Niuniax Hey, I'm back.   And here is a new chapter. Enjoy.

Since they had a free day for themselves, Narias used the time to go to the library to read some books about the Magic Dungeon. After the encounter against the Shadowleaf Boars and the Rhabitooths, he wanted to learn more about the monsters, or anything else they might encounter on the second floor the next time they go there. The older male librarian greeted him at the library’s counter. Narias explained what kind of books he was looking for and the man was happy to help him find them.

After a good three hours of reading, and taking notes vigorously, Narias was graciously reminded by his stomach that he needed to eat. Unfortunately, he couldn’t take the books with him this time. Only books about the first floor of the Magic Dungeon were available to take away home for the students. Anything about the second floor, and below, was always kept in the library. There were some books available to take away, but the students would have to have a special permission to do so.

Right, so the leaves on the Shadowleaf Boar might look slightly damaged compared to the normal plants growing on the second floor due to the monsters moving around. And the Rhabitooth’s movements can be predicted depending on which way the monster is facing before it jumps. Narias was reviewing parts of the information that he had read in his head. He was on his way to Sally’s Magic Diner to eat something. I’ll have to take a better look at the Shadowleaf Boar next time we go into the dungeon, but the Rhabitooths were too fast to follow up with how they moved to be able to predict them. Besides, they were hiding before attacking us, which makes it even harder to do so. Sigh…

Narias lowered his head as he walked, holding on to his chin at the same time. Sally’s Magic Diner was rather quiet when he arrived. The academy had classes at this hour, so not many patrons were around. There was a familiar face sitting at one of the tables, however.

Miss Salroze? As he noticed the attractive, slim teacher, Belinda noticed him back, adding a curiously cheeky smile on her face. She smiled at Narias, throwing a glance at the table she was sitting at, almost inviting him to join her. I should at least go say hello to her.

“Good day to you, Miss Salroze,” Narias greeted her politely, adding a genuinely happy smile to it.

“Why hello there. I didn’t expect to see you here at this hour,” Belinda was in an equally good mood.

“I was reading at the library from an early morning and came here to eat something,” he explained himself.

“Reading, hmph?” The female teacher wasn’t surprised by his response. “I’m glad you’re taking care of your body as well as you mind. Have a seat.”

“Huh? Here?” Narias wasn’t sure about sitting down at the same table.

“Is something wrong?” Belinda pierced him with her violet eyes.

“Ah, no. Thank you, Miss Salroze,” refusing to sit down might’ve been out right rude. Besides, Narias had no idea why he hesitated to sit down at her table in the first place. Well, maybe he did, but he came here to eat and not… do anything else.

“And what are you thinking about?” Belinda picked up her glass to have a drink, not exactly looking at Narias as she asked the question.

“N… nothing…” Narias was looking away, scratching his cheek with one. But he instantly realized Belinda had caught on already, otherwise she wouldn’t had asked the question. “Well… I think you look lovely today, Miss Salroze.”

“Cough…” Belinda choked on her drink just lightly, cheeks becoming more reddish than before. Fortunately, there weren’t any other patrons sitting close by, so nobody noticed it. “You… really know your way with words.”

“Sorry,” he felt awkward for putting Miss Salroze in such uncomfortable position. “But I really think you do.”

“Aghm… hmph…” Belinda cleared her throat, her cheeks catching another flush. “Thank you, my ‘dream guy’.” The slim teacher felt like getting back at him.

“Huh? Aah…” and it worked, because Narias became flustered himself.

“Hah, you honestly look cute when you’re flustered,” the words simply shot from Belinda’s mouth as she was lost in the moment. She was happy she managed to get the upper hand on her dream guy.

“Hello there, can I take your order, please?” A young waitress saved the day by appearing out of nowhere to take Narias’s order.

“Yes, can I have…” her question helped Narias straighten up. He placed his order, with Belinda ordering an extra drink for herself.

“Thank you. It will take a few minutes,” the cheerful waitress bowed and walked away.

“You really have guts, you know,” Belinda finally said in a more serious tone.

“Ah, sorry about that,” Narias rubbed the back of his head.

“I was talking about your recent dungeon exploration.” Belinda gave him the ‘come on, you’ stare.

“Oh, that,” he smiled. “Yeah, it just happened and… Wait, how do you know, Miss Salroze?”

“I checked the Magic Dungeon exploration records first thing in the morning after I arrived to school today. Well, that is… I was… curious, that’s all,” Belinda averted her eyes, realizing she might’ve given herself away. After a moment or two, she let out a relaxing sigh. She looked directly Narias in the eyes, cheeks burning red. “I was worried, ok? I already knew your group would go for the Fanged Whitemane Wolf, but I didn’t expect you’d go explore the second floor of the Magic Dungeon as well.”

She was worried about me? Narias’s heart skipped a beat.

“Thank you… Belinda,” he felt like hugging her, but couldn’t. Even if there weren’t many patrons inside the diner, they were still at the academy and someone could be watching. But at the same time, it didn’t look like Belinda was against being called by her first name this time. “Wait, does that mean my group’s dungeon exploration details are available for everyone to see?”

“Not for everyone. The academy doesn’t disclose all the details for other students to see. The official Achievement Board displays only the main details, like if a group had killed a boss monster, or if someone had encountered a rare monster. Only the teachers get access to all the details,” Belinda explained.

“I see,” Narias held his chin, thinking about it.

“Apologies for the wait, here are your orders,” before Narias could add anything else, the waitress came back with their food and drinks. “Enjoy your meal.”

“Thank you,” Narias’s mouth started watering as soon as the smell of delicious food was presented in front of him.

“Hah, you’re really hungry, aren’t you?” Belinda found it amusing.

“Ah… haha,” he could only laugh about it himself.

“Take your time,” she waved her hand with a smile.

“But don’t you have class yourself, Miss Salroze?” Narias wondered.

“Not yet. I had one before I came here. One of my classes got cancelled due to majority of the students going into the Magic Dungeon. I had time to spare, so I came here to be by myself and relax. Never expected to meet you here, however. And before you say anything, I’m… glad to have some company.” The slim teacher explained, bringing her glass with a drink to her sexy lips.

“Ah, right. Ok,” she probably knew what Narias would’ve said and that surprised him. But he was even more surprised to hear the reason why her class was cancelled. “Wait, really? The whole class went into the Magic Dungeon?”

“Yes, and I can understand your surprise. I didn’t expect it myself. Looking back, it was difficult to motivate the first-year students to take the Magic Dungeon exploration test seriously, but now we need to bring outside help to act as guides to accommodate all the students who want to go into the dungeon.” Belinda waved her hand as she told him about it. “It is partly thanks to you, you know.”

“Me?” Narias’s fork stopped midair before reaching his mouth.

“Well, your group’s achievements to be more precise. After the dungeon exploration test results were announced, we started to receive more and more request from the students wanting to go into the Magic Dungeon. That wasn’t unexpected, to tell you the truth. The real surprise came when the number of students wanting to explore the dungeon spiked two weeks ago. Jean is happy about it, but the increase was too big and too sudden for my liking.” Belinda had some suspicions about why so many students decided they want to go into the Magic Dungeon all of a sudden.

“But that’s good, isn’t it? That means, the Magic Dungeon will be open for us to explore,” Narias thought that was great news.

“Yes, but the risk of students getting injured raises as well. You guys were prepared and did very well during your run, but the same can’t be said about all the students. A lot of them, especially the first-year students, think it’ll be an easy walk in the park. On many occasions, they don’t even bring enough supplies with them and think they can find, and kill, the Fanged Whitemane Wolf easily. Sigh… You are particularly responsible for that one,” Belinda shook her head.

“Me?” Narias’s eyebrows jumped up in astonishment.

“Don’t tell me you have no idea what I’m talking about. Someone was flashing his Whitemane Leather Armor in front of the other students before leaving for another dungeon exploration run. Do I need to say who it was?” Belinda leaned on the table, adding a mischievous smile on her face.

“Oh, that… Instructor Dreknor told us to meet him at the arena before going into the dungeon, so…” Narias averted his eyes away, throwing one hand behind his head.

“That armor must’ve made quite an impression on the other students, because that’s all I hear about when I go to the Magic Dungeon as a guide. However, many students don’t bother preparing well for the dungeon runs. They also think killing the Fanged Whitemane Wolf is an easy task. It makes me so mad… humph,” the female teacher leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms under her chest.

“Well…” Narias didn’t know what to say to that. In his mind, planning, training and preparing for a dungeon exploration run was a given.

“Anyway, I wanted to apologize to you as well,” Belinda said, averting her eyes away for some reason.

“Apologize? For what?” he couldn’t think of anything why she would need to do that.

“About… me not having enough time to keep my promise to you. I planned to invite you to my place this week to train, but then you registered for a dungeon exploration run. I thought I’ll wait and talk to you about it when you come back, but then more students started registering as well and now I have to go to the Magic Dungeon with another group tomorrow.” Belinda didn’t sound excited about the dungeon run when she mentioned it.

“What about next week then?” Narias wondered.

“Next week?” She stared at him, her eyes catching a glimmer of excitement. “You mean, you want to spend your off-school holiday time with me?”

“Oh, right… Next week is…” Narias was reminded that, starting next week, all students will have two weeks off from school. He instantly felt bad about his suggestion. “Sorry, I forgot about it. I will be going home to visit my parents. But… but maybe I could come back earlier and…”

“Hah, don’t worry about it. I figured you had forgotten about it. And I never expected we would see each other during your holiday anyway,” Belinda didn’t mind, even if she had some hope of it happening.

“But I’d love to,” Narias’s words forced her to look back up at him again.

“What?” Her eyes started sparkling again.

“I’d love to visit you again. I mean, it might’ve been a ‘dream’, but it was real to me. I… I would love to spend more time with you… Belinda,” Narias’s tried to keep his voice down, but Belinda was listening so intently, her ears caught every word he uttered.

“Well, if… if you insist,” Belinda picked up her glass to have a drink again, her eyes jumping left and right. “I’ll be at home during the holiday season, so if you come back early… But I’ll understand if you can’t make it.”

“I promise I will. I have to train, don’t I?” Narias smiled wide.

Huh? How can he say it so… Oh, he probably meant ‘training’ as in… normal training. Tch… Damn, he better show up now. Belinda didn’t know where to look to not give away how flustered she was.

“Yes… you need to train. That’s what we agreed on. So… you better keep your word, because I don’t intend to hold back,” she smirked with a smile, cheeks flashing red.

“Of course,” Narias agreed happily.

“Ahem… Sorry, but I have to go back now. My class will start soon. We probably won’t see each other until then, since I will be going to the dungeon tomorrow, so… enjoy your off-school holiday.”

“Thank you, Miss Salroze. And be careful in the dungeon,” Narias stood up as the teacher was about to leave.

“Hmph, I will. See you later, my dream guy,” Narias’s heart sank to his knees when Belinda sent him a wink. He kept staring at her walking away, her hip movements glueing Narias’s eyes on her sexy ass. She most probably made an effort to make him do that.

Wow. She’s totally… I mean, that was… Narias couldn’t find the right words to describe the experience.

“Hello again, would you like to order something else?” After a few moments of Narias still silently standing there by himself, the same waitress came to ask if there was anything else he wished to order.

“Ah, yes. Can I have this cold drink… aah… what was it called again…” He had to pick up the menu to find what the drink was called. The waitress took his order happily and was gone the next minute, leaving Narias yet to come back from his Dream World, whatever he was thinking about.
