She always left this kind of boring legwork to her Vice-President if it ever came up. Actually, she only ever came out when they were dealing with difficult clientele. The more tame ones were handled by her Vice-President. ' I'm sorry I put all this work onto you, Kurama. I knew it was boring and tedious and that was why I left it to you but still, sorry. ' She thought to herself during a short respite in the meeting where they had some tea brought in because everyone, and by that it just meant her and the Crown Prince, were getting theirst from all the talking. After the presentation, they started making revisions to the plan in the hypothetical situation that it was accepted. There were some budget cuts but nothing too drastic that would cripple the plan. Shen Tianyu also said she was willing to supplement the lower pay to the workers up to a certain amount. They also fleshed out the whole registration process to suit their culture better, such as adding a ceremony at the end to celebrate the completion. For one night, the masters of each craft would send a representative to the court and celebrate with the royal family and officials. Not only would it serve to pull in private sponsors, they could also voice any hiccups in the process or any changes they thought could be implemented without fear of retribution. After the ceremony, there would a separate branch of the judicial system already formed to deal with this particular crime and anything related. There would, of course, be a need for more judicial officials and constables but not as much as what was predicted for the initial crackdown of a new category of criminals.

After the revisions were done, the Crown Prince told them to rewrite a proposal containing all the work they did and to submit it officially. The fact that the Emperor had sat through the whole meeting and listened was proof enought that he was willing to accept it, was what he said. When it was time, Qiao Wangye was in charge of rallying craftsmen related to his business to register to start the policy off. Jun Wangye was supposed to send some idle military men over to help maintain order in lines and around the capital. Lavender Palace was in charge of reaching out to experts that lived further away. The exact amount of days the registration would be open was yet to be decided, as that was something for the Emperor to decide and he needed to talk with other court officials first for a better estimate. As for the overwork pay that Shen Tianyu was in charge of, depending on the number of workers needed, she can only provide a hundred extra gold ingots at most. As the boss of Lavender Palace and the current Master of Yaodu, she was granted large portions of the profit of her businesses but she always divided half to be put into the organizations treasury and put the other half in her savings in case she needed it for personal use in the future. Though it was said that the pay would come out of Lavender Palace's pockets but she wasn't planning on putting financial burden on her business when she had money collecting dust in a chest somewhere.

' Honestly, buying mansions and stuff is just a waste of money. A normal house can fit a normal family just fine. There would be so many empty rooms in a mansion and you need to pay servants for the upkeep too. Economically speaking, it's not a sound purchase, just like yachts and personal planes. Only the stupid nouveau riche would waste money on those kinds of things to flaunt their wealth. Good thing I have a habit of saving, though people did use to call me stingy. ' She thought to herself as she gathered all her documents and put everything in order. Yanmen Mengxiao and Wu Linghao were also putting all the revisions they had made together. She was to go back to Lavender Palace with them and help them write the proposal. Since this was a new concept to this world and no one else had this kind of knowledge except her, she was worried they might mess some of the details up which could cause the whole policy to flop.

The three older Wangye left first and Shen Tianyu's group left right after them. They bowed to the Emperor as they left who merely nodded back at them in acknowledgement.

"So will you be coming back to Zhu Wangfu?" Rong Jian asked a bit hopefully as they all walked towards the front gate of the Imperial Palace.

"Of course not. I have to get the proposal together. As quick as possible so they can implement it immediately." she replied as she tried to speed up her walking speed without going into a full-on run.

"What are you in such a hurry for?" Rong Jian changed the subject as he tried to keep up.

"I need to speak with Qiao Wangye about our new store." She shouted back as she was already one zhang 1 away.

"Whoa! You're walking too fast!" Rong Jian yelled back as he increased his speed. On the other hand, Yanmen Mengxiao and Wu Linghao didn't look particularly panicked nor tried to increase their speed, merely keeping them both in their line of sight.

"She always gets fired up when there's a big project, doesn't she?" Wu Linghao spoke to his companion.

"I'm sure she's just excited about expanding to new territories. If successful, it'll bring in more money after all." Yanmen Mengxiao replied.

...

"Qiao Wangye! A moment please!" Shen Tianyu shouted when she saw the three older Wangye up ahead. The three of them were walking shoulder to shoulder on the wide main road and seemed to be talking among themselves. When they heard someone call out to one of them, they all turned taround to see who it was. The Crown Princce had a stoic cold face, while Jun Wangye had a friendlier and curious expression. Qiao Wangye, on the other hand, was hiding most of his face with a folding hand fan painted with colored flowers and a poem on the side.

"Oh, if it isn't young sister-in-law. What's the matter? Are you seeking a tryst? Unfortunately, I'm not into taking my younger brother's women..." Qiao Wangye was the first one to speak.

"About the new policy, we were thinking about expanding into the pastry industry and hope to seek a partnership with Qiao Wangye's business." Shen Tianyu ignored him and cut straight to what she wanted to talk about.

"She totally ignored you, old two." Jun Wangye laughed at Qiao Wangye while the Crown Prince managed to remain expressionless.

"Please don't try to flirt with or make moves on my wife." Rong Jian finally caught up and lightly scolded his older brother.

"A partnership you say? So that's where the idea for the new policy came from... how exactly are you planning to partner up and what are you thinking of selling?" Unlike usual, Qiao Wangye ignored their taunting and scolding and focused on the matter presented to him with a gleam in his eye. "Though we may be family, I do try to separate family and business. If your product is not up to par for my brand, I'll never put it on our shelves no matter how close our ties are."

"We are selling a product that has never existed in this world before. Qiao Wangye is welcome to come and try it out, though with your reputation of playing around the Flower District being so widepsread, I'm sure you have tried it at our establishment before." She smiled foxily at him.

"You don't mean-" Qiao Wangye's eyes widened. Though chocolate is served only at the branches of Lavender Palace, the recipe is closely guarded. There have been attempts at replication but until now, no one knows how they are made and Lavender Palace has more variety so fakes could never gather enough customers to sustain the pockets of the outsider long-term.

"Why yes. I do mean that. We were hoping to sell it alongside Qiao Wangye." She reaffirmed his guess as she slowly walked forward, indicating that they should walk and talk.

Qiao Wangye followed directly behind her as the other three Wangye fell in line behind him. Business wasn't their forte so they decided it was best they didn't get in the way of negoitation between potential business partners. "Lavender Palace is quite a big name already, why do you want to sell under my brand all of a sudden?"

"Lavender Palace is indeed a big name, however, we are only known for our prowess in the Red Light Distrct and our little... side business. There's no trust whatsoever in the culinary department, you see. Eve if our food is sought after by the rich and wealthy, they might be less inclined to buy it as a confectionary. Not all reputation can attract customers in new sectors after all. And if we sell it, the wealthy custimers will feel it's less exclusive as before and might not want to pay for it. On the other hand, commoners would feel we're sketchy, which would deter their purchase, you see. So we need a well-known brand that deals in confectionary or a multi-purpose brand like yours that is known for quality, Qiao Wangye."
