Compared to Sophia’s stats, mine are definitely abnormal. Even though I'm just a level 3 human, my Strength and Agility stats already exceed two hundred. My Magic stat, however, remains low, which is expected since I haven’t yet learned how to use magic.

To me, my own status appears as follows:

[Jack Saunders. Level 3 Human]

Strength: 17 + 250 (enhanced)

Agility: 21 + 252 (enhanced)

Magic: 12

Special Abilities:

Firearm mastery 5 Martial arts mastery level 9 Mental status immunity Legendary Onii-chan skill set Onii-chan is the strongest! Onii-chan is the smartest! Onii-chan is the coolest! Onii-chan is the scariest! Onii-chan never forsakes his sister!

Divine Blessing:

Legendary Onii-chan

My body modifications grant me an additional 250 points in Strength and 252 points in Agility, which is impressive. Even without these enhancements, my base stats are commendably high. This boost is primarily due to the Legendary Onii-chan passive skill set associated with my Divine Blessing:

Onii-chan is the Strongest! - Muscle Growth: +500% Onii-chan is the Smartest! - Learning Capability: +500%, Thinking Speed: +200% Onii-chan is the Coolest! - Handsomeness: +10000% Onii-chan is the Scariest! - x10 Damage When Fighting Little Sister's Boyfriend Onii-chan Never Forsakes His Sister! - Mental Status Immunity: Resistant to Mind Attacks, Immune to World Correction.

Yes, I would say that they are very good skills. With those skills and the determination to find Anna, I was able to rise to the top of society and become a multi-billionaire, then use money to prepare for my journey here. But, for some reason, my level is still 3, even though I never skip any day at the gym.

Could it be that leveling up is exclusive to this world?

That's my hypothesis.

And I don’t want to share that information yet, even to Sophia, so I just move to the next topic.

“Sophia, why does the king want to turn us into slaves?”

“Oh, that. I don’t really know, I merely followed orders."

From the look in her eyes, I can tell she isn't lying. It's plausible that even someone of Sophia's stature wouldn't be involved in the royal plans. It makes sense.

“But have you ever thought about this? Do you have any possible explanation that you can think of?”

"Well, I might have some theories," Sophia begins, sharing her insights.

Basically, summoning and then raising heroes from another world is not cheap, but it is still cheaper and more preferable than sending an actual royal or noble person to the frontline to fight against the demonic forces. So, in a sense, we are just scapegoats for those noble bastards.

But the question remains, why turn us into slaves?

One hypothesis is that they lack the means—or perhaps the will—to send us back, given that the cost of returning would mirror that of summoning. It's more economical and makes more sense to simply exploit or enslave us. That way, our power can still be useful to them.

On the other hand, another theory revolves around the perverse desires of certain nobility. Sophia once mentioned a Lady Arina, who reportedly indulges in illicit affairs with summoned men. Several other nobles share this predilection, offering lavish sums to the king for the privilege of enslaving a hero of their fancy. Some even hope their progeny might inherit potent Divine Blessings, leading them to seek offspring with otherworlders.

But no matter what the reason is, this is already messed up. Hiroshi and Takumi, the two boys summoned alongside us, might still be blissfully unaware of their potential fates, enjoying luxuries for the time being. Yet, I can't help but wonder about their future. Will they be consigned to battle the demon hordes? Or does the king have other designs for them?

But that's none of my concerns.

Anna is my sole priority. Given their treatment of the summoned, I shudder to think of the troubles my little sister might have endured upon her arrival. If that wretched king harmed her in any way, I might just lose my temper and decide to assassinate him tonight.

"By the way, Sophia, have you come across a summoned individual resembling me? A young girl with blonde hair and blue eyes named Anna?"

However, Sophia shakes her head in response. "I haven't seen anyone like that in Valeria. Yet, there are hundreds of summoned individuals scattered across the seven kingdoms. It's possible she was summoned elsewhere."

"Ah, I see. Thank you."

So my Anna is not here. If I want to find her I will have to gather much more information.

That’s all I needed to hear. Sophia looks very tired, so I let Sophia sleep on the bed with the kids after a brief planning on what to do tomorrow. Meanwhile, I lie down on the floor. I notice Sophia's initial reluctance, given the traditional master-slave dynamics. Yet, I assure her it's fine. It’s not really a good idea for me to share the same bed with Yumi and Hana anyway.

And then, drifting into sleep, memories flood back to my childhood. I remember purchasing a Snow White storybook for Anna, and for the subsequent five months, I became the protective Dwarf to my little sister princess.

Anna, wait for me…

We will be together again

Very soon…
