‘Did they go out with each other in the past?’ Yoonshin thought.

Once he started to open his heart to Sehun, all sorts of petty things bothered him.

Yoonshin grumbled to himself and dropped his eyes, kneading his palms for no reason.

Just then, the people near the stairs started to murmur, and Yoonshin felt someone come close to him.

His row was in the corner of the theater and had only four seats, and Yoonshin was surrounded in all directions by empty seats. He expected nobody else to sit in his row. He was about to ignore the person who came up to him, but he flinched when a familiar fragrance tickled his nose. When he turned his head, the person on his mind was standing next to him.

Sehun.

Yoonshin stared up at the partner lawyer. Sehun looked slightly frustrated at Yoonshin’s reaction and frowned. “Stop gawking and move.”

“Oh, yes, sorry.” Perplexed, Yoonshin finally tucked his legs. Sehun sat to Yoonshin’s left. The central seat of the front row next to Attorney Song, which supposedly was Sehun’s, was empty. As Sehun moved to the furthest row to the back, Yoonshin could feel the attention of everyone swarming his way. Although they couldn’t stare blatantly, the interest that buzzed in the air was uncomfortable enough.

Feeling awkward, Yoonshin rubbed his slender neck with his palm, then he leaned toward Sehun and whispered in a low voice, “Why did you come here? All the others are staring this way because of you.”

“Should I leave then?” Sehun challenged.

“Do you need to say it like that?”

“Too late, I already said it like that.”

Spurred by Sehun’s response, Yoonshin didn’t feel like backing out. He had felt this since the start, but Sehun oddly provoked his competitive side. “So, why did you come here? Because of me?”

Sehun, who had finally glanced at Yoonshin, looked impassive. He seemed to have already come to an answer internally but was debating whether to tell Yoonshin. Eventually, he made up his mind and replied with a short sigh, “To begin with, I wasn’t supposed to be able to come here. I made time that I didn’t have to see you, so it would be meaningless if you were sitting so far away. Why are you asking something so obvious? I don’t understand.”

‘Because dating is about those processes and asking those questions,’ Yoonshin wanted to tell him but dropped the thought. Instead, he asked what he wanted to hear the answer of more than anything, “Then, why did you ignore me and go downstairs at first?”

“I’m not like you, who came to enjoy yourself, right? Everyone here is busy, so it’s not easy for the head of each department to gather like this. I went because I had things to talk about,” Sehun explained.

“You came here to see me even though you had other things to do? Why?”

“Why do you think? I wanted to see you for a moment. Are you going to keep asking me these kinds of questions?”

“Not everyone is as smart as you.”

“You’re asking even though you know the answer. You look anxious. Did something happen?”

Yoonshin wondered how he should explain his worries to Sehun.

Something must have happened, but not to him. Yoonshin wanted to know about the events that might have happened to Sehun Kang. Sehun and Mihee looked like they knew each other very well—almost too well. Naturally, couldn’t something have sparked between them as man and woman?

After deliberation, Yoonshin couldn’t keep it in any longer and spilled his curiosity. His whispering voice grew slightly loud. Being conscious of that, the end of his sentence cracked slightly. “Have you ever been in a relationship with Senior Attorney Song?”

When he heard this, Sehun grimaced in disbelief and scoffed. Then, he asked back, “Are you sick somewhere?”

“Depending on your answer, my heart could hurt or not.”
