Chapter 62: Important someone (3)

There was a knock on the door and Cheng Su asked Qiao Dai to wait for a moment. His voice dimmed as he covered the phone with his hand and talked to his employee.

After a little while, Cheng Su spoke to the receiver again and said: “I will come to you.”

Cheng Su sent Qiao Dai an address close to the dormitory and after she walked to the correct place, she noticed a familiar car that seemed to have been waiting for a while now. The car drove to her and stopped steadily in front of her, and Cheng Su who was sitting in the driver’s seat raised his chin and motioned to Qiao Dai to get into the vehicle quickly.

Qiao Dai opened the door and sat in obediently. As soon as she fastened her seatbelt, Cheng Su started to drive.

The scenery outside the window slowly receded and the car made its way smoothly on the road. Qiao Dai was about to ask the man where they were going when Cheng Su asked: “What happened today?”

When she heard his question, Qiao Dai turned around to answer but Cheng Su stopped her: “I’m driving, don’t stare at me.”

“Oh, okay.”

Qiao Dai sat up straight instinctively and closed her eyes before she told Cheng Su about today’s events.

“It seems that your Teacher Jiang had some abilities.”

Cheng Su didn’t know what to think after listening to Qiao Dai’s story and his pitch became slightly higher.

“Of course. Unfortunately, Teacher Jiang had to teach the others too or I would have asked him more questions.”

Qiao Dai nodded and whispered regretfully. She was wondering when she would go learn more from Jiang Fengchi and Cheng Su clicked his tongue softly in the driver’s seat.

The bright sunlight reflected in his eyes and he glanced at the girl beside him for a second before saying: “I can teach you too.”

Could Cheng Su sing?

Qiao Dai was stunned for a moment and instinctively turned her head before Cheng Su rudely urged her to look at the road again.

“Can you sing?”

“We’re here.”

The destination was a beautiful park and because it was a weekday afternoon, there were not many people there. The scenery was quiet and peaceful.

Qiao Dai followed Cheng Su and walked into the park. In the center, there was an open-air theater built in the ancient Rome style. On the stage, actors would perform in front of a widely spread audience.

Cheng Su walked down the white stairs and reached the stage. He raised his head and walked towards Qiao Dai’s figure, who was still standing in the audience above.

At that moment, Qiao Dai was his only audience.

Cheng Su’s voice rose in the open theater. Unlike his usual irritable and grumpy voice, he now had a unique magnetism that made Qiao Dai hold her breath.

“You sing very well.”

When Cheng Su finished his song, Qiao Dai couldn’t help but applaud. She jumped down the stairs in a few steps and quickly ran to him, her eyes shining with admiration.

“You sing better than anyone I’ve ever heard!”

She then added very seriously: “If you come to our show, you will definitely become popular.”

Cheng Su raised his eyebrows when he heard her and said: “No need.”

He didn’t have to become popular or to become a star. He didn’t need to sing for people he did not care about. He just wanted to sing for Qiao Dai.

She really was his only audience.

It was Qiao Dai’s turn to sing.

She slowly walked to the middle of the stage and took a nervous breath. Despite Jiang Fengchi’s teaching and Cheng Su’s presence, she lacked confidence. But as soon as she raised her head, her eyes collided with Cheng Su sitting where she had been just a few minutes earlier.

Against the white background, he was so conspicuous. The warm rays of the sun enveloped him and he suddenly whispered: “If I were the male protagonist of your song, how would you kill me?”

TL note: Hello, everyone. I apologize for the absence, this has been a stressful and weird couple of weeks. Thank you for ever being so patient with me and my messy life QAQ

TL second note: LSOBP will be the only story getting updated for a little while. I really don’t have time to translate and am not in the mood when I do. With everything going on at once, I feel like my brain is melting and I don’t want to commit to a schedule when we all know I am terrible at following it. This kinda sucks for people who like the other stories more, but LSOBP will get more updates every week for a little bit! Thank you thank you~ I just like… really don’t want to work hard right now.

TL third note: If any translator is interested in translating a few chapters of the other projects or taking them over entirely, please contact me beforehand. That’s not the goal but I don’t own these stories either.

Please report us if you find any errors so we can fix it asap!
