He slowly retracted his arm and looked at Beatrix with a warm and sad smile then he remembered the day she was born.
That was 21 years ago when he was 5, they were having a family picnic at the park, all laughs and joy spreading in the air, him and his father were playing with his mini drone and his mom was sitting on a mat under a tree taking a video of them playing, she was 7 months pregnant then. After they were done, they came and sat on the mat and began to eat some sandwich then his mom try standing up to pick the Jam jar but suddenly she was falling back down, his fathers reaction was quick and he caught her before she reached the ground. As his father held her in his hand, she lost conciousness, he could remember screaming "MOM" when he saw blood staining her cloth.
When they were at the hospital, he was crying in his father's embrace while his father coax him gently when he doctor came.
"Sir, am sorry to inform you but the bullet damaged her muscle severely, causing internal injuries and she had lost alot of blood. We can perform an operation remove the baby but the mother may not survive, and even if we operate and remove the baby, it will a premature birth but the baby reached 7 months, so there might be a chance of survival" the doctor explained
"What did she choose?" his father asked with a cold voice
"She asked us to save her baby sir"
"Then do as she ordered"
"Ok sir"
Chris was in his deep thought, even today he still blamed his father his mother's death, if only he didn't have enemies. Although, the assassin that shot his mother was found just 10min after the incident, he was found dead, he was killed by a poison, it was a remotely detonated poison that is controlled by nanobots that were injected into his blood stream.
"What are you thinking about?" Beatrix asked as she rubbed her eyes with her palm
"Mom" he replied with a emotionless voice
"Oh" sophie stared at him for a while then crawled to the side he was sitting and hugged him while leaning her head on his shoulder
"I wish you met her" he lay his head on her head and smiled and they both stayed quiet for a long while.

"Mom, any word from the boss about our next move" Sohie asked as she took a bite of an apple in her hand
"No, am still waiting but she said soon"
"Ok, i heard the oldman wants to transfer all his property to Chris" she bite the apple again
"I heard same news, am thinking thats when we will make move"
"Well, i have to go now, i will meet Chris's at the Marks Mansion" she dropped the apple on a plate on a table next to her and stood up.
"You are going to meet him?" Mrs. John asked with a confused voice
"Yeah why?"
"Sophie" she pursed her lips then continued "Dont.Get.Too.Attached" she emphasized every word in the sentense making it sound like a warning.
Sophie just rolled her eyes and went out, the driver was already waiting for her, her mother look at her leave through the window, her gaze followed the car till it was out of sight.
