Ye Mu was depressed as she replied with a half-hearted ‘mhm’. She wiggled around a little before Mo Linyuan tightened his arms around her.
He was a little vexed as he said, “Don’t move around because it’ll make things difficult for me.”

Mo Linyuan stretched out his hand and rubbed Ye Mu’s belly, “If you move around again, I will make sure you’ll be pregnant with a little Ye Mu tonight.”

With that said, Mo Linyuan also closed his eyes and hugged her to sleep. He originally thought that it would be difficult for him to fall asleep, but just like Ye Mu, he fell into a deep slumber after a short moment. It seemed like he had never slept so soundly before.
In the middle of the night, Ye Mu was awakened by a loud fighting sound!
The sound was not very far from where she was currently sleeping. Instead, it actually seemed to be coming from the palace where she usually resided. She quickly got up to check it out, but she was immediately pushed down onto the bed again by Mo Linyuan.
“What happened?”
“There is a fight outside,” Ye Mu said with a frown.
Mo Linyuan listened to the sound for a while before he smiled and said gently, “It’ll be okay, you don’t need to head over.”
Ye Mu hesitated a little and asked, “Is it really okay not to check it out?”
Mo Linyuan turned over and pushed her underneath him when he heard this.
“Does that mean that you can’t fall asleep anytime soon?”

Their ambiguous position made Ye Mu tensed. She stared at him with wide eyes as her hands were pressed to her sides by Mo Linyuan. This position was already very embarrassing, but it was much more embarrassing for her because they were both in bed!
“A-are you really not going to check it out? What if they manage to come all the way here?”
Mo Linyuan was amused as he watched her struggle to change the topic of their conversation. He said wickedly, “Don’t worry, if someone comes, then I will protect. Even if I’m unable to protect you. They’ll have to step over my dead body to hurt you.”
Ye Mu glared at him, “I dislike you! Y-you get down from me! I won’t head out and check out the fighting, so get off of me! You’re really heavy!”
“Am I that heavy?” Mo Linyuan lowered his head and rubbed her face with the tip of his nose. “What should I do? I really want to stick to you like glue?”
Ye Mu was speechless at how shameless he was, so she pushed him hard and sat up, “Then I can only use force to solve this problem!”
She looked very serious, but Mo Linyuan burst out laughing. He was overjoyed even though he was pushed away by her.
After he stopped laughing, he also sat up and suddenly grabbed both of Ye Mu’s hands. His eyes seemed to be sparkling in the darkness.
“I admit that you are definitely stronger than me since you have hundreds of years of inner strength stored inside of you, but are you willing to hurt me?”

“I’m certain that I will not hurt you.”
