I bought a six-piece futon set. It includes a mattress, mattress cover, pillow, comforter, comforter cover, and a pillowcase.
It’s cheap, so it won’t give you the feeling of being wrapped up in a cloud, but it should be enough for the time being.
After returning home together, we ate some frozen pasta for dinner, and then Shiori went ahead and took a bath.
It’s a bit of a shame that we didn’t have the same kind of super-duper-unbelievably-lucky-scenario today as we did yesterday, but that’s how it is normally.
Anyways, immediately after her I took a bath and got myself ready for bed.
I pulled the center table in front of the sofa in the living room towards the edge, and laid the futon on top of it to complete the bed.
“What will you be doing, Shiori?”
I lent her my loungewear again today, and the clothes that I usually wore seemed to be much more vibrant when Shiori’s the one wearing them.
Yeah. I knew that I would be excited to see a beautiful girl wearing my loungewear.
“What do you mean?”
She tilted her head at my subject-less question.
“If that’s the case, why don’t you go and sleep in the bed?”
“I can’t do that. This is Kojiro’s house, so Kojiro has to be the one there.”
“Oh, really?”
“Really.”
I was going to give her the bed since she was a girl, but she said no and I didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable, so I said, “That’s fine then.”
“Are you going to sleep now?”
Shiori asked me, so I looked at my watch.
The short hand was still between ten and eleven, so it can be said that it is a delicate time.
“What about Shiori?”
“It’s a little early to be going to bed, so I’ll stay up for a while.”
“I have a lot to speak with you, is that okay?”
Shiori nodded her head and so we moved to the dining room.
When we sat down facing each other, Shiori asked, “What do you want to talk about?”
“Ah-. It’s more like a confirmation, or a decision…”
“You mean, besides not talking about me being your fiancee at school?”
“Something like that. First of all, about the spare key, you see the key hook at the entrance? Take one from there. Make sure you don’t lose it.”
“Okay.”
Shiori nodded and answered.
“I’m sorry, this is my fault… I even told you not to tell anyone about us, but Touma found out immediately after…”
When I bowed my head down to her, she didn’t seem to be angry at me. It seemed like there was no damage dealt to her after all.
“Touma–Rikudo-kun?”
“That’s right. The fact that I and Shiori call each other by our first name was considered unnatural and thus I was questioned about it… So he found out that you were my fiancee. However, he doesn’t know that you are currently staying with me.”
“I don’t really care either way.”
“You may be fine with it, but I don’t want people to know about it because it will turn my peaceful student life into chaos.”
Shiori then began muttering something slowly “Annoying screaming…” (TL: I think it means Shiori is imagining what happen if that will happen)
“That’s tough.”
“You see? I don’t want anyone to find out any more than they already have, so let’s be careful now.”
“I don’t see how I’d be exposed.”
I tried to tease her about her boastful statement, but she quickly added a few more words.
“Because no one would bother to talk to me.”
“–Is that self-deprecation I hear? Is it okay for me to tease you about it?”
“No, I don’t mind if you do.”
“I won’t…”
“Okay.”
She’s a hard person to tease, so I switch to the next topic.
“Also, I was called by Minami-sensei and was asked, is Shiori supposed to be living alone?”
“That’s how it’s set up.”
“That’s the setting huh… So is that how it’s going to be from now on?”
“That’s the plan. But there’s no problem on my side. I have no one to talk to about this after all.”
“O-oh…”
It’s a little uncomfortable to be told something that’s hard to reply to again.
“–Ah, and… You came to my house in your uniform. So you don’t have any clothes or anything, right?”
“I’m sorry. I was pretty busy so I sent everything overseas by mistake.”
“Overseas… Even if your mother and father found out and sent it back by international mail, it would still take a long time. So why don’t we go buy some for you on Saturday or Sunday?”
I felt like she was giving off a happy vibe after I asked her out.
“Are you sure?”
“You might have a lot of luggage, right? I’ll take care of the luggage then. As long as it’s alright with you, it’s fine.”
After I said that, Shiori paused for a moment and asked me,
“Is there? Kojiro?”
“Hmm?”
I tilted my head at her subject-less words.
“Is there anyone you like, Kojiro?”
“No.”
It’s the same question I asked her yesterday, I answered immediately.
“Why’d you ask that?”
“Because I heard that the type of girl Kojiro likes is someone『who spoils him and has short hair with big t**s』”

I blurted it out.
“Did you hear our conversation…?”

I hold my face in my hands and writhe in agony

“And if Kojiro has a crush on someone, I’m sorry that I’m here.”
“Surely. It would be chaos if I had a girlfriend or something.”

Fua~a… I stood up as a sigh came out of my mouth.
“–Well, that’s that. I’m going to bed now.”
I said as I stood up. Shiori said “good night” to me, so I replied “good night” back to her.
I can sleep alone today without any hesitation this time, but I’m a little sad that I can’t feel the warmth of Shiori on me.
