And the professors had limited time as they had to teach and do research, she wasn't even a student in any of their classes so it's understandable she wouldn't be a priority.

Even though the one-month assessment test was fast approaching, Shen Tianyu wasn't exactly worried since she already decided to major in Poison Stage too so even if she didn't pass the Beast-Taming assessment, it's not like she'd be kicked out.

The next morning, she went to her classes early since there was a quiz in her Introduction to Herbal Recognition class.

"Greetings, Zhu Wangfei." Gongzhu Ming Yunyue, who had just entered the classroom was the first to notice her.

"Zhu Wangfei." Her fiancee, Nian Yingge followed close behind in saying their greetings.

"It's a good morning, Gongzhu and Mister Nian." Shen Tianyu nodded back.

"It's a surprise how you're not anxious at all even though you barely ever come to this class." Lun Chang, who was already inside, went up to her.

"If I ever do fail, I'll just take it again." Shen Tianyu shrugged offhandedly.

"Wouldn't that be a bad look for your fiancee?"

"Yes. But I'm confident I won't fail." Shen Tianyu gave her a smirk. In reality, she didn't want to attend any of the core classes at all since she was well above those levels but in order to facilitate relationships, she had to. It was just that she was adamant about this particular class since this could be considered her specialty and it was in the morning. As for sword fighting, after the teacher's little lecture, they had time to practice, which in Shen Tianyu's mind, was a time to laze around. Initially, there were some students that weren't very happy with her attitude and after suffering defeat in her hands, even as a group, they realized that she really did have the right to laze around in practice so they stopped bothering her. First-aid was about the only class that she took remotely seriously.

"We'll see about that. This is our first exam since starting this class and it'll also be factored into your assessment score." All tests in a student's class at the time of their one-month assessment were used to determine whether a student could be kept. Since the administration understood a big tournament wasn't everyone's preferred style of showing off. And for the non-nobility students, their education up until then was subpar so it was natural for them to be at a disadvantage compared to the rich kids that knew about cultivation before they could even walk.

Zhang Xiu, the junzhu[1] from Zhandi Nation, entered the classroom after them but didn't receive as warm of a welcome. Even though her attendance was much more consistent than Shen Tianyu's most students stayed far away from her. At first, she had pestered some of the students to introduce her to the Crown Prince or two other single Wangye but after finding out most of them didn't have such a close connection with the royals, she gave up on socializing altogether. The junzhu had tried to ask Shen Tianyu but the latter acted as if she didn't exist and consistently played deaf. She didn't have the face to be so persistent to the wife of someone she deemed unworthy so she is now all alone.

The professor walked in not long after and everyone scurried to their seats. Lun Chang sat next to Shen Tianyu while her older brother, Lun Aoman sat behind her. Gongzhu Ming Yunyue sat on her other side while her fiancee, Nian Yingge, sat in front of her. Zhang Xiu sat on the other side of the classroom. There were other noble children too but Shen Tianyu didn't really pay them much attention aside form exchanging greetings. The teacher personally passed out sheets of blank paper to make sure no one brought in a cheat sheet or something to hide on the desk. Their Cosmo Bag and Pouches were put in a basket the professor held after they took out any writing utensil they needed. Shen Tianyu was better at writing with a brush but still not as good as with a pen or pencil so she took a cinnabar stick with her too, just in case her writing wasn't eligible or her characters were too big.

The exam was a written exam but the one to give out the questions would be the professor. Students would write their answers on the blank sheets of paper and if they needed more, they can raise their hand and the professor's disciples, who were scattered around the room to monitor cheating, would provide them with the additional paper or ink they need.

Most of the questions the professor gave them required short answer to essay answers. They included things like, what does a certain herb do, in what situation can it be used, when is the herb harmful and what it counteracts. To others that might have crammed until the last minute, these questions might be hard since it wasn't multiple choice so you couldn't bluff it. However, for Shen Tianyu, something of this caliber didn't require a lot of brainpower to complete. All medicine had a degree of poison, if used excessively, even an herb used to heal could become a deadly toxin.

Shen Tianyu's relaxed attitude didn't drop throughout the whole exam, even after the teacher declared the test over and for all students to pass up their exam papers. Class ended just like that and Shen Tianyu walked with her little group of influencers to the Sword Department's Training Area. This place was used when the weather wasn't pouring as an open air area allowed wider range of movements and was overall more healthy than staying cooped up in the Practice Building 1. Since Basics of Sword Fighting was an introductory course that students from all departments took, the students were not allowed inside the Sword Department's Training Hall just yet.
