"I wonder how they're going to make a competition with this kind of platform." Shen Tianyu commented as she sat down in her seat. The competition being held by the Fist Department was taking place in the same stadium she went to yesterday. Apparently, it's not necessary to use this stadium for the examination but it was the most flashy. It was the only structure accessible to the public that was this big.
It was still alright for the Sword Department's competition to be held here since it was flashy enough. However, the Fist Department focused on close combat so there's not much to see for those that are sitting far away since it'd just look like two people huddled together on the stage.
The Shield Array was carved into the side of the stage so any department could use it but the Sword Department used it most often due to various reasons stated before. The Talisman and Array Department students didn't need to come out all the way here and the Beast Taming Department's problems can usually be taken care of pretty quick. Also, the Shield Array doesn't work a few types of spiritual beasts so that was another reason they didn't use it.
"I wonder if it'll be the same format as yesterday." Bai Yaoxuan asked no one in particular.
"Dunno. I only knew about it on the day of." Shen Tianyu crossed her legs.

Ming Yunyue, on the other hand, said that she wanted some serious instructions instead of a fight. What you can learn during a fight is limited, especially if the opponent is stronger than you.
When she left the stadium at the end of the day, Nian Yingge was waiting for his royal fiancée to congratulate her. Shen Tianyu stood a bit farther back and waited until they had their moment to approach.
"Congrats, Yunyue! Third place in a popular Department is quite a feat!" Shen Tianyu bounded over before they could suck on each other's faces in public.

Bai Yaoxuan also offered her congratulations, while Rong Jian just gave a congratulatory nod. "Don't stress your hips too much and remember to use protection!" Shen Tianyu reminded the two with a devious smile before running toff to Rong Jian's carriage.
The two of them, being a shy bunch, could only glare at her with red faces as they departed.
