Jixiang was shocked for a long while. As soon as she realized what Mu Nanzhi just said, she quickly covered her ears saying, “... I heard nothing just now!”

Mu Nanzhi got speechless again.

Obviously, Mu Nanzhi had no excuse to go to the Marquess Mansion now and she even got too mad to have dinner. She went to bed angrily, tossing and turning restlessly. When she eventually fell asleep, she immediately got a nightmare.

In her dream, she was spiritedly chasing boars all around the hill and the horse’s legs were going to be broken for it ran too fast. Mu Nazhi still failed to chase the boars as she fell down on the ground soon. She was so furious that she couldn’t help swearing, clenching her teeth in bitter hatred. Suddenly, she found a boar casually stuck its tail up and walked to her. The moment she caught sight of it, she immediately pounced upon the boar, held its hind legs tightly and refused to release it. The boar was really stupid and gave in soon after struggling for a while. It just lay in front of her silently and just watched her taking out her rope and tied it around its neck.

Meanwhile, another wild boar ran to her. Mu Nanzhi didn’t feel scared but delighted because she simply thought that she could catch two boars at the same time. While she was chuckling, the boar which was tied by her suddenly got crazy and fiercely got rid of the rope and ran to her. Seeing the ferocious boar opened its mouth and glared at her, Mu Nanzhi screamed and tried to go away, protecting her head with her hands. To her surprised, the wild boar uttered, “What a greedy girl you are! As your cousin, I must give you some lessons today!”

Mu Nanzhi abruptly opened her eyes and goggled at the bed canopy over her in great fear. After a long while, she finally calmed herself down. Turning her eyes to the grey window, Mu Nanzhi closed her eyes tiredly but never fell asleep again.

She felt her mind was totally a mass. Thinking of the boar meat that the fourth prince gave her and his attitude towards her in the hunting ground worried her a lot. She buried herself in her quilt, vexed.

She really wanted to see Lu Zhishan. But what could she say in front of him?

“Cousin, I got no wild boar today.”

“Cousin, the fourth prince asked his guard to send me some boar meat.”

Or she should say to him, “Cousin, the fourth prince robbed the gazelle legs, pheasants and hares that I prepared for you.”

Mu Nanzhi cried in her quilt and got more vexed.

...

The late night was covered with silence. But it was not silent in a small house which was far away from the capital city.

The Taoist priest was escorted to the small house with his hands caught. His eyes were blindfolded so he could see nothing but the dim candle light when he stumbled in. He then was kicked by someone on the back of his knee so that he knelt down on the ground. As soon as his knees touched the hard ground, he felt the coldness passing over his body from his knees.

“I heard that you are excellent in divination and you are even better than your master Deng Yanwu.” The man sitting on the top seat wore really delicate dresses. He looked down at the Taoist priest who was trembling in fear. “Just try divining now. Emperor has totally five sons. Which one will come into power in the end?”

The Taoist priest stuttered, “I don’t have a good command of divination. So... so I’m not able to figure it out. Please forgive me, my highness.”

“Well, seemingly it’s not because you are not incompetent but because you haven’t suffered enough,” the man said slowly and beckoned the guard standing by his side.

Crack!

“Ahhhh!” The Taoist priest cried.

As soon as the man finished speaking, the Taoist priest felt the great pain on his legs. He fell down on the ground, trying to touch his legs. But he finally gave up as it hurt terribly. He just kept trembling, frightened.
