Chapter 47: Lin Lang vs Grandma Wolf (2)

Lin Lang was reading all the comments on the Internet and staring at the backstabbing emojis of her netizens had created. The more she saw, the more she felt she was about to explode.
“Lin Lang, are you there? It’s me.”

There was no one else in the dormitory. All the girls were currently hiding from Lin Lang and nobody wanted to stay in the same room as her anymore. But Lin Lang didn’t bother or care about them; she was sitting alone thinking of what to do next when Jiang Ruowei came to see her.
Was she here to make fun of her?
Was she here to ask if Lin Lang had used her?
Or was she here to simply complain because Lin Lang had betrayed her trust?
No matter the reason that brought her here, Lin Lang felt even more annoyed. If Jiang Ruowei hadn’t been easy to manipulate, she would have never bothered to befriend someone so brash.

“Lin Lang, are you okay? Don’t read those comments anymore, I believe you.”
Jiang Ruowei was in a mess. She didn’t think Qiao Dai was lying but her relationship with Lin Lang was very good. She couldn’t believe everything just like that; there must have been some misunderstanding, Lin Lang wasn’t capable of acting like that. Perhaps she had accidentally touched the note before and her perfume had stuck to it. As long as she explained everything, the public opinion would change.

Lies!
Lin Lang was angry. If Jiang Ruowei really believed in her, she would not have come to make a fuss. Wasn’t she here to ask for an explanation and find out if she was really the one who had reported Qiao Dai?
Lin Lang didn’t understand why Jiang Ruowei was even more annoying than usual today. Couldn’t she see she didn’t want to talk to her? Couldn’t she leave her alone?

After a long silence, Jiang Ruowei was finally about to turn around and leave but there was a loud noise. The door was thrown open and slammed against the wall as Lin Lang rushed out.
“I want to be alone! Can you not bother me? Get lost!”
Lin Lang’s appearance was usually kind-hearted and she looked like a completely different person at this moment. She stared at Jiang Ruowei with dissatisfaction and roared in anger: “You just want to know if I did it! No, I didn’t do anything! Why don’t you ask Qiao Dai if she’s a dog instead? Her nose is so sharp, she can smell everything!”

Lin Lang’s gaze swept across Jiang Ruowei’s face. The other girl was looking at her in shock; she seemed to have something to say but was frozen in time.
As Lin Lang kept staring at her, she noticed Jiang Ruowei was holding a phone in her hand. She became immediately alert and asked sharply: “What’s that?”
She quickly snatched the device only to realize it was the live broadcast room and the number of viewers was rapidly soaring.

[Lin Lang looks crazy!]
[Did I hear it right? Did she just call Daidai a dog?]
[… That… She can’t be Lin Lang, right? Is she like that in private?]
[Isn’t Jiang Ruowei Lin Lang’s friend? Even if she is angry, why does she talk to her like that? She also said Qiao Dai was a dog! Oh my god, I’m so shocked.]

The topic “Lin Lang’s fairy character collapsed” had already been widely searched but no one had expected the girl would also have such an angry side. But now that the evidence was in the live broadcast, no one had any doubt anymore and Lin Lang had finished collapsing.

But the most stunned was Jiang Ruowei. She didn’t want to believe the report had anything to do with Lin Lang and she wanted to believe her friend. But as she had watched netizens’ opinion shift on the Internet, she had understood she had to do something before Lin Lang’s image would be entirely ruined. And after she had thought about it, she had decided to open the live broadcast before finding her.

According to Lin Lang’s kind and somewhat weak character, Jiang Ruowei had thought she would be crying after being misunderstood. As long as she recorded this moment, she believed people would see Lin Lang was innocent.
In order to prevent people from saying this was all an act, Jiang Ruowei didn’t tell Lin Lang and had come with her phone. She didn’t overthink her decision; in her eyes, Lin Lang was innocent and it didn’t matter whether she told her she was filming or not.
Unfortunately, her little scheme had done something irreversible and finished destroying Lin Lang’s image.

Lin Lang had never expected she would be her own downfall. The backlash of public opinion was terrible and as soon as people discovered Lin Lang’s true personality, they couldn’t help but start to wonder whether the other incident that had occurred in COCO in the past was also all an act. After all, she had been the only one to gain anything at that time while Shi Qing’s career had been destroyed.

[Are some people trying to take the opportunity to whitewash themselves?]
[Lin Lang was just a victim in the first place, don’t make things up!]
[Lang Lang forgave Shi Qing so warmly, I don’t believe she was pretending! She’s wronged this time and couldn’t say anything! You all forced her to be like this!]

But as Lin Lang’s fans tried to help her, a popular entertainment blog spoke about COCO’s incident: the reason for Shi Qing’s bad performance had been because she had been sick. Lin Lang had been informed in advance but had encouraged Shi Qing to perform anyway. Once the performance had been over, Lin Lang had kept quiet and Shi Qing had been forced to stay silent too.
Along with the article, the blogger also released Shi Qing’s medical records and the doctor had testified a girl looking very similar to Lin Lang had accompanied her to the hospital.

When this news was shared, Netizens were shocked. Shi Qing, the girl they had scolded for so long, was actually the one wronged?
People went back in time and looked through all the news related to this incident, only to find out Shi Qing had indeed been unwell at the time. Unfortunately, everybody had already decided on her culpability and nobody had paid any attention.

In addition to the medical records, there was also the fact that the girl who had gone to the hospital with Shi Qing looked like Lin Lang. They went to Shi Qing’s Weibo and found another evidence: Shi Qing had indeed been betrayed by her friend and scolded on the Internet. Every single post of hers was so real people started to feel distressed the more they read.
And such a betrayal had been swept under the rug for nearly two years.
Two years… Who would post for two years about this matter just to be exonerated?
If nothing had happened this time, who would have gone to read a depressed girl’s Weibo?
But today, the two years of scandals that had followed Shi Qing were finally thoroughly cleaned!
