Shen Tianyu shook her finger in fornt of the other. "You're too naive, this is a different world so we should adjust to thie rules and customs. 'When in Rome, do as the Romans do', remember?"

"Then, I'll also just marry some random, decently-wealthy person that treats me okay." Bai Yaoxuan crossed her arms and huffed, inflating her cheeks in anger.

"What? Absolutely not! I won't allow such a half-assed union, he definitely must love you and be willing to give you the world without you asking." Shen Tianyu flipped her tone immediately.

"Then, you understand why. I won't let you marry someone half-asses either. Zhu Wangye obviously loves you but you being so... indifferent to him makes me pity him you know? I know feelings can't be forced but can't you treat him a little better? It'll be beneficial for you too."

"I know... but I don't really... Even before, I never really dated, you know. I don't know what I'm supposed to do." Shen Tianyu's teasing smile slid off her face as she leaned on the table, with her head resting atop her arms.

Bai Yaoxuan sighed, not continuing the conversation any further. She had more experience with men than her sister did, though her tastes were pretty problematic seeing what happened with her so-called fiancee. Not everyone was the same, advice that might have worked for her might not work for Lingling anf Zhu Wangye's relationship. Especially so when she hasn't had any experience with men from this world, different worlds meant different social norms and different expectations for a relationship between a man and a woman.

...

The day for Chengyuan School's opening day and first day of late admissions came. Shen Tianyu, due to the displeasing incident, rarely went outside again and all three people stayed in Zhu Wangfu. Bai Yaoxuan managed to talk Shen Tianyu into visitng Zhu Wangye more often and make some small talk. Rong Jian and Bai Yaoxuan also slowly got closer as the three started having meals together.

"Yaoyao let's go." Shen Tianyu held her hand out to Bai Yaoxuan from the carriage, where Rong Jian had settled in. Bai Yaoxuan stretched her hand out and was pulled into Zhu Wangye's official carriage by Shen Tianyu. The driver whipped the horses and the carriage started to move after both the girls had settled.

"Ah-Jian, where are we supposed to go for late admissions? The hall where the regular applicants met for the test or someone'e office?" She asked as they traveled to their School.

"I'm not quite sure since I don't know anyone that got in from late admissions but I think you're supposed to go to the Headmaster's Office." He replied with a sheepish smile.

"Okay, then. Can you lead us to the Headmaster's Office? I want to go with Yaoyao but I don't know the way."

"But it's not like it only happens once. I can look around the second half of the year or next year. I'm just a new student anyways, what they exhibit might not be what I actually learn and is used to attract students or something. I'll just take whatever courses Ah-Jian reccomends, since you're a returning student." Shen Tianyu smiled at the young man as she held her chin with her hads that rested on her knee.

"Oh my lord, would you two stop throwing dog food in front of other people? I'm here, you know." Bai Yaoxuan suddenly spoke since they started the discussion with a roll of her eyes.

"We're not! We're trying to help you, how can you say that?!" Shen Tianyu playfully smacked her, being absolutely sure to hold back her strength enough not to hurt her.

"I can just take Miss Bai there and you can look around." Rong Jian suggested.

"No, I want to stay with Yaoyao." She hugged the other girl's arm. "Besides, I'm really not that interested in their exhibitions. And I need to be there to help her in case anything comes up since I know her the best."

Rong Jian gave up with a shrug and a sigh, though an amused smile graced his face. "Alright. I'll take you two to the Headmaster's Office. Though I suggest we take the main road so at least Miss Bai can get a glance of some of the demonstrations."

Both girls agreed to the suggestion and they all fell into small talk during the last leg of the journey to the Chengyuan School. The carriage stopped in front of the gates with a plaque where "Chengyuan School" was written, hung atop it. Rong Jian got off first, then he helped Shen Tianyu hop down who then aided Bai Yaoxuan again. Surrounding them were a bunch of carriages, possibly even more than what they saw during the Entrance Exam, including new and returning students and perhaps a few late admission students. Shen Tianyu voluntarily held onto Rong Jian's hand while her other held Bai Yaoxuan's. Seeing the suurprised expression flit across her fiancee's eyes, Shen Tianyu smiled at him.

"So we don't get lost in the crowd. Come on, we're looking through the main road before we head to the Headmaster's Office, right?"

Rong Jian nodded and Bai Yaoxuan looked on with a relieved smile on their face. Though the two of them were not extremely close, their relationship was visibly getting better. The three of them, hand-in-hand, followed the crowd as everyone entered the gates of Chengyuan School. The guards were still there but they weren't checking everyone's identity like before, merely searching for suspicious figures. It was probably impossible for them to keep track of all these people anyways. Once they passed the gates, they saw the side of the main road filled with signboards and stalls. Some seniors were selling items while others were getting ready for some kind of simple show, still others were selling food as they advertised a big demonstration that was going to happen later that day and the location. It was just like a school fair or Welcome week in colleges from Shen Tianyu's old world, except much more crowded and with weapons that could possibly kill people out in the open, left unchecked.
