"I'm looking for Red Clover Blossoms, Red Brocade Mugwort, Winter Ice herb, Heart Blossoms, Demon Grass, Emperor's Blood, and Lease of Life." Shen Tianyu told the clerk as soon as she entered. She knew these herbs and they definitely wouldn't be boldly displayed in the open where one could easily snatch them. One glance around the floor and she could tell the herbs on display were of low quality and common origin, though they may seem valuable to non-cultivators but most of them were no longer useful after the Qi Refining Level.
The first floor of the shop was arranged kind of like a warehouse, with shelves of medicinal herbs lining the walls and cabinets with an open top arranged around the floor. The shelves only had one of each herb in order to appeal to the variety that the shop held while the ones in the cabinets were for browsing. The more valuable herbs seemed to be stored elsewhere as the faint smell of medicine told Shen Tianyu there weren't any high quality ones stored here, at least on this floor.
The store, from the outside had three floors and the first floor allowed people to come and go freely, though there were guards at the doors to deter theft. The second and third floor is only granted access to those who have an employee with them. Each floor was more heavily guarded than the next and only after showing proof that one could actually afford to pay for the products at their d.e.s.i.r.ed floor and identity verification can customers be led to the above floors.
The clerk started at having an unknown face stride confidently into their shop and demand such herbs. One must know, the herbs named were not ordinary herbs and were actually hard to obtain. Being a clerk, the man knew a bit about medicine but his head was surrounded by question marks. Some of these herbs were deadly while some of them had medicinal properties that can be used to heal. He wasn't a pharmacist, pill master, or a doctor so he wasn't sure if the deadlier herbs could be used to cure. She figured Zhu Wangye should be enough proof of her financial situation since he could just pay if she didn't have enough. Not that that would ever happen considering she ran two big businesses and he just took in distributed taxes of the people. Just based on that, it can be seen who actually had more money between them, that was completely disregarding whatever side business she knew he was involved in though.
