Shen Tianyu stood still even as the ground trembled beneath the man's footsteps. The shaking wasn't so bad that she couldn't find her balance. She easily handed the assassin to the Captain of the guards and held out her other hand for him to see. "I took out this pill from her mouth. I'm not sure if it's some kind of healing pill or suicide pill but I took it out just in case. I've checked before you come here and it doesn't look like she has any other pill in he rmouth but you're free to do a double check." she handed the molar and pill in her hands to him and had him imprison her for now. She knew the Wangfu had some kind of prison, otherwise, where would they put uninvited intruders like this one? Every rich household had some kind of holding cell or prison.
"I would like to check her identity more thoroughly since her skills aren't that good, besides her ability to hide her footsteps." She told the captain and let them bring the captured assassin to the holding cell. She can have them or Ah-Jian guide her there tomorrow since they are his subordniates, he'll know about this soon enough. After the platoon of guards left, she had some servants call over workers to repair the bathouse tomorrow. At the same time, she had some of the servants directly under her command to bring another partition to her room so she can change inside instead of the bathouse which was now more or less just an open air space. When everyone answered her and scrambled to carry out her requests, she ducked back into the bathouse and took out the clothes she had thrown in her space and left in the direction of her room.
"Ah, it's nothing to worry about. Look, aren't I completely fine?" Shen Tianyu reassured her and spread her arms out to let the other see that she there weren't any wounds on her.
"There's blood on your right sleeve!" The other exclaimed, dropping everything she was holding and rushing over.
"I'm fine. It's not my blood. The uninvited guest has been escorted to their appropriate place." Shen Tianyu sidestepped the other with a smile.
Before the two could cause more noise, the door to the room echoed a knock. "Wangfei, we brought over the partition screen you requested." A servant called out to them with several heavy-lifting mamas behind her.
"Come in." Shen Tianyu leaned out a bit to look at them. The servant entered and directed the heavy-lifting maams tro enter the room before she bowed in Shen Tianyu and Bai Yaoxuan's direction. "Wangfei, wehre would you like this to be placed?"
"Just put it right in front of this partition screen." Shen Tianyu leaned further out from her screen to indicate it and the heavy-lifting mamas hauled the screen they were carrying and opened it in front of the one that was already in her room. "Thank you." She thanked them offhandedly before she dismissed them and wished them a good night. She then turned to Bai Yaoxuan when the doors closed. "I need to put on my clothes properly. I'm only wearing one layer right now and it's freezing cold here. Don't peek."
Bai Yaoxuan swatted the other's arm. "What would I peek at you for? It's not like you have something I don't. But you should find another outer robe, that one's dirty. You can send that to the wash tomorrow."
"Yeah. But I need to wear my other layters first." Shen Tianyu rubbed her arms while still holding her other clothes.
"Hurry up and go change then!" Bai Yaoxuan shoved her in the direction of the two partitions but since her cultivation wa slow, Shen Tianyu didn't feel anything.
