Chris stared at the woman standing at the door in disbelief. He slowly released Sophie from his embrace then put her behind him.
"Yes. Me. Were you expecting some mad druglord or underworld king?" she laughed sarcastically
She waved at a man standing behind her, he passed her a folder then she walked over to Chris and gave to him, he was hesitating to take it so she shove it in his hand. He opened the folder and read the content, his emotion turned to disgust, anger and hatred.
He looked her with a deadshot glare "You tried to destroy Beatrix's dignity because of this?"
"Yes and i will do it again. I Killed many people just to get this, well some got killed by accident" she paused then stared at him and smirked "Some. Like your mother".
Chris looked at her with a heart broken face "what?"
"Lets just say she got in the way, your father was the target" she smirked "Its a pity she died, i really felt my heart in pain. But for just like a minute" then she laughed like a maniac
"You killed my mother. Dont you feel disgusted by your action"
"It was for a greater cause"
Chris laughed sarcastically "Greater cause?"
"Ok, let me tell you the story. And since we are telling stories, i think Sophie should know too since it was her father who killed your mother" she smirked
They both looked at her with a shocked and confused expression, what she said was like a bomb dropped in their face.
"Sophie, am sure you dont know that your father is an assassin and your current mother is actually your step-mother" she stopped then rubbed her chin "Mmmmm and yes i killed your father" she grinned
"So you lied to us?" Sophie asked and stood infront of Chris
"Correct. And you fell for it, i needed to get more leverage on him. Beatrix and you but you made it even better by getting pregnant, congratulations by the way. I just hope the baby don't die" she smirked evily and continued "Now let me clear all your minds"
She cleared her throat then began "Mr. Mark was never suppose to be the successor of the Mark family but because my husband died and my child wasn't born yet, it was given to your father but it was made clear that after my birth, all the family business will be given back to us. After i gave birth, your father refused to sign the document nor did he even give us a share in the business. So i took it on to me to make things right. I asked Sophies father to kill him, and that was the day you were out at the park" she paused "Am sure you know the rest Chris"
She looked at Sophie "After your father failed his mission, i couldn't risk getting caught. Before he went on the mission i installed Poison Injecting Nanobot, PIN for short, into his blood stream which i do in every person who works for me. So i just had to kill him or else i will get killed"
Chris looked at Sophie with a cold expression "So you really didn't love me?, you were just using me?"
"No, dont say that Chris" she shook her head "I love you Chris"
"Why should i believe?"
"Because i didn't kill your child" she rubbed her tummy as her eyes welled up
"Pfft, you might just turn on me after i sign this"
"Chris, she just told me she killed my father, do you think i will forgive her?"
He stared at Beatrix then embraced her "I will get us out of here"
Leaning on his chest "How?"
"He should have been here by now" Chris looked at his wrist watch
"Who?"
"Me" James was sitting on the window looking at them
Upon hearing his voice, they both turned "Took you long enough" Chris released Sophie and walked up to him
He laughed sarcastically "Sneaking around enemy territory is a walk in the park"
"Whats with the attitude?"
"Not even a thank you for saving me James" he made funny voices as he spoke
"Complete the rescue first. Come on lets go" Chris opened the door then held Sophie's hand and walked out.
"Next time i wont come" he followed behind
They all walked quietly to stairs, they walked down the stair and suddenly Chris saw three men guarding the exit, he some hand signals to James and he nodded then walked out and distracted them as Chris sneaked behind them and stabbed them all, but they miscalculated, there were four guards, the last one went to get beer. Upon seeing them, he sounded the alarm. Out of Frustration, chris threw the knife at him, stabbing his neck.
James threw him one gun and they started shooting as the men started invading them, but the men were too many and 3min of shooting they were surrounded, they slowly stood up from their cover.
"Trying to escape aga....." the boss stopped mid sentense
James eyes widened in shock "MOM!"
