[Skill: Malefic Enchantment]

[Grade: Unique (Mid)]

[Description: You can enchant any type of soul as long as your Will, Intelligence, and Charisma is higher. You can tamper with the minds of those you have enchanted. The changes done to a being’s mind, such as adding new or erasing existing memories, shaping personality, etc can be permanent or temporary by your will.]

[Usage Cost: 30 Mana]

After looking through this, Jake tried one last combination, and it worked on the first try. By merging [Phantom Steps] and [Intermediate Scythe Mastery], he got [Phantom Scythe Mastery].

Immediately, the system transferred lots of information to his mind about this new skill. His understanding of a scythe as a weapon improved by leaps and bounds. Now he just had to familiarize with the movements of the Phantom Scythe Mastery and he was as good as a veteran warrior.

Jake knew that his combat potential had increased by a lot after doing all this. He had spent a lot, but about 150 thousand Evil Points still remained.

He increased all his attributes to 400. It took him less than 30,000 points to do that. Jake always kept his stats all-rounded.

He lightly punched before him, and a shock wave ran through the air. He ought to control his strength more now.

That orgy was the most fruitful, and he didn’t know when he would get another such chance. Jake still had more than a hundred thousand points, so he decided to unlock the third sin.

He was curious about what it would be. Jake touched the Sinner’s Roulette and from his status, the system deducted exactly 100,000 Evil Points. The dark disc spun for the third time and stopped ten seconds later.

The notification surprised Jake.

[Ding! Congratulations, you have unlocked the Sin of Pride!]

[You have unlocked your third sin, host. The system has updated the guide with the information relevant to the Sin of Pride.]

He didn’t see the guide this time, though. Jake knew how to act prideful, but he was afraid he might act snobbish instead. As a demon, he was shameless and arrogant.

‘What would be a prideful sin…? Undermining someone more powerful than me?’ Jake thought. That might cost him his own life… but he would get points…

”This is a double-edged sword.” Jake suddenly realized something. ”Some sins complement each other while others contradict!”

Like greed and gluttony, for example. They went hand by hand. But rage and sloth as well as pride and envy, they were contradictory. However, sloth and pride were complementary. Refusing to do anything was being prideful as well as slothful.

Envy and Rage could also be used together. Jake could be envious of someone’s success, and he could get angry because of it. However, he couldn’t envy others and be arrogant at the same time…

Jake looked at the panel and scoffed, “Of course.”

[Sinner’s Roulette (Unavailable, requires 1,000,000 Evil Points to spin again)]

”System, what happens if I unlock all seven sins?”

[Ding! Insufficient authority. The host may ask this question after becoming a Demon Lord.]

Jake dismissed the matter for now. His power had increased by a large margin. Now he just had to advance to the fourth circle.

He clicked on the notification which he got right when his agility reached 400.

[To advance to the 4th Circle and become an Earl, the host has to either be at Hell or kill at least 1,000 inhabitants of this world. The advancement ritual can be fueled with the souls of the dead.]

Jake paused. It appeared the dungeon’s evil mana wouldn’t be sufficient now. He was not expecting such a condition to appear so soon though.

‘It says inhabitants… but killing 1,000 cockroaches wouldn’t be enough, would it?’ Jake turned around and went to his room.

He would have to kill beings with high intelligence. They had the best souls which gave the highest amount of energy. Meaning, he basically had to commit genocide.

On the 15th floor.

”Explosion!”

Jake cast the magic spell, and a large fire boomed in front of him. Irene hurriedly cast her Mana Barrier to shield from the damage. Still, the shock wave pushed away her and the Hell Knight.

Behind him, three 2nd Circle Orc Warriors swung their swords at him. Jake powerfully rotated his Black Reaper and threw them away. Almost immediately, a fireball landed on his right arm.

The goblin shaman laughed and shot more fireballs. Jake used [Minor Regeneration] to heal his wound and pulled that Shaman with Demonic grasp. However, the minotaur caught hold of the goblin and saved it.

”Evil Flame Spear!” Irene cast offensive magic which was boosted by the Unholy Blessings of three priestesses.

It was 3 meters long and looked extremely dangerous. Jake didn’t have any defensive skills and it would be fatal if he got hit by that. He could’ve dodged it.

However, Jake didn’t bulge and instead pushed the minotaur who was trying to keep him occupied.

Jake took that flaming spear head on and it pierced cleanly through his left thigh. Resisting the pain, he immediately used the unique skill of his weapon, [Blood Regeneration].

To everyone’s surprise, the bloody, charred hole in Jake’s thigh began healing at an exponential rate. The flesh, blood, and even the bones regenerated to patch up that hole. Within a minute, Jake’s leg was just like before.

[Flight]

Jake suddenly flew up, dodging his pet Lark’s attack. Today, he had instructed his most powerful servants to team up against him.

He wanted to see how powerful he had actually become. Even though he was fighting two 3rd Circle beings, he wasn’t using his most powerful unique skills.

The more he refused to use his full strength, the more notifications he got.

[Ding! You have committed a prideful sin. You gain 55 Evil Points!]

”Rwaarrrghh!”

At this moment, the Hell Knight activated his [Berserk] skill. The Earth Golems slammed the ground with their palms and pillars of mud rose, aiming to hit Jake who was hovering in the air.

He used Dark Fire and sent a hot shock wave, crumbling the mud pillars. He then shot downwards and immediately used his Phantom Scythe Mastery to confront the Hell Knight.

However, Keirth’s usually closed eye opened at this moment and Jake felt a sense of danger.

The Hell Knight was about to use his unique skill [Eye of Anger] for the first time.
