Duncan put away the sword quickly, making sure that no one was there...

He had a system inventory that could be used to store items, and easily snatched the epic ranked sword from a tight encasement...

Thinking he was in the clear after taking the sword, he turned around to a voice…

"Stop... put that back where you found it!"

"I… was just checking that this glass was still clean!" Duncan lied out of his ass, and noticed it was just two goblins...

Apparently, in this world, Goblins and definitely Hobgoblins were much stronger than zombies, and he really hoped that apple was stolen in the hobgoblins bony hand…

Correct, one goblin was holding an apple, and then they began fighting as Duncan tried to remain inconspicuous leaving behind an empty glass case…

"No… no, this foolish one stole extra dinner rations! He must pay! You must help me kill him for his crime!"

"Can… can we kill him after he eats his apple?" Duncan cracked his knuckles as a level 15 hobgoblin laughed with contempt and stuffed the green apple in his mouth…

It was pissed!

He worked hard all day, and only ate an extra apple!

The zombies didn't even eat apples, and this level 12 pipsqueak dared to break the code of brotherhood!

Regardless, the goblin was level 16, and they began fighting giving him time to run!

[Ding! Host has successfully stolen the Celestial Sword of Death, and is recommended to leave the scene of the crime ASAP!]

[It is also recommended to kill the two goblins before leaving the scene… or else you'll be leaving competent witnesses!]

Duncan had a hard time believing that competent part, but he used summon skeleton… and sure enough Phoenix came out as a zombie!

This was officially a broken skill...

When he used to play video games, you'd always hope you'd receive one of these skills...

Usually, this meant the skills did more than they were supposed to, and when he looked at Phoenix right now... he could tell this was no typical zombie...

"Master! Master! I… feel so much stronger!" Phoenix looked extremely proud of having flesh on his skin, and the light that surrounded his body…

As a light element skeleton, he used to glow, but now it was time for him to use his new strength and backstab those two goblins!

"You look like a night light, Phoenix… Ready to practice killing people behind their backs?"

Phoenix was ready, and sure enough the two goblins got each other's health down to 50 and 400…

The Hobgoblin was clearly winning, but the real winner was Duncan!

[Ding! Congratulations… Host has killed one sanity cloaked goblin for 500 experience…]

[[Ding! Congratulations… Host and Phoenix successfully caused the Hobgoblin to think you're his ally…]

[You've received 20 ES points for successful act of deception!]

[Hobgoblin's trust has gone up to 20%!]

"So... he trusts me already?"

[Ding! Hobgoblins are not known for their intelligence, and are actually considered dumber than moonlight zombies...]

"Hmmm, so you really called him competent?"

[Ding! Host just needs to kill him to tie up loose ends! Please kill him before he recovers...]

Duncan sighed and him and Phoenix began walking one grateful hobgoblin walked towards an exit he'd never reach...

It was approximately 3000 meters away, and him and Phoenix both had their weapons behind their backs...

"Thank you… you two! That goblin has been bothering me for years!" The hobgoblin sounded extremely solemn and morose as Duncan began counting with his fingers…

He was teaching Phoenix how to successfully back stab, and Phoenix looked really into learning…

It seemed his first skeleton summon wasn't dumb…

Wormy, on the other hand, might be a different story, but Duncan pat the hobgoblin on the shoulder…

"Sure… any time! Just say the word, and I got your back!" He readied to stab him in the back in just a second…

"Appreciate it! Its not easy being a hobgoblin…. I have to work for a hundred years to even qualify for leave, and only the special class hobgoblins are given wives…" He leaned down his head in sadness…

Duncan felt bad for him, but Phoenix jumped into the air…

Boom!

Phoenix slammed his foot into the man's neck, and Duncan dropped his knees onto his back…He felt much stronger than before!

In fact, his power level was 3000, and the hobgoblins was 2400…

The ritual he just partook in was extraordinarily rare since it used a rare catalyst to cause an evolution, and he then began stabbing and repeating his strike as Phoenix helped him hold the man's mouth shut…

"I…I'll give you apples! I'll give you… apples!"

"No… it was only an apple…. Apple!"

[Ding! Congratulations… Host has successfully killed the black-horn hobgoblin, and has gained 1200 experience!]

[Host has leveled up!]

[Host has learned new zombie class skill poison breath… and can now send out a cloud of poison to enervate his enemies…]

[Host has gained 5 ES points!]

….

Enna worried in the forest about her ancestor's sword because with that weapon her power would soar enough to protect her from demi-gods.

This location seemed to be a netherworlds middle layer…

The further down you got, the stronger the leaders of the string dimension, so she would be safe with that sword…

It was a very powerful weapon!

Perhaps you could consider that weapon her only hope of truly surviving in this middle layer ,and she was well aware of this fact.

Eventually, no matter how many wards or protective spells she used, they'd find her location because those wards would run out and then her death would be assured…

This was the unfortunate truth of being a devil in the netherworld…

She stood out, and was easily recognizable.

It was sort of like being a tall man in a class of giants, or a gold fish in a pool of dragons…

You could hope they'd leave you alone, but because of the war she'd be captured, tortured, and eventually be traded for the lives of her clansmen…

She had to survive in order to go back to the neutral plains, and then a large fire beamed towards her direction…

"Found you… beautiful woman!"

"Come with me, and become my wife!" A human she'd never seen before came into the forest, and used a series of fast slashes into her stomach…

Boom!

Boooom!

Booooooom!

She felt like a puppet on a string, and dirt picked up around her as she landed onto the floor of a gigantic dragon sculpture…

Sure enough, this was the encampment she sent Duncan too!

Actually, she saw the zombie looking at her as he ran out of the temple…

Fire rained down all around her, and thousands of zombies were set afire as she noticed a hand grasp around her skull…

"Hmmm, you haven't answered me yet…"

"So tell me? Do you want to live?"
