In the middle of the day, all the students were assembled for the handing out of the monthly missions. Students were to form groups and pick a mission from the makeshift mission board and go solve it. Due to the possibility of unknown factors, every group was given a signal flare to call for help from other nearby groups or guardian teacher. The students had a time limit set for them depending on how far they had to travel. This was so the students wouldn't fool around but also to give them an extra layer of security. If they don't come back within the allotted time, a search party will be dispatched to their location. Therefore, if anything happened and they are unable to get aid, they just had to wait until their time limit was over.
"So, who's in who's group?" Lun Chang asked their group of influencers.
"I'm following, Ah-Chang, of course!" Her brother declared.
"Well, we're first years so a lot of the seniors don't really want to bring us along and get dragged behind. I guess our only option is to group together, right?" Shen Tianyu completely ignored Lun Aoman.
"Zhu Wangfei is right. It would be hard for us to find appropriate partners outside of this circle." Ming Yunyue followed suite as it has become a habit nowadays. And the person himself never complained. Nian Yingge just nodded along.
"So, a group of five, huh? Looks like a good number to me." Shen Tianyu took note of the members.
"What about your husband? He's really staring over here." Lun Chang pointed out Rong Jian who was in a different spot halfway across the gathering place. He was indeed staring at Shen Tianyu and their group, but he seemed to already have one of his own.
"Oh. He's probably going with his usual group. Jun Wangye is there too." Shen Tianyu waved at him across the field and gave him an "ok" sign to tell him she was fine and had her own group.
There was still concern in his eyes but he nodded at her sign. Jun Wangye, who had just finished discussing with the other members, came over and patted Rong Jian on the shoulder. He seemed to be telling him something but She Tianyu couldn't hear over the din of chatter throughout the place.
Instead, she searched around for Bai Yaoxuan. Her sister had come in late and her cultivation wasn't high, anyone can tell at a glance. She was worried if she was able to find a group.
"Do you have someone else in mind?" Lun Chang noticed her searching head and asked.
"No, there's just someone I'm worried about. I know it's presumptuous but if they haven't found a group, can we bring them in?" She turned back to them to ask. They were technically teammates now so she shouldn't make these decisions on her own.
"Of course." Shen Tianyu felt that was only natural and left them to discuss what level of missions they think their group could handle, to search for her sister.
She found Bai Yaoxuan in the sea of people and was about to call out to her when she noticed a familiar face closing in on her. The people around her were either ignoring her or giving her apologetic looks, probably because they deemed her a nuisance due to her low cultivation. She seemed to brush them off, but her tapping fingers said otherwise. Ningwu Liushan went up to her and seemed to say something to her that made her brighten up. She nodded at him and he gave off a soft smile while Bai Longtian was making a slightly displeased face but held his tongue.

"Lingling. Yes, he just did. Were you going to invite me too?" Bai Yaoxuan made an apologetic face.
"Ah, it's fine. It's better for you to interact with other people anyways. In fact, I'm glad it's Senior Brother Ningwu, you'll be in good hands." Shen Tianyu smiled as she waved it off.
"Of course. I fully intend to protect Miss Bai on this mission." Ningwu Liushan replied in a rare serious tone.

As the four of them were talking among themselves about adjusting their difficulty level, Shen Tianyu took advantage of this chance to slip a small pouch into Bai Yaoxuan's hands.
"It's just some precautionary items. There's two talismans to create a shield from a Talisman Master and an enchanted sword that can throw out a cutting wind that is able to mow down enemies within a 5 feet radius. But be careful not to show these cards too early." Shen Tianyu told her when she looked over at her.
Bai Yaoxuan opened her mouth to refuse but Shen Tianyu cut her off.
"Your cultivation is low. These are just precautions. You might not even need them but just to be safe. Come back alive, alright?"
Bai Yaoxuan could only swallow her complaints and nod.
