・─ Fort's POV

In the throne room of the castle, I find myself pleading with my father today.

I am on my knees on the floor as he stands before the throne.

"Your Highness, I am begging you to allow me to graduate this year. I am eager to become a Holy Knight of the world church cathedral as quickly as possible!"

I address him formally. I express my excitement and enthusiasm in my words.

I deeply admire the Holy Knights and aspire to be like them.

It is the reason why I have been honing my sword skills since I was a child.

"Why? You are only 20 years old. Stay at the Academy alongside your friends and do not rush things," Perplexed, my father questions my request. He says with a serious expression.

"I yearning for the title and the position of a 'Holy Knight' Dad, I am being earnest."

"Dear, Let it be."

However, to my surprise, my mother suddenly appears. I am taken aback as she intervenes in the conversation.

"Fort is resolute in his decision, and he has the drive to overcome any challenge. Aren't you glad to see our son grow up with such confidence?" my mother says with a smile.

"Alright."

My father, seemingly convinced by my mother's words, relents and says.

"Thank you, mother and father! I will strive to fulfill my role as the heir."

I exclaimedly happily, feeling relieved, I express my gratitude to both my mother and father.

My happiness knows no bounds.

"You are fortunate to have your mother's support, and that is why I approve." My father, though hesitant initially, admit, as he spoke in a grave tone, his hand resting on his chin.

"...Dear."

Mother's voice, once joyful, now carries an unsettling weight.

I made the decision to leave.

Standing up, I turned away, closing my eyes and gripping my hands tightly.

"AAAAAHH STOP DEAR, MY WIFE─UGNH!"

As I made my way towards the gate, I suddenly heard my father cry out in pain, pleading for help in distress.

Father, you must continue living for us.

Life is precious and we have the strength to overcome any challenge.

Do not be resistant and learn to trust others.

Meanwhile.

Rin: I-Is this an e-earthquake we're experiencing?!

Eria: The castle seems quite lively.

As the two walked through the hallway, they could feel the ground trembling beneath their feet.

Rin became nervous, while Eria remained calm, aware of the situation.

・─ Istera's POV

At the academy dormitory, having completed all the lessons for the day, I decided to visit my sister in her room, hoping to spend some time together outside.

"Asen, would you like to accompany me? I feel like going out," I asked, while she sat on a comfortable chair.

I noticed her engrossed in a book about special abilities.

"Very well, let us proceed. I have completed my lessons and I have been informed by my acquaintances that an individual known to them has been sending you a letter. Is it courting?"

She remarked as she closed her book and emitted a light-hearted laugh.

...This girl.

"Asen, the way you speak makes you appear older than me. Yes, it was quite bothersome. Truly," I chuckled, and she stood up and moved closer to me, and we exited the room.

"Actually, you are the older one here, and I must admit, I feel that sometimes you prefer alone. Let's embrace this moment and enjoy our time together," she solemnly expressed.

Was she constantly behaving in this manner?

"Say something."

I am at a loss for words.

"Rin will be commencing her activities next week, and we shall have the opportunity to meet her soon."

I desire to change the topic as I was pondering about my younger sister.

"Yes, I am filled with anticipation. These days, she has been diligently participating in her lessons and training without pause. Her abilities must be regulated and utilized accordingly―"

We arrived at the lounge, and as we engaged in pleasant conversation, several members of the vampire community approached us, one after another.

"Well, we are currently facing the situation of confronting Ueno. I am uncertain of what course of action to take in this scenario?"

"""""Right."""""

They said casually, adjusting their hair as they observed others teasing them with crossed arms.

"If you're looking for blood, don't worry, I'll purchase some for you and have it sent to your room later," Asen replied calmly.

...Is this really my sister?

I recall her being shy and not talking much like Rin.

Time flies.

"That's not it!" she exclaimed, feeling embarrassed.

"I understand, very well," Asen responded.

"I, the vampire Mirin, will leave now. Let's go, everyone."

They walked away, laughing at us, leaving us in silence as we exchanged glances.

"Don't be like that, okay?"

"What kind of impression do you have of me?!" I exclaimed.

"...Asen... I believe she wants to befriend us. Let's approach her someday," I said in an audible breath.

She ignored me and she looked towards the training area.

"She is a princess of Arias. ...But first, would you listen?"

Arias Empire holds the position of Deputy Holder, which is next to my father.

"Her wind magic is quite remarkable, as she skillfully inserts it into a sword."

"You also use a sword, correct? And you possess the powers of fire and earth."

"Yes, that is correct. However, my attempts were futile. I tried incorporating my fire magic into the sword, but it ended up melting."

...She appears disappointed.

"Well, it's to be expected. I presumed your sword was made of crystal?" I replied with a smile.

"Is her sword also constructed from crystal?"

"Yes, indeed. It is made of crystal. By infusing our mana into the crystal, we can increase its capacity. If our mana exceeds the limits, it can cause the crystal stone to transform due to the strength of our powers. To give an example: I refer to it as a metal sword, and upon infusing my mana, the crystal stone changes its form."

"Thank you," she suddenly embraced me, reminiscent of our childhood.

"Um, well... You're welcome. But... haven't you been paying attention in our lessons?"

"I apologize, but the reason for my lack of attentiveness was due to feeling drowsy," she admitted in a subdued manner.

"You have neglected listening to the lessons?!"

I yelled at her, and I retract my previous expression of happiness.

"I Implore you to pay close attention!" I exclaimed at her.

"Y-Yes. Your overwhelming demeanor is causing me distress."

"You have resumed your habit of reading books every night, Asen? Please regain control of yourself, avoid unnecessary complications, and refrain from hurrying through life, as time slips away rapidly," I passionately conveyed, embracing her tightly.

"Yes."

...I am merely concerned for your well-being.

・─ Asen's POV

At the training area.

After organizing my belongings, I proceeded to follow the instructions given by my sister a few days ago.

I will employ the use of fire magic and infuse it into the crystal stone.

I shall attempt to cast [Inferno], taking a considerable risk.

Furthermore, I shall not be harmed by the fire, for the mana emanating from it is under my control.

「Inferno」

An entity, akin to wind, emerged from within me, and suddenly I found myself engulfed in flames that soared to the height of my body, enveloping me in the center.

...Hmm? Something seems amiss.

My mana capacity did not meld with the crystal stone.

... ...I must have erred.

I am overcome with disappointment.

""""""AAAAHHHH!""""""

"""What has occurred?"""

"Ueno is... .

Haah, those students are making a commotion. Also, this is a training area and I only made a mistake.

...I forgot [Inferno] can spread anywhere, and I don't have water magic. Maybe I'll just wait for my sister.

「Water Fall」The dimension rainfall from above came pouring down only at the fire surroundings.

...The girl I saw earlier.

I'm relieved.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes. I only made a mistake, thank you for your help."

...She's leaving okay I'll start again.

「Inferno Blade」

The crystal stone changed to an inferno blade figuration, the hilt of the sword is crystal stone, and the blade is blazing.

"I did it."

This is so amazing.

"A-Asen! Are you okay? I heard―"

My sister teleported behind me, and worried about me.

"Istera! I did it! Thank you very much. Ah, earlier I made a mistake. I'm fine, anyway, I did it!"

"Come on... ..Yes, yes," she let out a sign of relief.

"How about you? You're using a spear, right?"

"Yes, since I only have creator magic, I release the poltergeist and insert it into the spear with lightning magic."

"You're capable of using wind magic right? How about your wind magic that can make you fly sister?"

"You have a point but my mana is only average because my dragon bloodline is concealed but I'll try it. Thanks."

Still, I wondered if my earth magic could shape anything.

... ...I guess I'll read more and train.
