The fort doesn't have an entrance, but the Great Knights of Lister don't dare to make gates or bridges, apparently.

I don't know if we're in and out of here because of Lyla and the others, but if they don't have the means to travel like that, it's surprisingly common in Renfangas cities and fortifications.

"Some labyrinth demons cleverly convey ladders and entrances and exits for humans, but all that springs up in the land of Renfangas is big. Most things you can't climb high. It's safer not to have a side entrance or exit without even the rocky ones."

"Much so for augs and dwarves..."

Auga has low jumping power.

With leg muscle strength but more weight than that, you can only jump to a height not so different from that of a human.

No, the kind of guy who gets to be ace night doesn't fit into that kind of common sense, but that's the same with other races.

And Dwarf simply has slow feet and can't jump. It's sturdy so you can jump even at the height there, but you can't jump on it.

And most importantly, both races have different leg lengths, which makes them quite difficult in stairs and ladders made on the scale of humans and beasts.

"The assignment to such a place is a selection of people who can move. Don't worry about it."

"I can move..."

"The point is, they're the ones who can jump on their own if they're that high. Dwarves don't have many, but they do."

"Seriously."

Rock walls of fortifications like looking up. If I fell, I'd be hurt. It's definitely high.

Do you jump to such heights with Dwarf's short legs?

No, Mr. Deane isn't that tall either, but he jumps a few dozen meters over... but Dwarf, hey.

"Even though it's hard to jump on the height of a carriage for Dwarf soldiers in our troops"

"Special Agent Deane had a dwarf, too? I don't remember seeing you."

"Oh, no, before that, I was under the command of Mr. Deane during the Crossbow squad."

I can't get rid of the habit of sticking around and calling the Crossbow squad "our troops". But there are no more seats for me to go home to.

Are the Great Knights of Lister experimenting with Catalina?

The Lenfangus Army doesn't do much of the kind of maneuvering that ordinary armies do. Essentially, the only way to fight it is to take a warp and win the push, holding the stronghold at Gauntlet Nights so as not to kill that momentum and fighting to make it up to you.

Neither a general nor a soldier can make a fine difference. Even with elaborate maneuvers and formations, order cannot be maintained in the U.N. crowd, which is fishing with gold for the power brags one step ahead of the rogue.

But if Sir Buster's communications magic works, there's no hand in not using it as an operational action.

I don't need a messenger or a disturbing signal to get there or not.

It strikes from behind before the hurtful demon breathes back. That alone will boost battle efficiency.

The same goes for humans, but no demon can do everything against both front and rear. Pinching is simple, but that's the only way to sharpen the opponent's power a lot.

To make that happen, it seems that the Great Knight of Lister leads his chosen men and has accumulated experience as one of the few "forces capable of maneuvering" in Renfangas.

"When I was in the National License, I didn't brag about anything, such as gestures that just could work as ordered... but when I try manoeuvre tactics in Renfangas like this, how thankful that others will move as expected and follow me... don't make me feel sad. It's worth a lot of men hanging their lives and knitting up, what an army is."

"If you take the time to train, it sounds like you could do it with Renfangas, too. Hey. Every young soldier in the army has not been active for decades."

Short-lived species such as humans are 17 or 18 years old when their bodies can be done in one serving, and until just over 30 years old at best when they can give their full strength. Even if you work hard to use your experience and flesh, which is a legacy of your youth, you're 40 years old at best or there.

I mean, I can only be a "soldier" for 10 short years, or a little over 20 long years.

Then a few years of rigorous training should be a decent force of war on reason.

But.

"There is no such thing as a Renfangas soldier in search of such stability and pride."

"... uh"

Only demons who are mad at the unruly intent to kill are the opponents fighting. That return is only expressed in gold.

No matter how much you fight, it's not eradicated.

A soldier who likes to come to such a battlefield does everything in his power, even on sometimes irrational assignments, to respond with his life to the orders of his superiors and to protect his people... it's hard to be such a "good soldier".

For better or worse, looks and honors follow in the army of a normal country. In Renfangas, struggling as a soldier is not appreciated for anything other than gold.

If you want to fight for me, you can be a bad guy or anyone, if you can keep fighting even if you run... in such a distorted army, it's just a challenge to create a unit with a fine tactical ability.

But without that looseness, we wouldn't have all the heads to just keep supporting this country.

"That's the hard part..."

"It might be quicker to bring every troop from here than to organize a credible enough gesture in this country. But that's a dream story, too."

"Is it difficult"

"Assuming it's the most dangerous country on the continent. I don't want to lend it to anywhere, like as many combat groups as I can."

"The Sword Saint Brigade or something..."

"Wouldn't it be for our convenience that they came?

"... right"

Last year, the Grants Hundreds were active in renfangas under the guise of coincidence, like a declaration of intent to Carlwin and Celesta, if I may say so.

Not for Renfangas, for sure.

It would be something of a nature that cannot be borrowed and used all the time.

"... I'm supposed to be hired, too. Alec influenced me to totally start thinking about things in Renfangas's shoes. I have to go back to my country someday."

The Great Knight of Lister laughs bitterly.

"Was it the Lyx Empire"

"Oh good country...... but I can't say. If you're going to use the wings of a dragon, you might go someday. If that happens, call me. I can show you the town of Teito."

"... I'll rely on you then."

Southern Great Plains Lucs Empire.

A land of beastly subjects rare even on the continent.

I wonder if I'll go sometime.

After we finish watching the fort, we rise again in the "fuck room" with Lyla.

"It wasn't a comfortable place to sleep... but there's something I miss when it comes to people. As for the side that made it somewhat."

Naris says Shinri.

"You want to make another villa like that?

Says Mr. Deane in a voice that can't be serious or a joke.

The Phantom Chibi Lyra also shows up and rides.

'Cause I got bored there. Don't be a jerk to do it again. "

"Yes, no, I mean, where do you make that! You don't make forts out of hobbies!

"I can think of a few places. desert, lapard, or even near polka."

"It's not like I want to make it again! Just that I was more attached than I thought!

Well, both Mr. Deane and Lyla know and are crazy, right? The other gauntlets are smiling.

"Oh no matter how I use it, I don't think it's actually a bad space to be complained about..."

Just think about it, huh?

... maybe. I'm sure.
