When its Master returned the next time, the Kobold almost hadn't sensed him at all. It wasn't until he was nearby that the link between them brought it back from the endless cycle of pain. When the warm feeling spread through its body, the Kobold wanted nothing more than to latch onto that warmth. It didn't like be alone, not one bit...
As if understanding its pain, the Kobold's Master gently stroked its head and said, "I won't leave you in here anymore...I'm sorry for making you have to go through this." Though it didn't understand its Master's words, the Kobold felt an elation, unlike anything it had ever experienced before. It believed that the loneliness would go away forever this time. Just imagining, yes, 'imagining', spending all of its time by it's Master's side made the Kobold unbelievably excited...
This time, after another series of happy moments, it's Master turned to it and passed his warm fingers through the mangy coat of fur before saying, "The next time, I'll be sure to help you become stronger. I'll try not to keep you waiting long..." Not understanding what its Master was saying, the Kobold simply nodded its head. The care and concern it was receiving was the only thing that mattered, at least until a 'collapsing' feeling appeared in its body. In the next instant, the Kobold found itself within its core once again. Then, as it had experienced a very long time ago, it was surrounded by endless darkness. A feeling of profound sadness spread through the Kobold's 'heart' but, as the bond it had towards its Master was still active, it decided to believe in his words once again...
Fortunately, the wait this time wasn't nearly as long as the previous times. The Kobold felt happy when it finally came out of its core once again, at least until it saw that it was in the strange space with the scary girl. A panic, unlike anything it had ever experienced, began to spread through its body. If not for the warm energy coming from its Master, the Kobold felt like it wouldn't have been able to go on. However, this fear faded away very quickly when it's Master uttered the words that would change its life forever, "From now on...you shall bear the record of Fenrir!"
A massive flood of energy began to enter the body of the Kobold, now understanding it was named Fenrir. The energy was overwhelming but caused an incredible excitement to spread through Fenrir's body because this was an energy that belonged to it. When the flood of energy began to cease, Fenrir turned towards the hateful space overhead and, channeling the power inside of itself, began to destroy it. Now that it had power, it refused to be held inside this space once again. Even if its Master didn't want to take it along, Fenrir was determined to follow him. It wanted to prove that it was no longer the weak and frail Kobold of the past...
