Naturally, the good quality stuff were kept by Yaodu and used for special clothing-like armor such as the pair of shoes Shen Tianyu was currently wearing.
The Crystal Spiders involved in the initial negotiation received the protection of Yaodu as they were moved to the forest that the organization resided in. And every time an "illegal" piece of Crystal Spider silk was sold, they'd track down the seller and find the Crystal Spider habitat they took it from in order to see if they could recruit the demonic beasts under them. Those that refused were left to their own devices, land wasn't unlimited, you know. The forest surrounding the Yaodu headquarters was protected by a barrier made, maintained, and occasionally improved by the top Array masters of the organization. The Crystal Spiders were not the only useful but endangered species inhabiting these forests so each species had a separate plot of land that suited their tastes. For overly excited youths that were all to eager to prove their worth and had yet to understand the difference between Yaodu and other human organizations, they had Array apprentices set up a barrier surrounding the quarters of new trainees to forbid them from going out. The Array apprentices capable of such a barrier were usually around their forties, much older than the trainees. In addition, there were patrols by retired mercenaries that still wished to contribute to make sure everyone would behave. There had yet to be any incidents of breaching the mutual benefit contract with the various demonic beast species and Shen Tianyu intended to keep it that way. Thinking about that, Shen Tianyu once again realized how foolish humans were.
Shen Tianyu arrived at the School grounds with Rong Jian and Bai Yaoxuan to find the place decorated with various colored decorations and banners. Upon entering, there were various stands along the main road, with the students stalls from the Initiation day before the orientation being replaced by snack and drink stalls. Colored cloth and multi-colored signs were displayed everywhere while advertisers roamed around with placards hung around their necks like death-row criminals, minus the gloomy atmosphere.
"Right? It's really like a Cultural Festival." Bai Yaoxuan looked around at all the snacks being sold. Needless to say, hamburgers, hot dogs, and the like that the two were used to seeing cooked at festivals did not exist in this world.
