Chapter 7: Hunting.

(*Chandler’s POV*)

The man that I had hired to trick Tana seemed to fail his job. He was still alive when Tana had made it back to the port, so it would seem that she somehow figured out that he was a body double. What a bother…

Eventually, Tana will die by my hands. I just hoped that I could fake my death so that I could plan for hers in secret. If it wasn’t for my good friend, I would have been killed off many years ago. Tana is the only one that has gotten close enough to doing so.

Michael’s explanation still confuses me… Most, if not everyone, I am able to control. Unfortunately, I don’t have full control over people. I can just influence them somewhat. Tana is different, as she, no matter how hard I tried, completely resisted my control.

Faking her mother and sister’s death was easy, but nothing came of the research done on them. Like Tana, they also couldn’t be controlled. Michael said that it was simply because of their lineage. He implied that she has angel blood in her, to which Michael’s magic can’t affect them at all due to that.

While pondering how I should go about killing Tana, out of the corner of my eye, I witnessed Michael putting his things within his inventory, as he calls it. Huh? Is he going on vacation? At a time like this, when Tana is anxious for my death?…

Chandler: “Michael, where are you going?” I ask with a stern tone.

Michael: “Away from you. That is all that you need to know.” He replied while continuing to grab item after item.

Chandler: “Excuse me?” I reply with an annoyed tone.

Michael: “Your crimes have caught up to you, Chandler. I wish to leave before I get dealt with for being in the way.” He said with a sigh.

Chandler: “You’re making no sense, Michael.” I reply.

Michael: “A higher being, or rather, a Supreme Goddess, is coming to kill you on behalf of Tana.” He explained.

Chandler: “What?… You have to protect me! I demand, no I order you to do so!” I exclaim.

Michael: “To break the pact that we made would greatly injure me, but it is better than dying. Fair well, Chandler.” He said before vanishing before my eyes.

Chandler: “…”

Without Michael, will my orders be null? I felt something within me change, so it is clear that Michael broke the pact. As I look at my phone, I see countless messages. All threatening to kill me. All of my servants have left my estate. Which makes sense, as I don’t pay them at all. Once the mind control was gone, everyone woke up. Now, not only is some divine being after me, but the entire world is as well…

(*Celia’s POV*)

After leaving Tana’s estate, I just flew around for a while. Stupidly, as if I regressed in intelligence, I just assumed that I would find Chandler if I went to the most expensive looking estate. But it wasn’t as easy as that…

I didn’t plan to stay in this dimension for long, so I frankly did not care if people saw me flying around. I don’t think that many fantasy or divine beings live in this dimension at all, so people seeing me fly around is surely shocking.

While flying, I thought back to Chandler. To me, such control would only make sense if he had some kind of special power. Said power probably didn’t work on Tana, which is why Chandler was so into her. I doubt that his power will work on me, so I just have to find the fucker and put him down.

Unknown Voice: “Excuse me, flying lady, could you please come down here?” She asked.

Looking at the direction of the voice, it was from some high class lady with a megaphone. She was in the passenger seat of a very nice car, leaning out the window to get my attention. I was curious about what she wanted, so I flew over to a place where they could safely park their car.

Celia: “What can I help you with?” I ask with a curious tone after coming over to her car window.

Anastasia: “Hello, please call me Anastasia. You seem to be an oddly magical being, so I was wondering if you could help us out?” She replied.

Celia: “Ah, my name is Celia. And like I said, what do you need help with?” I ask once more.

Anastasia: “You see, there is a horrible man called Chandler Price. For a long time, he controlled pretty much anyone with power, via slight mind control. He achieved this with what he gloated as a fallen angel giving him the power.” She explained.

Celia: “Hah! I knew that he had to have had some special power to get away with his crimes.” I exclaim.

Anastasia: “You know of him?” She asked with a surprised tone.

Celia: “I do. I am the Supreme Goddess of Lesbian Love, Celia. I didn’t specifically come to this dimension to deal with him, but as fate would as it, I am the girl for the job. Besides, leaving him to do such crazy things would be a bad idea.” I explain.

Anastasia: “That is great! As for Chandler, it seems that he lost that power, as we have all broken out of his control. Frankly, it is only a matter of time before someone kills him, but I think that relying on a higher power like you would be a far safer method.” She said with a serious tone.

Celia: “Yeah, I highly doubt that he can control me. As for that man, I am currently hunting Chandler down at the moment. I don’t actually know where he is, though.” I say with a slightly embarrassed tone.

Anastasia: “I hate to admit it, but I was one of his playthings for a while. As such, I know where he lives. Chandler’s estate is like a fortress, so I am decently sure that he is still there, even with all of us threatening to kill him.” She explained.

Celia: “That so? I am sorry that happened to you. Could you perhaps point me in his direction?” I ask.

Anastasia: “Rather than point, I can drive you to his estate.” She offered.

Celia: “That would be great!” I say with a happy smile.

Anastasia was clearly a high class lady, but she still scooted over to let me into the car. Which was a gesture I felt was quite cute, and something that I appreciated. It goes without saying, but it seems that people will treat you well when you’re a higher being.

Which begs the question, why is my first instinct to kill the higher beings that messed with me? Granted, I still want to kill them. Killing Lew didn’t sate my desire to kill them, and I doubt that I will ever lose that desire until I do. Maybe I am petty? Regardless of the answer, I just hope that the Creator didn’t off them. I need my petty revenge, after all… She did say that she banished them, but I cannot take her words as the complete truth. This is what I thought about on the trip to kill my latest prey…
