I do apologize for that." He rambled on with a sheepish smile on his face as he stepped aside and motioned for them to enter. When he noticed the young man beside Shen Tianyu, he gave a bit of a start.
"Oiya? Who's is? Ah, he's your husband, Zhu Wangye isn't he? Sorry, I only saw him just yesterday. Hello, welcome, please come in and help yourselves." His speech was so fast that Rong Jian didn't find the chance to interrupt and just nodded his head to show he understood.
When they were seated at the round table in the center of the room, Tian Yu busied himself in his haphazardly thrown on robe making some tea for them. Rong Jian looked at Shen Tianyu as if to ask whether it was okay for himt o be doing such menial tasks and she just gave him a smile as she shook her head, telling him not to mind it.
"So what brings this couple of newlyweds to me? Shouldn't you guys be on your way to your honeymoon or something?" When he settled down after pouring each of them their cups of tea, Tian Yu began to talk again.
"Oh nothing. Just came to thank you for coming and helping with Yaoyao." Shen Tianyu responded as she sipped her tea.
"Tian'er's body seems to be unwell." Rong Jian added, seeing that she didn't mention it.
"Eh? Isn't that normal after the wedding night?" Tian Yu started.
"We didn't do anything." Shen Tianyu replied with a straight face.
"Eh? Seriously?" Tian Yu looked at the both of them with eyes full of doubt.
"Anyways, just give me a simple checkup and I'll answer some questions you have? You probably have a few, right? As thanks for helping Yaoyao." Shen Tianyu waved her hand as if to shoo away the doubts.
Tian Yu's eyes lit up upon hearing that and readily threw his doubts out the window as he got ready to read her pulse.
After confirming there were no problems with her, physically, Tian Yu took out a notebook filled to the brim with writings and sat across from Shen Tianyu, ink and brush at the ready.
"About the 'Shoulder Replacement Surgery' you talked about before..." He began as he flipped to an empty page in his notebook.
"Mn. It can be separated into three categories: total shoulder replacement, partial shoulder replacement, and reverse shoulder replacement." Shen Tianyu held up three fingers.
She then puts up another finger. "Partial replacement is exactly as it sounds and only the ball part gets replaced.
She then puts up a third finger. "And Reverse replacement is when the artificial ball gets attached to your shoulder bones while a socket is implanted at the top of the arm." She went on the explain the general procedure for each but it wasn't like she was a surgeon or doctor in her previous life so she couldn't go too in-depth.
Even so, Tian Yu was nodding his head and writing every word she said as if they were prophecies. Being a genius in the medical field, though, he can probably figure out the details.
Rong Jian, on the other hand, didn't have advanced medical knowledge and just seemed to zone out on the side as he watched their interactions.
When the "lecture" was done, Tian Yu thanked her and cleaned up the utensils on the table.
Shen Tianyu turned to Rong Jian as the doctor was cleaning up. "I have something to tell him."
Rong Jian got the message and excused himself first. "I'll wait for you in the lobby."
"Aah... as expected of the Master of Lavender Palace, you're indeed amazing... eh? Where's your husband?" Once Tian Yu was done, Rong Jian had already left the room.
"I had him step out." Shen Tianyu replied as she finished her tea.

"Shue'er went out to pick some herbs with a few of your guardsmen as escorts." Since it was none of his business and he actually wasn't that close to her on a personal level, Tian Yu decided not to pry. Don't mistake his enthusiasm but they were more on the level of casual teacher and student. In reality, he was closer to his own disciple that had been introduced to him than he was with Shen Tianyu.
It's just that he is more than willing to help her because of all the knowledge that she has bestowed upon him. Even though he understood it initially started as an exchange to get him to accept her subordinate as his disciple and later evolved into a business connection that could be taken advantage of if need be. And the relationship was mutually beneficial, actually it could be said that it favored him. Though he may be a famous doctor, he needed someone to protect him from other sects and organizations that have a grudge against one of his patients or don't want him to help one of their enemies. And Luo Shue was not only studious, she was also talented in the way of medicine so there wasn't much of a loss for him. It was probably more of a loss on Shen Tianyu's end because she keeps having to give away such valuable knowledge in order to maintain their relationship. Though that was just in his opinion.
