"Damn bitch! You actually had the audacity to call the police!" He roared, loosing all his previous coolness to panic as he rushed at her.

"Well you did give enough time for the phone call so why wouldn't I?" She dodged his grab and kicked his feet to try to kick him off balance. Sadly, she had spent all her life honing her brain and not her physical abilities so the kick didn't have the effect she wished it had. A light lit up in the man's eyes as he tried to grab her leg but she was at least quick enough to retract her leg and quickly looked aorund for something to throw at him. Seeing the stapler she always kept on her table, she grabbed it and threw it at his face, aiming for his eyes. Who cares if he ends up blind?! Without giving a second look to see if it connected, she ran towards the door, giving herself a satisfied grin when she heard a painful grunt behind her. Noting that her pumps were getting in the way, she kicked them off and picked them up as she ran. They may get in her way when running but the heels can be a good weapon at least.

"Hahahaha." She heard borderline maniacal laughter behind her but didn't stop to look, instead opting to throw one her pumps in the direction of the voice. "Ugh! You think my brother was the only one with bombs? Well too bad because so do I!" She then heard the click of something before a force threw her forward.

'Shit. He's a suicide bomber too?! What the heck! I thought he wanted to forcefully take over the company! In the end, what did these brothers want to do?!' She screamed for the first time in her life as she felt herself impact the wall in front of her door and broke through it. Opening her eyes, she saw the outside of the building with no support around or under her. 'What's the best landing position in this situation? I don't think I ever learned that!' The ground was quickly approaching her and she was sure the velocity of the fall combined with the force of the explosion would kill her upon impact, if not seriously injure her.

"There's someone falling from the building!" She could hear someone yell form the ground. She didn't bother to see who it was though. She threw her pumps to the side, seeing as she no longer needed them, and braced herself with her arms crossed in front of her.

Boom!

She felt her landing more than heard it. She could feel the bones in her arms and legs breaking from the impact and as the shock traveled inwards to further internally injure her. She wanted to hold her head up to at least avoid damage to it but she could feel her neck creaking from the effort and she wasn't physically strong enough fro that. The pain came all at oncce as her adrenaline started to wear off and she also felt the sting on her back that was probably burned by the initial explosion. She could hear screams, she didn't know if it was hers or the people on the streets, probably both, and people yelling, probably calling for an ambulancce and emergency treatment. Her head felt like it had split open and maybe it did. 'Ugh... if my head did split open, how long would it take to die with my brains exposed to the air? I can't even check if it really is split... maybe it's caved in. Now I'm kind of curious... Hah... Good thing I already took care of the transfer of power beforehand and put my will in a bank safe. Man, even the instincts of a workaholic that has below average stamina is pretty accurate. I thought it was only the physical nutcases that had good instincts.' She thought as she lay motionless on the floor, feeling her conciousness already starting to fade. All she felt was pain but even then, she never thought about the misfortune of her current situation. 'Damn it... If only I could kill that guy... How dare he use Yaoyao and throw her away. I should have at least given him a good punch. Though thinking back on it, he probably would have caught it and maybe even snapped my arms. If there's a next life... I'll definitely put more work in my physical abilities.'

"Lingling!" She thought she could hear somone, her sister screaming out her nickname but she wasn't sure. With her remaining strength, she tried to look towards the voice. And there, running towards her but getting blocked by the police that were securing the scene, was her best friend. And right behind her was Kurama, her most trusted aide, Vice-President, and her oldest friend. The one in front looked like she was crying and screaming and about to lose her mind, while the one behind her was trying his best to hold back his tears as he attempted to negotiate with the police officers to let them through.

'Stupid girl... I told you to... stay away...' She thought tiredly as her vision started to blur and fade to black. She also realized that she couldn't hear anything, her auditory system had probably stopped functioning by now. Her brain was shutting down her bodily functions but she could still faintly feel her body being lifted, perhaps into an ambulance.

And then, she couldn't feel anything anymore. She could no longer hear nor see.

...

Back at the Zhu Wangye's Palace, in the Plum Blossom Courtyard, Shen Tianyu, formerly Xuan Lingwen, let out a sigh. 'The moments leading up to that were sure intense... Though I don't even want to think about what happened right after coming to this world. That was the worst nightmare I could ever have.'

"Wang-, Miss, are you feeling uncomfortable? Do you need more heat or are you hungry?" The Assistant Head Maid asked her through the screen.

"No, I'm fine. I'll be better after I lie down for a bit." She yawned as sleepiness over took her and she scooted toward the end of the bed to lay down. Pulling the three blankets that wer eon her lap over her, she drifted off to a soundless sleep.

...

Shen Tianyu felt a slightly cold hand brush her forehead. Disliking the cold, she furrowed her brows in her sleep and moved away from it. She didn't have a fever, just a headache, the cold touch was not as welcome. She heard a low chuckle from above her, which further aroused her from her sleep. Squinting her eyes open, she saw an ass dressed in purple and a pair of thighs next to her on the bed. She moved her gaze upwards to find her fiancee grinning down at her.

"Oh, it's just you. I wanna sleep, go away." She mumbled as she turned around so her back was facing him and drifted back to sleep.

"This girl..." She heard him say in exasperation, followed by a sigh.

...

Rong Jian stayed there for a while longer, watching the girl sleep with a tender expression before his Head Eunuch quietly entered the room. He looked up at him, the affectionate smile quickly dropping from his face and motioned for him to leave and that he would follow. The Head eunuch bowed and stepped back outside. Rong Jian turned back to the sleeping girl and made sure she was fully covered by the blankets before he got up and left, following the direction of his servant.

"Wangye, please stay safe." He heard a sweet voice to his right. Crinkling his eyebrows, he moved his eyes to look at who it was. The sweet, young voice had come form the Head Maid's assistant. When she noticed his eyes, she started blushing and shrunk into herself out of nervousness. He snorted before he flicked his leeve and left without another word or looking back. No one talked to him with such a honeyed voice, and those that did... were either banned from his Wangfu or in the afterlife.

The Head Eunuch who had been standing at the entranceof the courtyard turned when he heard footsteps approaching. However, he froze when he fully turned around and saw his Wangye with a black face like he had just eaten... something unpleasant. fraid that the other was mad at him for interupting his time with the future Wangfei, the Head Eunuch shrunk his head into his shoulders and cast his gaze downwards, stepping to the side to let his Master pass first. Rong Jian walked past him without saying anything and the servant followed, trying to make himself as small as possible even though it was no use.

"Speak. What matter did you want to report?" Surprsingly, the servant was not met with an angry tone nor a threat of punishment. He raised his head up in surprise, and looked at his Master again. Which turned out ot be a mistake because the other's face was still black and it seemed to become even blacker as he took his sweet time to answer.

He quickly dropped his gazr again and answered his superior's question. "Re-Reporting ot Master... The Xiaoyao Sect has started to move."
