"Boss, the supermarket was taken by those damned midgets! They even ambushed my little brother and his group, if it wasn't for these three saviors, they would have all died. What should we do?" spoke the man rapidly, waiting for the man to answer
The boss was almost 2 meters with bulging muscles, a chiseled face and thick eyebrows. Holding the sword, he perfectly fitted the bill of a leader, making Wang Tao nod his head in agreement. At least it's not a small fat guy screaming 'i'm the president' playing the leader, which made him sigh a breathe of relief. Perhaps he has read too many novels before, where arrogant presidents and ministers controlled groups of humans with sweet words during an apocalypse..
The man furrowed his brows as he was in deep thoughts. The supermarket was the key piece of ensuring people with food and water, without it, the food they had won't even last longer than 3 days!
"Thank you very much for your help. My name is Huang Fu, a level 13 Swordmaster." Introduced the man, as he extended his hand towards Wang Tao and old man Zhang, giving each of them a handshake
"Wang Tao, level 2, Beast Tamer. This is old man Zhang and Ying Yue, level 5 and level 3 respectively, no class. And that's Fire, my tamed Beast and companion, level 3." answered Wang Tao truthfully seeing the man introduce himself
Hearing the words Beast Tamer, the man lifted an eyebrow as he looked at Wang Tao. That's a unique class he hasn't seen yet, it appearing on the hands of a 17 years old young man surprised him, but his level was too low. However, he understood.
Leveling a unique class was three times harder than by having no class and the benefits one received from it were incredible. With each level, their gained points were three times more than the usual person without a class.
To reach level 12, he relied on brute strenght and to kill non-stop. His hands were washed in the blood of hundreds of beasts, so it wouldn't be wrong to say that he was the strongest in the city.
"Your level is a little bit low, but you'll have plenty of time to develop in the near future, perhaps, it wouldn't be wrong to say sooner than ever" said the man with a grin as a bloody aura rose around him
Turning around, he looked at the man that brought them here before he continued "Go and ask anyone that is over level 3 to gather."
The man nodded and immediately rushed out.
Huang Fu looked at them before softly saying "We will every extra hand that we can rely on, will you help us? We're going to clean all these damned monsters tomorrow. Time to finish this damnable mission by the system and let everyone get a Class. This will boost our powers. I really want to meet those damnable Dimensional Merchants and see what they're up to."
Wang Tao and the others nodded. Since they're already here, they could lend a hand to help them. If the situation turns for the worst, they could just retreat and find another way.
"They're all ready." with hurried steps, the man came back as he spoke to the leader
"Let's go."
The group quickly followed behind Huang Lu, as they looked at the people that were gathered. There were all types of people, kids, women, elderly and strong men, all of them excluding a feeling of valiance and bravery.
Wang Tao and his group were shocked. He didn't expect so many people to have reached level 3, some of them might be level 4-5 or even level 8-9! There were about four hundred people gathered, what made them even more surprised were the young kids who's petite figures stood beside the men, not losing to their aura even in the slightest!
"The supermarket was taken by the midgets." this first sentence made many people from behind burst in a clamor, as some of the more frail women and elderly even started crying, desperation evident on their faces
"Silence!" said the man who was sparring with the Boss earlier. His loud voice immediately stopped the people's clamor as they quieted immediately
"The reason why i gathered you here right now was because tomorrow, we are going..." Huang Lu waited for his words to attract the crowds attention before he continued, a bloodthirsty aura radiating from him as he said in a loud voice "to kill!"
"Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill all those damned beasts!"
"My father, my mom and my little brother died because of them! They have to die!" screamed a young girl with a well developed body that looked around 18 years old
"My wife! They killed my wife!" another man screamed as tears fell down from his eyes as they turned red, pure hatred evident in his eyes
"My mom, my dad, my grandpa!! my son!! my daughter....my.."
The crowd burst into a frenzy as loud echoes could be heard as deep hatred permeated every corner of the underground ruins.
Everyone lost someone important to them after the gates fell, the ones who survived were the strongest, yet luckiest of all of them. It was like nature's selection. Only the strong can survive while the weak becomes food for the strong!
"Good, very good, tomorrow, we will dye the city in red with the blood of those beasts and make a sacrifice to all those that were lost!" bellowed Huang Lu loudly, bringing an even bigger clamor from the crowd
"Tonight, my brothers, my sisters, we're gonna feast! Everything depends on tomorrow, no turning back! We will get back what's rightfully ours and reclaim the city! We will get the statues blessing and we'll gain even stronger powers! We will survive, we will rule the world once more, like we did in the past!"
The clamor lasted for a long while before a massive feast was prepared by the people. All types of food were presented on the tables, including junk food, meat and whatever was edible!
Soon, the crowd slowly dispersed in different corners to rest. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day, everyone was doomed to have a long night before they managed to sleep. The fear of dying, the thrill of getting their revenge against those beasts, multitudes of feelings passed through their minds as they soon fell asleep.
Wang Tao and his group were given a little better treatment and they found a place to sleep beside the leader's room. The three of them soon fell asleep, as Fire snuggled closer to Ying Yue, before he rested his head between her twin peaks. A mischevioys smile appeared on his face before he, too fell asleep.
"So soft.." the small telepathic voice was soon heard in Wang Tao's mind as a frown appeared on his sleeping face
