Of course, I hid nothing and told her everything.

Fiona had been exploited for many years, so at least she had the right to know all about the plan.

As Nina explained to the best of her knowledge, Fiona grabbed her chest.

“Then we will face Lucrezia, right?”

“I think so.”

“Okay then. I am ready to fight.”

Fiona’s pale green eyes lit up.

“Thank you.”

Fiona shook her head at Nina’s words.

“No, thank you.”

Fiona smiled faintly.

“Really, I think I’ve seen Dame Nina somewhere.”

Nina laughed too.

“Me too.”

“Let’s talk longer next time.”

“Of course.”

Nina told Fiona, who had not yet properly recovered, to rest. After going out of the room, she asked for a servant to guide her to the guest room where Benzel was staying.

She took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

Knock, knock.

“Sir Benzel, may I come in?”

No answer came back but Nina waited without urging. The door opened when Nina counted up to thirty inside her mind.

Their eyes met through the crack in the door, and Nina smiled.

“Hello, Benzel.”

As she smiled, his face contorted and he bowed his head.

“Dame Nina, I-.”

“Oh, come on.”

Nina pushed the door open, and Benzel took a step or two backward. Pushing him in, Nina leaned against the door after she closed it.

The words that Nina wanted to hear and that Adrian had told her, she also threw at Benzel.

“You were scared, right?”

Benzel’s face turned white. He staggered and knelt down on one of his knees. He covered his face with his hands and whispered.

“H-How- I-I.”

Can I say that I was afraid, that I was scared?

Can I say that to you?

There wouldn’t be any excuses to give even if he did have no memories after losing all his human conscience. But, to make things worse, he did remember some bits of it.

It wasn’t perfect, but the memories of how he attacked Nina came to mind in pieces.

When he volunteered to become a test subject in place of the dying knights, the Princess had a betrayed expression on her face. After glaring at him with a terribly distorted face, Princess Vialentel gave permission.

In a voice that sounded like he had committed rebellion against her.

If successful, would this terrible experiment come to an end?

With that in mind, he endured all the torture, and his memory was cut off. No, in the midst of extreme pain, he may have run away somewhere. To a place with the warmth of the warm sun.

Nina’s spirit’s power seeped into his arms, and the seed crystals she gave him melted.

Did he make a mistake?

Did he make the wrong choice?

“Benzel.”

Nina squatted down in front of him and grabbed both of his wrists. Seeing his pale face, Nina smiled faintly.

“I was scared.” (Nina)

His eyes fluttered. The innermost green spot was still there, so it was quite nice to look closely at his eyes.

“I was afraid to have to kill Benzel. I was afraid that would happen.”

Her honest words were kind.

Benzel face was contorted. His eyes trembled, and tears began to pour down.

He cried out loud.

“I, I, Dame Nina. To you-.”

I almost killed a loved one with my own hands. I have committed the unforgivable. And yet, he sobbed even more at the undeserving grace of having Nina understand his heart.

After crying hard, he seemed embarrassed. His eyes and nose were red from crying, and his ears red from embarrassment.

Nina handed her a handkerchief and he hurriedly wiped his face.

“Benzel didn’t mean to attack me, and I don’t think there’s any need to ask forgiveness about it. But…”

Nina made a strange face.

Maybe because it was soon after he cried, his eyes, brighter than before, stared at Nina.

“Maybe the people around me may bully you a little.”

Since this was also an honest statement, Benzel laughed without realizing it. Nina grabbed his arm and lifted him up.

The tall man staggered and stood up.

“Now go get some sleep. You didn’t sleep a wink.”

“But…….”

He hesitated and Nina, squinting her eyes, asked.

“Why? Do you want me to stay by your side until you sleep?”

He jumped up and down wildly waving his hands and said.

“No, it’s not. That’s not-.”

Nina nodded her head.

“I know, your heart is anxious, and there are a lot of things to talk about, but in times like these, you have to take care of the basics. Go to sleep for now.”

“Still…….”

“No.”

As Nina approached him with momentum, Benzel took a step back from her.

“All right. I will sleep-.”

‘Look at this guy, no wonder he had a lot of female fans…’

It was interesting to see the gap between a hardworking and model student who looked nothing like one.

Nina watched as Benzel moved closer to the bedside, as he sat down, he asked.

“Aren’t you going?”

“Huh-.”

Come to think of it, it isn’t polite to watch someone lie in bed, right?

“I’m afraid you’ll get up again if I go out.”

At Nina’s words, Benzel shook his head.

“No, I’ll sleep.”

Nina nodded at his resolute words and threatened, “I’ll check it out later.”

It was not until after she left that Benzel flopped on the bed. The bed was surprisingly plush, soft, and alluring.

His mind went blank. He had to think, but his head didn’t work well.

‘Properly…….’

He had to take off his clothes properly and lay down, but before he could finish thinking about it, he fell asleep.

“That fool fell straight into the dead-end alley! Do you even know how small it was? It was so narrow that I could barely turn around.”

Raja was excitedly gesticulating and talking to his colleagues.

He was even given a special reward for making a big contribution in catching Baron Verdin, so his words were relentless.

The little garden in the townhouse was packed full of knights listening to his boasting. Kell, who had been watching it from afar, leaned over his body and whispered to Charlotte.

“Why are you not saying anything?”

“What?”

“About Raja.”

Charlotte lifted her head from the war tactics book she was reading and chuckled when she saw Raja talking with excitement.

“Why? It’s true anyway. It’s Raja and Kell’s official catch. Isn’t Kell going to brag?”

“Not really.”

Unless it was necessary, being in the spotlight wasn’t something he enjoyed very much. He looked down at the tactics Charlotte was reading.

She twisted her body slightly as if uncomfortable and Kell sensitively and quickly retreated.

“Would you like to borrow the book?”

Charlotte asked.

To that question, Kell was deeply moved. In the past, Charlotte would have gotten up and left. Knowing that they were definitely closer now, he smiled.

“No, it’s okay.”

“It would be good to learn about this, too.”

“Well, I have Charlotte.”

Charlotte’s mint-colored eyes blinked. It was never a good sign.

‘Argh, I made a mistake.’

As Kell looked back at me, Raja approached.

“What are you talking about?”

“Are you done bragging?”

Kell sighed, and Raja responded with a brazen face.

“What do you mean bragging? I’m just telling the truth.”

“Or course.”

“Of course, it’s not over yet, I’ve only done the first verse.”

Raja was his usual talkative self whenever he was around Kell, then he turned his gaze to the tactics book Charlotte was looking at.

“You are always amazing. We’re on a reward vacation, and you are still studying?”

“That way, Raja will have something else to brag about.”

Saying so, Charlotte closed her tactics book. She probably couldn’t keep reading.

She said as she pushed the book to Kell.

“Read it.”

“Huh? I am-.”

“If you listen to orders and don’t understand the whole thing, you are a useless idiot.”

“….Yep.”

Kell took the book and Raja looked at Charlotte’s countenance, thinking, ‘Oh, I think I messed up…’.

What if she tells him to study too?

“What? Are you all studying?”

At that moment, when she heard a cheerful voice, Charlotte’s face brightened.

“Leader!”
