For a thousand years he had been in the sword, so the devil was a little too clumsy.

The devil, who had the magic restraints all over his body, bit his lips as if he had expected it to disappear.

‘I’m famous for being an incompetent person with no abilities and mana, and even being cursed by a dragon.’

I smiled as kindly as I could.

“I won’t destroy you.”

A short cough made me turn my head.

“…But until when can this devil be here?”

“At most, he can stay for another half hour. There’s a good chance he won’t be able to come back.”

Dammit…

“How come? If you sealed him in the sword, I thought you let him out freely.”

“I only know how to seal the devil… you need a separate summoning skill. Mana seems to be needed as well, I don’t know how to do it exactly.”

My God. Dominique didn’t know anything.

‘I thought we had an unlimited ice supply, but it’s a thirty-minute limited edition.’

I gave a long sigh and dug through the information I had. There was no description of the devil Dominique sealed in the original book.

“Then, who’s inside that sword?”

“Winter moon, Autumn mountain, summer star, spring flower, so there are four devils living in there.”

The devil names were romantic. Were they nicknames?

I nodded and gave him a wink.

“Then shall we try to make slushies for thirty minutes now?”

“Eeek! I’m the weakest among them! Don’t be conceited because you’re going to use slushy magic to destroy the weakened me, human. The rest of the devils are more powerful, so they will avenge me!”

I smiled kindly at the fiery winter moon devil.

“No, I’m not ordering an extinguish.”

There were four powerful slaves in that sword, so why would I destroy them?

But what mattered right now was this winter moon devil in front of me.

The devil, who caught my eye, shuddered and spoke.

“D-Dominique, l-look at this human’s eyes!”

I smiled kindly, covering my sparkling eyes.

“What’s wrong with my eyes?”

“They’re a madman’s!”

***

Some time later.

On the first floor of the old stationary store that had not yet been remodeled, three filled large glass containers were placed on one wall.

The inside of the large glass canister summoned by the devil was exhaling a cool energy like a refrigerator.

And there was crushed ice being poured down into them infinitely without a crackling sound.

Dominique poured grapes, oranges, pineapples, and sugar that had been brought in a rush from somewhere on top of the ice.

And they were mixing together, creating grape, orange and pineapple flavored slushies.

In front of the glass case, the devil, bound with a restraint, exhaled a long sigh and twisted his body.

But it was something I wouldn’t be able to have forever.

“Please, let’s just rest for a minute, human!”

All the glasses were more than two-thirds full of slush.

But I didn’t know when we would meet again, so we had to make as much as possible.

I spoke, touching the devil’s body with glistening eyes.

“Quickly make more ice, Winter Mountain Devil. We have to make a lot of slushies.”

“It’s Winter Moon Devil! A-anyway, if I regain my powers, I’ll kill you for making me do this-.”

Crash!

Dominique picked up an iron plate next to him and hit the devil’s arm painlessly.

“You’re too loud, do it quickly.”

“No, but he’s still a little kid-.”

“Only his looks are a little kid’s, that monster is over a thousand years old.”

The devil gnawed and began to make ice again.

“Did I finish?”

“Not yet.”

“I want to go back into the sword…”

The devil’s face was all squashed.

I spoke to coldly.

“No. You still haven’t made enough slushies. You can’t go yet. Work more!”

The Winter Moon Devil shouted with a sullen face.

“You, you devil-like human! The great Magistrate, Satan, would erase a human like you very much!”

…Was that a curse, or a compliment?

The devil was crying and eating mustard, making ice in his hand, crushing it and putting it into the glass containers.

Slushies made of ice that will never melt almost filled the containers all the way.

“Do you want to try them?”

Dominique gave me the grapes that he had obtained in a crustal cup.

“Yeah!”

I added the ice into my cup and took a sip of the grape slushy. The sour, cool and sweet taste was the same as the slushy I used to eat.

“It’s an ice that never melts, but it’s made to melt if it goes into the human body according to your order! So let me go now!”

“Not yet.”

I shook my head, looking contentedly at the winter moon devil.

This taste was a combination I quite liked.

“I can’t believe I already have slushies.”

We hadn’t even remodeled the building yet. But already!

‘The feeling is good.’

I laughed happily and tapped the devil’s shoulder.

“The taste is perfect.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, but your arms are playing, Winter Moon Devil.”

“…Even in our demonic circles, we don’t do this kind of high-intensity labor… One minute of work, ten minutes of rest is the rule!”

Looking at the Winter Moon Devil constantly making and grinding the ice, I passed over the glass.

“Okay, I’ll give you an award. Try what you made.”

The devil snorted and shook his head.

“Hng! I don’t eat human food. I want nectar, something like this.”

I brought the glass to his chin.

“I’m curious how devils like it though.”

“Sigh, bothersome hum….”

The Winter Moon Devil’s eyes, who grudgingly took a sip of the slushy, opened wide.

“Huk, w-what is this?”

He drank a series of slushies, opened his eyes wide and looked around.

“Am I brainwashed?”

“Why, does it taste bad.”

The Winter Moon Devil shook its head with great rapidity. His black hair fluttered wildly over the forehead.

“Thiiiiiiiiis, it’s a revolution!”

I nodded my head.

For now, it seemed to be a taste that worked for the devil children of this world.

“Give me more!”

“Have more.”

The Winter Moon Devil nodded and gulped down the drink in his hand.

‘It is a waste it’s limited edition…’

I looked at the devil with a look of admiration.

“What a great talent. It’s so great to the point where I want to make you work everyday.”

“I won’t work everyday!”

The devil, who had a crystal glass in his hand, took another sip of the slushy and grew rabbit eyes.

“But human, it’s so delicious-.”

Then he disappeared into the sword.

‘Shit, I didn’t think he would disappear with those rabbit eyes.’

I inflated my cheeks and looked at Dominique.

“Has it been half an hour?”

“Yeah.”

Dominique said 30 minutes seemed to be the limit.

I looked at the slushy barrel and talked to myself quietly.

“How to get a devil, is there one anywhere…”

Next time we meet again, I’ll never let you go, Winter Moon Devil.

I smiled inwardly, looking at the full slushy container.

***

Drinking sweet grape slushy made by the devil’s hard labor, I reviewed my work plan again.

“Thanks to the devil, I got slushies.”

I laughed contentedly.

I can’t believe it’s going so smoothly.

“I think we can give out a glass of slushy for free to the visitors.”

“Yeah. I’ve never had a drink like this before. I think it’s going to be imprinted on people.”

Dominque drank the cup of slushy in his hand.

“A devil liked it, but would a human child like it?”

“I wonder.”

“Can we test whether they will like it or not?”

“But meeting the Academy children ahead of time…”

“You have an Academy student, above us.”

Dominque cast his eyes over the stairs.

‘Thinking about it, there was a cute little guy up there.’

A child with a broken leg who was asleep.

Dominique and I went up to the second floor together. And there, played a little child who was sleeping.

“Mr. Knight, do you want to try this?”

He rose up, rubbed his eyes, rubbed his sore legs and nodded his head.

“Eung, give it here!”

I passed over the crustal cup over to the child’s hand.

The child opened his eyes a little, raised the glass up and started to gulp down the slushy.

The boy, who took a gulp, looked at me with his mouth off from the glass. The twinkling eyes stared straight at me.

“How is it?”

“Euuuu…”

“Yeah?”

“It’s cold…”

“You need to chew it well.”

After the child nodded vigorously, he wiggled his body and opened his eyes wide again.

“Huh?”

The boy’s eyes began to glow. I don’t think Columbus would have been as surprised when he found the new land.

The child opened his mouth, held his breath and spoke with a square mouth.

“It’s, it’s so, so delicious!”

The child was happy to taste the crunchy slushy.

“Eating this, I, I…”

The child opened his eyes wide and bit his slightly blue lips.

“I feel like I’m running and I’m pounding.”

“…maybe because it’s cold?”

Because you said it’s cold earlier, slushies are cold…

“I’m not running because it’s cold!”

The child drank the slushy and put one hand over his cold, tingling lips.

“You, you picked me who’s injured, treated me and gave me this novelty…”

And then he placed the glass on the floor and squeezed my hand.

“I fell in love!”

I burst into laughter at the unexpected cute compliment.
