Luke looked around at everyone, \"I know that the only reason Leo got a cook was because of me. Leo himself is an amazing cook and I could eat his food all day but since he had to go to work during the day I needed someone else to feed me. Anna, Edgar, and Samuel all had other jobs within the house but we managed for a while.\"
Edgar looked at Luke, \"if it was not for the fact that you were within my care, I would've tossed you out of the house. We took turns feeding the brat until Carlos arrived. I cooked enough for five people and he would eat all but one sitting.\"
\"I bet that one setting was either for you or Leo. It is okay your guys did a great job. Luke still has some things to learn.\" Kitty kissed Charlette on the cheek.
Charlette squealed in delight and then tried to suckle on Kitty's nose.
Leo pulled the blanket down and covered the two of them. \"It was a real struggle in the beginning but at least we made it through. I was happy that we got all that help that was needed and now I understand why you were so surprised back then Carlos. It was not because of the amount of food Luke could eat but the fact that I, a hunter, took on the task of raising a werewolf.\"
\"The last setting I left was always for the one that cooked for me. As much as I wanted to eat it I wanted everyone to eat something. I did express that at some point and Carlos started to sit down with me. We would eat together but I never knew what he was. That is all in the past now and I know what he is and who he is now. I will not force anyone to tell their secrets to me. I am going to head to sleep now. It is getting late and another day will begin. Sylvie chuckled, \"He is such a sweet child. I am glad that you saved him Leo. I do have to agree with Luke, the night will only get later. Kitty you should rest after Charlette is done eating.\"
\"I will help look after her for you. I know how to mix the formula. If you rest deeply I will feed her for you.\" Stella smiled as she got up from her chair.
Scarlet stood up and jumped in front of Kitty, \"and who do you think you are?\"
\"Rina, it is fine. Stella is here to help look after Charlette. She works with Cindy and the two of them take turns. It is nice that someone can watch over my little Sunshine while everyone is resting. Besides, do you think that Ketan or Sylvie would allow her to be here if she was not safe?\" Kitty handed Charlette to Leo for him to burp her.
Leo gently patted Charlette's back and then held onto her smiling down at her. \"It is alright because I was the one that decided that she was safe and she is part of their vampire clan. I trust her. If I didn't I would've killed her a long time ago.\" After rocking Charlette he got up and handed her to Stella. \"If you are worried we prepared a guest room for you and Alario. It is getting rather late so why not stay overnight?\"
\"I do agree with Leo. I trust anyone that is willing to join Sylvie and Ketan's clan. She has been tested and did not lie. I trust her.\" After Kitty fixed her shirt she got up and Scarlet. \"Rina, I know how worried you are but you are back with Alario so spend that night and then take him back to your house. I bet that would be rather nice.\"
Scarlet let out the breath that she had been holding and turned to Stella, \"I am very sorry. I get overprotective of those that I care about and Kitty has been my friend for a while now. I do hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me?\"
\"There are no hard feelings. I am only helping. I lost all of my family and was hoping to save my last family member but that did not happen. I was trying to save my sister's baby but what I didn't know is that the baby had passed away so I made a personal vow to help the one that brought about the truth. Kitty's baby girl is not a substitution but I do love her as much as anyone else. I do share the duties with Cindy but also Luke. That boy is completely smitten with his sister.
