"We can buy some restaurant or street food but dried food would be the most convenient and best for travel." Shen Tianyu told them as much but didn't bar them from buying non-dried food. They were all of high standing, one way or another and it was certainly better for the taste buds if there's a variety of taste.

Honestly, she also wasn't too inclined about eating dried fish and nuts for the next few weeks despite being able to do so from her younger years.

'I used to go food hunting back in my old world every chance I got. Fast food wasn't good for the body and it was all quite greasy. Regional cuisines also tell a lot about the culture too. And after coming here, I haven't had to live on dried food except for the early years at the Shen residence. Even Yaodu had decent meals, though I wouldn't call it high-class. Three stars at most.' Shen Tianyu thought to herself as they all looked around in search of a place to buy food for the long-term.

"We should buy more dried food than readily cooked food, just in case we don't have enough space or some unforeseen circumstances occur. By the way, who's in charge of food or are we all carrying some?" Lun Chang brought up whetehr they should divide the work of carrying food.

"I think for food, we can just let everyone keep their own portions but I think it's better to assign someone to carry the dried food." Shen Tianyu suggested.

"Then I'll keep track of our dried foods." Ming Yunyue, as the only other person in the group with a Cosmo pouch, volunteered immediately.

With that settled, they went to the nearest dried food store and collectively bought a pile of sardines, jerky, various types of nuts and dried fruits. After Ming Yunyue stored everything, they all wandered the streets of the capital to buy readily cooked food, which they all admitted was more delicious. Shen Tianyu commented it was also a way of getting to know each other more before the mission.

As the sun was setting, the group of five finished up their shopping and scheduled to meet each other in front of the blacksmith shop they first went to the next morning. Shen Tianyu went back to Zhu Wangfu to find that Rong Jian had already returned and finished getting ready.

"I guess you guys are used to it now, huh." She made some small talk at the dinner table and asked for more information on missions. It was convenient since Bai Yaoxuan was also there.

...

After meeting up and picking up the equipment they had left with the blacksmith overnight, Shen Tianyu's group, whose leader was elected to be her since she seemed to know the most about how to go about these situations, went to assembly in front of Chengyuan School. The groups set off their separate ways after the principal and Vice-principal, a stern looking older man, gave their speeches and well-wishes. Rong Jian's group was already considered seniors and they had the famous Jun Wangye leading them so it was inappropriate for them to choose a mission in the same pool as the freshman so they were headed further out for more dangerous missions.

Since they would be travelling by caravan carriages part of the way, they all kept their armory in their Cosmo equipment and only had a sword hanging from their waists. The caravan carriages worked kind of like buses in Shen Tianyu's old world. They take you to in a general direction with other people going the same way and drop you off at an intersection where you continue to your individual destinations from there. It also served as relationship building with merchants as the students served as guards for the merchants' caravans in exchange for the transportation.

Of course, being cultivators from a famous School, they had their designated carriage in the caravan line to put some menial things and rest in between shifts. And unlike other caravans, there weren't many people headed towards Qiongqi Village so Shen Tianyu's group had enough leg space to stretch. The news about the infestation around Qiongqi Village had spread far and wide by this point and there was certainly a decrease in the amount of traffic headed there but not enough to be worrisome. That was because the citizens knew, even if the Village didn't pay for a request, the School would send a group of students to investigate after the rumors spread all the way to the capital.

"This is my first time traveling like this, it feels refreshing somehow." Ming Yunyue sighed as she looked over the scenery after their caravan had left the gates of the capital. Even though she was wearing plain-looking clothes, her noble aura couldn't be suppressed. She looked like a typical beauty you see in fantasy romances, holding her hair from behind as she turned her head 45 degrees to look at the greenery in front of her.
