"I was just being a gentleman. I know if Elou was here, he would rush to her too. Haha." I think he really would but I won't let him.
"Right, of course!" Akko just laughed but the girls looked at me like I did something bad. They haven't said a single word after that but I can feel it.
"Woot Wooot! The semi-final is almost here and there will be two matches. We will take a break for an hour and be back on time or you will miss the best last matches!" Aika announced. A one hour break, I don't know what to do... maybe visit Emily's inn again as usual
"Hey Scy, you're thinking of going to Emily's inn, right?" Wow did Akko used some kind of mind reading or I'm that just easy to read?
"Yeah, but I'm not sure because it's a long walk. What do you think?"
"Oh don't worry about that, I added her as a friend and she whispered me that she already packed our food and she's on her way here," Wow, Akko's pretty convenient than Elou.
After a while, Emily arrived and brought us some delicious NLO delicacies. It doesn't look that great but the taste is really good. My Sis should learn from her and not from Azzie.
"Thanks, Emily. You saved us from our undying hunger. Haha!" I said happily after my tummy can't eat anymore.
"It's nothing to worry about. I'm glad that you guys are having fun. I'm sorry for the girls and Elou but you all still are really great!" We're happy that we have her here. Well, I guess we are really doing great. I need to win this!
"Thank you, Emily. I know asking a favor from you earlier is a bit too much. Anyway, Scy really needed the stats boosts for his fight later so your cooking is really a big help for us."
After all that eating and chitchat with Emily, the semi-final is about to start. People are all here and cheering for the remaining participants and you can feel the heat and intensity of the people. It's more and more suffocating because of the stares and pressure from them. I'm so excited!
"Aheeem Aheeeem... Magic Speaker Test... Aheem Aheeem" It's the old geezers turn to start the semi-final with a speech or something.
"All the participants really did great on their fights and of course some of them won and some of them lost. It is part of the competition and what did matter is, you tried your best. All the effort, pain, sweat and emotions you sacrifice for the past few days or even months will be remembered from this tournament! Godspeed for all of you and have fun!" Old geezer ended his speech and it seems to be encouraging.

Anyway, the participants for the semi-final are Scythus, the Dark Flame and Lightning Master, Zeth, the Combo Warrior Master, Maisie, the Formidable Silent Swordsman and Aurora, The Master of Time and Strongest Player of New Life Online!" That's a good introduction for me. I feel like I am getting the love I deserve.
(The reason why Scythus is getting a lot of negative reaction from people is because his Charisma Stat is almost zero and it is making people or monsters change their attitude or perspective towards him. Reaching negative Charisma will make the game send a signal to the brain when you meet him and say "This guy is bad/ugly." So improving a lot of charisma will not only make you popular but also good looking. Why can't Elou get a girl, even with his good-looking face in real life, in-game? How about Shiv? Now you know the answer. )
"We will now begin the first match! The participants are Scythus and Zeth!" She skipped the introduction because she already did earlier. It's now my turn for revenge from our last fight and also from Sieg.
I entered the arena fully prepared and buffed from the food Emily brought. I can't let this opportunity go to waste. I have to defeat him or I can't sleep and start grinding like hell to be even stronger. Power is all I need! Zeth also entered the arena with his trusted great sword and normal armor. I can't really understand how he moves so fast with normal equipment.
"Ready, Fight!" Aika signaled the start of the fight.
"RUSH!" Just as always, it's his first gap closer move. Without even saying a word, he rushed towards me like someone eager to kill.
"DARK FLAME!" I cast a fire infused with dark magic towards him. I can't let him get near me.
*BAAAAAAM!* He just ignored and just took it and caught up to me. His defense is good enough to not get knockback by my attack.
"STAGGERING BLOW!" He finally reached me and now will use that hard uppercut slash from below and aiming for my sword to stagger me. But I'm not that dumb to not know how to counter that. Instead of parrying, I'll use some tricks instead.
"ETHEREAL BLADE!" I also slashed him but this time his great sword would just pass right through my sword and hit him instead.
*BAAAAAAAM!* What the heck?! Our swords collided?! That means his sword has magical properties on it. My sword flung after the hit and making me defenseless! That was a hell of a power!
"CYCLONE!" He is now preparing to use another move for his combo! I have to stop it somehow!
*BAAAAAAM!* I turned around and block the attack with my shield behind my cape! Thank God it didn't break but the force knocked me back. Damn that hurt. This guy won't let me catch a break.
"FIRE BOOSTER!" I used my fire booster to make me stop from getting too far and to stabilize my posture. I turned around looking for him! Damn! I forgot that his last move was an overhead strike! I looked up in the sky and found him launching his powerful finisher move!
"OVERHEAD SLASH!" His greatsword is thirsty for blood and aiming for my head! He's going to cut me in half!
