Shen Tianyu puffed out a laugh, seeing them riled up due to her teasing. She waved them to get themselves together. "Anyways, I brought a friend with me. She's attending the engagement banquet but because she's a... neglected daughter, it's not quite right for her to ttend with her family. I brought her here for you guys to doll her up and stick with her throughout the banquet, since I'll probably be busy greeting all the nobilities and whatnot. She just recovered from being a bystander to strong spiritual pressure just earlier today so be careful with her, alright?"
"Understood, Miss. We'll have the maids dress her up aproprietly before we leave for the banquet." Yanmen Mengxiao maanged to regain his composure enough to process her words and reply.
"Okay then. And don't worry, I'll take her back with me when the banquet ends so you guys can do whatever when you come back~" Shen Tianyu left this sentence as she left the Office to go get Yaoyao.
Yanmen Mengxiao's face reddened again as Wu Linghao laughed at the side, holding his stomach.

Shen Tianyu lifted the curtains of the carriage and poked her head in. Bai Yaoxuan let out a minute sigh of relief.
"Yaoyao, I already talked to my people. Come with me, I'll lead you to them." Bai Yaoxuan got up from her seat and was helped down by Shen Tianyu, who was being mindful of her earlier state. She led her down the pavement and back into the Manager's Office.
What Bai Yaoxuan saw was a slim man with an elegant figure chasing a jock, whose muscles could be seen through his clothes but didn't look buff. The elegant man was cursing with a red face while the jocj ran around and hit behind furniture momentarily before taking off again, cackling as he did so.
"You two, calm down! I brought her over so hurry up and arrange a room for her!" Shen Tianyu yelled at the top of her lungs without putting any spiritual power in it. The ruckus immediately died down as the two men smoothed their slightly disheveled looks and bowed to the two girls.
"Apologies for the unsightly display, Miss. I'll have a room arranged for your friend immediately. She can choose to rest for a bit before we have the maids dress her up." Yanmen Mengxiao got himself under control but the red of his ears was still clearly visible.
"Hey girl, what's your favorite color? We'll try to see if we have any dresses in the color you want." Wu Linghao approached Bai Yaoxuan with a friendly smile on his face. However, Yanmen Mengxiao elbowed him in the somach, causing the playful Vice-Manager to double over as he clutched his abdomen.
"Ah. This one is named Bai Yaoxuan, it is an honor to meet the Managers of Lavender Palace." Bai Yaoxuan snapped out of her head and greeted them with a curtsy.
"There's no need for such formalities, Miss Bai. No one here would ever dare to accept such gestures from a friend of the Misstress." Yanmen Mengxiao hurried over to stop her.
"That's right, Yaoyao. These are my subordinates so naturally there's no need for you to be so polite and formal. As my sister, they are naturally your subordinates as well!" Shen Tianyu huffed proudly but her words shocked the two men.
'Sister? Since when did our Misstress accept someone as her sister? Even to the Master, she is reluctant to call him father, how did she so easily accept someone into her family?' Neither of the men said anything out loud of course, but their gazes at this friend of their Misstress now held curiosity.
"Are you sure?" Bai Yaoxuan questioned. Subordinates or not, she was aware of her situation and didn't want to be rude.
"Of course. In fact, if you actually curtsied to the less notable people like the servants, I reckon they'll probably have a heart attack out of fright." Shen Tianyu giggled. Bai Yaoxuan raised and eyebrow but didn't comment further.
She turned back to Yanmen Mengxiao and nodded at him. "Then, I'll be in your care for the evening."
"Of course, it is an honor to escort one of Misstress's friends." Yanmen Mengxiao bowed and this time, Bai Yaoxuan was able to restrain herself from curtsying back, a habit she had picked up in her short time here.
Yanmen Mengxiao led Bai Yaoxuan to one of the rooms on thei third floor while Wu Linghao went back to work, shuffling back any paper that had fallen form the stacks when the two of them were whirling around the room. Once Bai Yaoxuan was no longer in sight, Shen Tianyu also returned to the carriage. As she settled down next to Rong Jian, who gave her a small smile, the carriage departed, heading for the Imperial Palace where they were supposed to get ready.
The guards at the gate let them pass once they saw the carriage, merely glancing at their pass as a formality. Again, the couple lef tthe carriage to board a couple of palaquins as their driver parked their carriage. They were carried to the Empress's residence, the one who had made all the preparations for tonight. The Empress explained that the engagement ceremony will take place before the banquet starts and shouldn't take too long. Then, she sent Rong Jian away to the Crown Prince who had already arranged for people to get him ready. Though none of her children had gotten enageged yet, much to the Empress's dismay, the engagement ceremony was something they had to learn as royal children so Zhu Wangye was already familiar with it. He just needed to review the steps with his older brother. As for Shen Tianyu, this new person, the Empress had already sent some readings and had Rong Jian teach her the procedures but she didn't grow up in Rikui after all so she was worried the young girl might forget from nervousness. The Empress personally followed her maids as they ushered Shen Tianyu into a dressing room in the side building of the Empress's palace, no one was allowed in the Empress's room except for the Emperor and herself now. The children used to have permission but that was rescinded as they became adults. Now, they needed Kuian Xiaoli's permission if they wished to enter.
Kuian Xiaoli reminded Shen Tianyu of all the steps as her own maids busied themselves selecting the latter's hairpins and makeup. The dress had long been prepared, as it was a traditional ceremony the clothes would never deviate much so that was one less worry, in a way.
