Several days later, the spouses Liu Hei and Liu Hua finally arrived at the Shu family's territory—'The Hunters's Plateau.'

And they chose to appear right in the middle of the territory.

'Weng.'

Immediately, the entire plateau trembled at the sudden appearance of an emperor.

Everyone in the family who were currently busy with their respective tasks felt that their body shook at the mere presence of their guests. Some even had spat a mouthful of blood especially their outer disciples whose body automatically fell on the floor when the Qi aura hovered their territory.

Their initial thoughts were ugly—they knew the Shu family had not offended anyone.

Shu Wei who was already at the peak Sky stage of the Sage realm was the only one who survived, though barely, the pressure due to the domineering Qi aura of the couple.

He haplessly approached the old couple and respectfully greeted them.

"Greetings, Esteemed guests," Shu Wei stammeringly said. "What can our humble plateau do for you."

Liu Hei grinned at the sight of Shu Wei.

"You must be little Qai's father," the emperor politely replied.

Shu Wei simply nodded in reply.

After confirming his identity, the two immediately withheld their auras and looked around the place.

In their minds, it was indeed a peaceful place just like how Qai described it and it was surrounded by a relatively good source of resources with the long stretch of the Darkwood Forest near.

Few breaths later, each member of the family one by one arrived at the place with their face full of worry.

The spouses deeply looked intently at each faces of every member of the Shu family as if they were estimating the strengths of everyone.

Everyone held their breaths while the glance of the couple landed on them.

"I am Liu Hei and this is my wife Liu Hua," the emperor suddenly introduced themselves.

Liu Hua who were simply smiling since they arrived slightly bowed.

"Family head," Liu Hei told Shu Wei. "From this day forth, the two of us shall be the Protectors of 'The Hunters' Plateau'."

"Eh!?"

Everyone almost fell down from shock.

Everything happened so fast.

First, they did not know the identity of the couple. Second, they were not fools to immediately believe the emperor's words—at most, the spouses came to cause trouble. But with the polite attitude the spouses were showing, they seemed to be dead serious.

But the real question that quickly lingered in their hearts was why would two powerful individuals offer themselves to be part a measly cultivating family as Protectors.

Such idea was too good to be true.

"Why don't you let us in first in your manor and let us explain everything," Liu Hua calmly said so as not to instill more doubts towards the Shu family.

***************

Inside a medium sized hall within the family's main manor, everyone was in daze while they kept on listening to the stories.

They let out a breath after confirming that it was Qai who brought the spouses to their side.

Every detail of Qai's exploits in the perspective of the couple was carefully relayed—from how he helped the couple, engaging in slave matches, hiring a blacksmith, infiltrating the Black Shadow Clan up to meeting the Thunder Prince of the Thousand Treasures Pavilion.

And what most stunned each and every member of the family was the fact that the family had now a shop in Sun City.

Elder 'Fatty' Lu was the most excited of them all about the news. He had traveled enough in the region to know how insane the Sun City was when it comes to economy—the merchant in him was itching to visit the shop himself.

The spouses also relayed some of Qai's idea about regularly sending someone from the family in Sun City. And how would they transport their merchandise through the Thousand Treasures Pavilion branch in Jiang City.

"The two of us will not interfere with any of the family's dealings," Liu Hei explained with a smile. "We are not here to suddenly change the culture the family had already established."

Shu Wei let out a breath after hearing the words of the emperor.

While saying that, the old emperor kept on looking at the Storm Bear lazily lying in one corner of the hall. He consequently remembered that Qai once told him he got few more domesticated demonic beasts.

"We just wanted to live peacefully in this place," Liu Hua added. "But we would gladly to be of help to you as we owe Qai a lot."

Liu Hei then described that he would put a defensive barrier in the entire plateau and handed them all the resources necessary to put up the barrier—to the delight of everyone.

Slowly, the the Shu family and it's plateau was becoming more clan-like.

He also handed a spatial ring that Qai asked them to give Shu Wei. It contained new sets of inner armors carefully crafted for everyone and few thousands of 'Spirit Stones.'

After few more explanations, the family did not know what to say and expect now that they have powerful cultivators to live with them.

Shu Wei thereafter decided to give the still untouched northwestern portion of the plateau to the couple as the spouses' private territory and tasked Jing and Su Yu to help their Protectors in building their own manor.

Liu Hua then immediately took Qinlun and Bing under her wings and promised them to share them some of the high leveled recipes she had in possession and give them pointers in order to avoid wastes in concocting pills.

Liu Hei on the other hand, handed over the remaining stalks of the 'Thistle' flower and some other rare herbs and plants they owned to Xiao Ning and carefully instructed the latter to strengthen them with her Wood attribute.

"By the way," the emperor suddenly said. "I'd like to see Qai's other tamed demonic beasts."
