I do not know how long that I was asleep for, though I did know that I was absolutely fucking starving to all hell! Sitting up on my bed, I scanned my surroundings.
Huh? This isn’t the throne room, and nor is it my room back at Yona’s place… Where the fuck is this? Jumping out of my bed, I was beyond shocked at what I saw in the mirror.
I was no longer in my original form, but this was clearly NOT from my evolution. I now had black hair that went down to my shoulders. What even happened?
And, no. This isn’t even anywhere that I know of. As the room that I am in, looks like a modern high school girl’s room. How does something like this even happen? All I did was try to evolve…
Unknown Voice: “If all that you’re going to do, is to complain, then I will be upset.” She said with an annoyed tone in my head.
Celia: “Who the heck are you?” I ask in my head with a confused tone.
Unknown Voice: “Oh? Thanks for not speaking out loud like an idiot. My name is Mika, what’s yours?” She replied.
Celia: “Celia. Now, could you explain how this happened?” I ask with a serious tone.
Mika: “I made a deal with a certain Goddess, you got caught up in said deal.” She answered.
Celia: “That doesn’t really explain anything at all...” I say with a sigh.
Mika: “Look, not long from now, I will be killed. All you have to do, is prevent me from getting killed. Simple as that.” She explained.
Celia: “And how long must I prevent you from dying?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Mika: “Until the threat is dead and gone.” She replied.
Celia: “What kind of threat is it?” I ask with a curious tone.
Mika: “I am a famous movie star.” She said with a prideful tone.
Celia: “Again, that doesn’t explain anything.” I say with an annoyed tone.
Mika: “Oh, right. Anyway, I am dating another movie star just like me. However, there is this other famous movie star, who is greatly upset that I got to Sia before he could.” She explained.
Celia: “He wants you dead, all because you got to his love interest first?” I ask with a head tilt.
Mika: “Yes.” She replied.
Celia: “That is ridiculously stupid…” I say with a long sigh.
Mika: “I would say that he is, yes.” She said with a giggle.
Fuck… This girl really isn’t good at explaining things at all. Why me, of all people? Am I just like, asleep back in my original world?
Celia: “Why would a Goddess even bother to intervene, and give you a second chance?” I ask with a serious tone.
Mika: “She is a pervert.” She replied.
Celia: “…”
Mika: “Right, I should probably explain that one more. Basically, I made a deal with her, to give her my used lingerie, after I had sex with Sia.” She said with an embarrassed tone.
Celia: “I have trouble believing that… No, I guess that there are some “interesting” God’s and Goddesses around. Why me, though?” I ask.
Mika: “She said that she would get someone that could actually help me out. As for your reward, she mentioned that you would receive a very good one.” She answered.
Celia: “Okay, what about my original body?” I ask with a serious tone.
Mika: “According to the Goddess, you’re just sleeping.” She replied.
Okay… let’s try to analyze this in detail… For some damn reason, a perverted, but very powerful Goddess, decided to randomly choose me to save this woman… The reward, better be fucking worth whatever effort I have to put in to save Mika…
Celia: “Where are we right now? How can you be a famous movie star, as a teenager?” I ask.
Mika: “I am not a teenager, but a 24 year old woman! I was just visiting my parents, that’s all. They haven’t changed my room at all.” She exclaimed.
Celia: “I see. When does that fucker attempt to kill you?” I ask with a serious tone.
Mika: “Fucker? Ah, you mean that asshole... Ah, right, that would be right about now.” She replied.
Celia: “What the hell do you mean by that!?” I yell in annoyance.
She didn’t answer, and I didn’t even need her to. I could easily smell that this house was in the process of burning down. I worry for her parents, but my goal is to save her, not them.
I opened up the window and looked out of it. This was just a two-story building, so if I jumped, the fall wouldn’t be too bad. The only problem, is that there isn’t really anything to safely land on.
Flames erupted around me, and I was struggling to figure out how to get out of this situation safely… On a whim, I tried using my System, and it actually worked!
Ruina: “Your System is connected to your soul, not your body. Your soul is inhabiting the same vessel as Mika. Even still, you can use most of your abilities.” She explained.
Celia: “I don’t really have much time, but are there any limits?” I ask.
Ruina: “This body is still that of a weak human. As such, she can still easily die.” She replied.
Celia: “Got it.” I reply with a nod.
I then quickly jumped out of the window. As this was a modern world, and it was unlikely to have magic, I only slowed down my fall. Rather than just fly. I even made sure to do a cool roll after I reached the ground.
Mika: “You gave me a heart attack! That fall should have killed us! Why didn’t it?…” She yelled.
Celia: “Yatta, Yatta, I have a System, like in those novels, and I can fly. I just stealthy did it this time.” I explain.
Mika: “Oh? That means that you can definitely save me then!” She yelled in excitement.
Celia: “Maybe? But I have two questions for you. What about your parents, and is this Goddess that you mentioned, really willing to help you for used panties?” I ask with a curious tone.
Mika: “And a used bra! My parents went out to dinner, so they’re safe. And that Goddess is a major pervert, who enjoys watching us live our lives as entertainment. She would be upset if I died. Since she would end up losing a good source of it.” She explained.
Celia: “Makes sense, I guess. What now?” I ask with a sigh.
Mika: “Call my girlfriend! She already knows about this, as I have tried to survive on my own many times already, but I kept failing to do so.” She replied.
I didn’t even realize that I still had her purse on me. With a sigh, I rummaged through her purse, and soon found her smartphone. Before calling the girlfriend, I looked at the date. It was 2020. Interesting, I guess?
Anyway, I asked Mika what her girlfriend’s phone number is, and she said just to click on her contacts. Oh, I wonder which contact is her girlfriend? It’s surely not the one titled, “My sweetest baby, my dearest girlfriend, Sia.” right?…
This is going to be a long and stupid journey, I can just feel it… I should at least try to have some fun, though. It’s been a decent while since I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing a modern world, after all. With that thought in mind, I clicked on Sia’s contact listing, and waited for it to ring.
