Rachel was driving the car when they received a call on their private number that was only known by their teammates but this was an unknown number, they thought it must be someone related to the kidnapping so they quickly answered as the voice from the other side came "Am I speaking to the detectives under David."
Rachel immediately muted the call and said in shock "Why does that sound like Dad?"
Kevin held her hand "Relax, let's first talk to him." he invited the call and spoke "Yes, who is this."
"I am the head of all the detective groups, Charles and I hope you have figured that the David you are working with now is an imposter."
Rachel exchanged a tense look with Kevin and mouthed 'Dad'. Kevin relaxed her and continued "How do we believe you, I mean how do we know that you are not an imposter?"
"Good, that is what is expected of a good undercover, never to trust anyone. Now you can trust me because I will tell you something that only David and both of you knew which was reported to me, he is a doctor and has a secret room behind the books to hide and no one will ever know that because it's just a wall. I built that by the way. Now do you trust me because no one else knows about this."
Kevin then said "Yes Sir, Sir this is Rachel and Kevin reporting from this side." then he told him everything about their plan.
Charles then said "I will meet you there and help you with this case because this is not just the matter of your team anymore, something massive is being planned against our country."
Rachel was so scared to speak that Kevin said "Yes Sir." and then the call was cut.
Rachel took a breath "It was dad, what are we going to do now, he will never let me do anything dangerous."
Charles frowned as he sat in his private jet thinking 'Rachel and Kevin, it can not be a coincidence, it it is my daughter how can I allow her to do something so dangerous, she could risk her life and that Kevin is not as useless as I thought then.' He then decided to focus on the case more and figure this out later when he was actually there and when he had met them.
Kevin and Rachel reached the Hotel and checked into the already booked room, they then freshened up and called the private number, Kevin spoke "Sir we are here, when are we supposed to meet."
"I will reach within an hour, you can take some rest because when I reach and settle down, you won't have any time to rest as we have a lot to do."
Kevin said "Yes Sir, we will be ready." and the call was cut.
He came back to Rachel who was panicking and moving around the room, he smiled and held her from behind, kissed her neck "Darling, you need to relax, you are not even sure he is your Dad and even if he is, he will not eat you up, he loves you."
Rachel relaxed even with his touch, she smiled and asked "What did he say?"
"He will reach in an hour and then do some of his work. Do you want to take a nap until then."
Rachel nodded and then put on some comfortable clothes before hopping into Kevin's arms to sleep.
