thought I was him, but I am me? What if Rick is just normal like me? Will you not be disappointed?"
"I promise, even if he is not the Yellow Emperor, he will always be my Yellow Emperor. I will make sure his adult life is as smooth as possible. But, my heart feels it."
The Police Officer stood and said. If this story is on any-other site than Scribble Hub, then it was stolen without permission!
"I need to leave before they spot you. I know it is hard, but please don't come to Rick. At least wait till he is an adult. I want him to be forgotten, hopefully forever. But when that 4 year old turns 18 and Rick has awakened, life will become tumultuous. And that is when he will need you and me the most, when Rick turns 24. Even if he is not the Yellow Emperor, the traditionalist will believe he is no matter what, and he will suffer my fall."
May Lee grabbed him and hugged him goodbye. Sadly this was the last time they ever met...

My heart raced as I remembered my meeting with Lucy Shen all those years ago. I pulled out my smartphone and dialed her number.
[Hello Rick, miss me already?]
I take a deep breath and ask.
"You were my Big Burger Date, right?"

"You sent me Mei? And does Vicky know who you are?"
I hear footsteps from behind me and I see the smiling Lucy Shen hanging up her phone, and then sitting next to me.
"I indeed sent Mei to you because I trust no one else to protect you. No, Victoria only thinks I am a normal employee. She hired me to protect you from the long, so I have stayed there finding her to be a lovely woman that loves you."
Lucy is now holding my arm with a smile and I feel like the rug is pulled out. This woman has been around me my whole life, and she knows I am the Yellow Emperor. She has been cleaning up all my messes and has never once hurt me. I ask her.
"Who are you really?"
"Lucy Shen, your number one most loyal and loving supporter, for both you and your identity. I will burn the world to make you happy. But... Right now,I cannot tell you too much of my background yet. Just know I am a dead person to the world, but your guardian angel, Rick, name it and I will do it!"
Holy crap, her eyes tell me she is serious! She is one of those special women. So my dad knew her and that was what he really meant! She was not dangerous to me, but others!
Lucy, seeing my look of realization pouted and said.
"You are not having bad thoughts of what your father told you are you, Rick?"
I sweat here and burst out quickly looking guilty.
"No, but you knew my father, and why did you not find me when he died?"
Her expression was very dark, like someone should die, and she told me.
"I was held up in a closed community after I met you back then, and only was recently allowed to leave due to your awakening. I could only watch you online. My existence is taboo."
"Were you in prison?"
Smack! She softly hit my arm and said with an irritated voice.
"No, I was being shielded from our enemies. You and I are on the same team, and all those that want you dead want me dead, because I support you, get it?"
I nodded and asked.
"Lucy, who are you really protecting, Me or the Yellow Emperor?"

"I would like to lie and say it is the Yellow Emperor, but It is you, I am protecting. See, sounds creepy now you hear it, right?"
I nodded my head and she only covered her mouth and laughed at my silly expression.
"Yes, your father knew about my obsession with you, but he did not care. Just know anyone that loves you or is your friend, I would never ever harm. But if they try to hurt you, I am very dangerous like your father said, is that alright for you?"
I am really shocked she straight up told me she is obsessed with me?! How does a man handle that? Oh! I know... Don't reject them, or I might be hiding in a bathroom stall, right?
"I think I can live with that, so please keep my family safe."
Lucy put on her normal playful-smile, and pushed me up then said.
"Go to class. You are late sitting here talking to me. Just keep my identity a secret. One day, I will confess everything to you, Rick. Just know you are my world!"
I wave and head to class, a whole new can of worms was just thrown my way, and it all started at Big Burger!

"Little Rick, found you! Hurry and come with me now! Father told me to get you and I had to stop watching my soap to bring you back, geez! And who is this lady?"
The 14 year old Mary Lee had come in with her grumpy mood to retrieve me for staying out past my 6 pm curfew, oops. I had lost track of the time. Then I said to Mary.
"Ah? Big Sis, this is Miss Shen, she eats with me here, sorry for forgetting the time."
Mary took my hand like a child and embarrassed me, she then looked at Lucy Shen and said coldly.
"I don't care who you are, old lady, stay away from my brother. He is only 10 years old, you pervert, humph!"
I was in so much shame for how Mary pulled me out of there, and I could not even say sorry for my sister being rude to her.
The last thing I saw was Lucy Shen smiling warmly at Mary rescuing me from her. Her smile confused me, but I guess she will meet me next week?
Just as I was yanked out like a shoplifter being caught, a conversation I was unaware of took place in the booth I had just left.
A tall Police Officer about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with black-hair and blue-eyes, looking like the grown up version of the shoplifter being dragged away, came to the booth and sat across from Lucy Shen.
He smiled with worry in his sad eyes.
"Little May, why are you exposing yourself? Just cutting your hair short won't fool anybody? Sure it's been a few years, but you still look young, sigh."
"Father keeps me locked away, so I wanted to live on the outside for a bit. I just like spending time with him, is that wrong?"
"Don't be stupid. It is not wrong, but if you are exposed, things will get ugly for our family. The other faction thinks you are dead, remember? And with my traitor status, you know they watch me, and thus will find you, that is why you need to stop seeing little Rick."
"But you were framed, it is not even fair. It was my fault you are in trouble. I should not have been selfish. You taught me to not care, but I just was spoiled."
He flicked her forehead and smiled. She pouted and covered it, and he said.
"I taught you to not care, not be heartless. Your choice to help that little girl is a kind act only a good person can do. I have no regrets. I felt better knowing I helped a kind child. Hopefully, one day I can meet her again and see how she turned out."
May Lee then said formally.
"I was supposed to tell you 4 weeks ago, but father said he had something very important for you. I don't know what it is, but rumors online say it's the other traditionalists wanting you to take over for Father. But this is contrary to kicking you out, branding you a traitor, and trying to kill me?!"
"It is because you are dead, so they don't want their child to take over due to him being restricted. They want me to be a restricted clan leader where they can let their child grow stronger. That pompous ass is hoping his 4 year old son will awaken as the Yellow Emperor. It has been longer than the 400 year mark, almost 475 years now, so they are praying for a miracle."
May Lee grumbled.
"These traditionalists were so sure you were the Yellow Emperor and the moment you passed your 18th birthday, they turned on you when you were deemed empty. Fuck them. So they thought their son was the next Emperor and pushed you into a corner with a shit marriage and all of their crap! Then when he was found to be empty they just shrug and ignore you."
Rick senior just sighs and says.
"I pray to the Dragon every-night, to not let Rick be a reincarnator. It only ruins and corrupts the Li. They forget the Yellow Emperor is not for them to control, but to help the world. The ugly secret of why China Nobles revolted against the Li in the first place, and history repeats itself."
May Lee asks.
"Then if you go back, what will you do?"
"I will have to ask my father what we need to do, then make up my mind, but after losing Sally, I don't want to go back to that lifestyle anymore. I am just happy raising and teaching Rick. I met a good woman who loves Rick, and her daughter, well you met her, she is a bit over protective."
May Lee grins thinking of Mary and nodded.
"Yeah, she really loves him, and I am glad, since I can't, sigh."
"Sigh, May, I think letting you read those manga and specialty novels was my one mistake in life? You know you have an unhealthy obsession with Rick, right?"
She shook her head and said.
"No, you don't believe me, but he is him! I felt it five years ago, and I have felt it every time we are together. You have to teach him well brother. I know it in my heart, he is him. I won't let the world take him from us."
"You and Father and all the other clan members also thought I was him, but I am me? What if Rick is just normal like me? Will you not be disappointed?"
"I promise, even if he is not the Yellow Emperor, he will always be my Yellow Emperor. I will make sure his adult life is as smooth as possible. But, my heart feels it."
The Police Officer stood and said. If this story is on any-other site than Scribble Hub, then it was stolen without permission!
"I need to leave before they spot you. I know it is hard, but please don't come to Rick. At least wait till he is an adult. I want him to be forgotten, hopefully forever. But when that 4 year old turns 18 and Rick has awakened, life will become tumultuous. And that is when he will need you and me the most, when Rick turns 24. Even if he is not the Yellow Emperor, the traditionalist will believe he is no matter what, and he will suffer my fall."
May Lee grabbed him and hugged him goodbye. Sadly this was the last time they ever met...

My heart raced as I remembered my meeting with Lucy Shen all those years ago. I pulled out my smartphone and dialed her number.
[Hello Rick, miss me already?]
I take a deep breath and ask.
"You were my Big Burger Date, right?"
[Yup, you finally remembered, huh?]
"You were the one that talked me out of killing the Long, right?"
[Bingo, I knew you would eventually figure it out.]
"You sent me Mei? And does Vicky know who you are?"
I hear footsteps from behind me and I see the smiling Lucy Shen hanging up her phone, and then sitting next to me.
"I indeed sent Mei to you because I trust no one else to protect you. No, Victoria only thinks I am a normal employee. She hired me to protect you from the long, so I have stayed there finding her to be a lovely woman that loves you."
Lucy is now holding my arm with a smile and I feel like the rug is pulled out. This woman has been around me my whole life, and she knows I am the Yellow Emperor. She has been cleaning up all my messes and has never once hurt me. I ask her.
"Who are you really?"
"Lucy Shen, your number one most loyal and loving supporter, for both you and your identity. I will burn the world to make you happy. But... Right now,I cannot tell you too much of my background yet. Just know I am a dead person to the world, but your guardian angel, Rick, name it and I will do it!"
Holy crap, her eyes tell me she is serious! She is one of those special women. So my dad knew her and that was what he really meant! She was not dangerous to me, but others!
Lucy, seeing my look of realization pouted and said.
"You are not having bad thoughts of what your father told you are you, Rick?"
I sweat here and burst out quickly looking guilty.
"No, but you knew my father, and why did you not find me when he died?"
Her expression was very dark, like someone should die, and she told me.
"I was held up in a closed community after I met you back then, and only was recently allowed to leave due to your awakening. I could only watch you online. My existence is taboo."
"Were you in prison?"
Smack! She softly hit my arm and said with an irritated voice.
"No, I was being shielded from our enemies. You and I are on the same team, and all those that want you dead want me dead, because I support you, get it?"
I nodded and asked.
"Lucy, who are you really protecting, Me or the Yellow Emperor?"
Her eyes look at me with a serious and deep expression.
"I would like to lie and say it is the Yellow Emperor, but It is you, I am protecting. See, sounds creepy now you hear it, right?"
I nodded my head and she only covered her mouth and laughed at my silly expression.
"Yes, your father knew about my obsession with you, but he did not care. Just know anyone that loves you or is your friend, I would never ever harm. But if they try to hurt you, I am very dangerous like your father said, is that alright for you?"
I am really shocked she straight up told me she is obsessed with me?! How does a man handle that? Oh! I know... Don't reject them, or I might be hiding in a bathroom stall, right?
"I think I can live with that, so please keep my family safe."
Lucy put on her normal playful-smile, and pushed me up then said.
"Go to class. You are late sitting here talking to me. Just keep my identity a secret. One day, I will confess everything to you, Rick. Just know you are my world!"
I wave and head to class, a whole new can of worms was just thrown my way, and it all started at Big Burger!
