"New trinkets? Hmph! You think you can assuage this humiliation with your useless little human trinkets?!" The voice replied from above.
"Now now, Old Qi. Don't be so up in arms, it was a fight after all. Humans have different techniques and senses than us. Let's at least see what this little girl has in store." The Abyssal Crow sounded from the side.
"Er... yes. I do have some things that are quite popular among some demonic beasts." Shen Tianyu admitted.
As Muo Jeng's only disciple, and later, as the leader of Yaodu, naturally the first to benefit from her little ideas would be her own people and the demonic beasts residing in the surrounding forest. Of course, she made sure they were safe to use before letting anyone else touch them.
Old Qi snuffed upon hearing her answer. "I'm not like those other peasants. I'm a Tyrannical Sky Tiger! I won't be taken by some stupid little third-rate toys."
"Of course not! I've also met some other esteemed demonic beasts that are taken with some of these trinkets. Even a fellow Tyrannical Sky Tiger." Shen Tianyu reached into her Cosmo Pouch and into her own personal space.
"Oh? You've met another Tyrannical Sky Tiger before?" This piqued Old Qi's interest and he seemed to momentarily forget his anger due to humiliation.
"Yes, he's younger but he's also taken with a few of my trinkets." Shen Tianyu pulled out a batch of fireworks, a small rocket, a rubber ball and a wooden car model she had someone else carve. She didn't mention that this young Tyrannical Sky Tiger resided with them or else it would make the demonic beast in front of them even more angry. Even if Tao Zhouqi had never interacted with it, he should have enough sense to know that one should not easily jump on a Tyrannical Sky Tiger's back.
"Hm... so you make these?" Old Qi's voice sounded closer now, as if he was peering down at the offerings, but he was still out of their field of vision.
"I come up with the blueprints. If it's something that requires intricate handiwork, I usually leave that part to someone else." Shen Tianyu explained to the demonic beast.
A small thud sounded as the Tyrannical Sky Tiger finally entered their field of view. Tao Zhouqi and Yi Weixing had already retreated back to the group and was being reprimanded by Elder Yu.
"Mn? What's this?" Old Qi pawed the rubber ball and it rolled towards it.
"This is a rubber ball." Shen Tianyu simply replied.
"Rubber? What's a rubber?"
In this timeline, rubber had yet to be discovered, other than Shen Tianyu. Balls in this world, even if Old Qi had seen them before, were made of wood. A special type of wood that had a certain level of elasticity is used. The wood would then be carved into smaller and smaller circlets until there was a pile of different sized circlets. Then, the wooden circlets would be stuck together from the smallest to the largest enveloping it on the outside.
"Rubber is made from extracting sap from a particular tree known as hevea brasiliensis or rubber tree and mixing it with juice from another plant. This one here is made by combining the tree sap with juice of a Glyphosate, otherwise known as Morning Glory. After mixing and stirring, it is stored in a cool and dry place where you can take it out for use. You can also pour the rubber into a mold before it completely cools to get a particular shape, such as this ball." Shen Tianyu's figure looked very much like a salesperson or curator explaining about their subject.
'Synthetic rubber is impossible to make right now since the machines required for a lot of the work is has not yet been invented. Not to mention the machines, even the parts required to make them have yet to be discovered. Electricity hasn't been invented yet either, or at least, not large scale electrical networks. Please, I'm just a business major, how would I know how to make those big-ass machines and gears and whatever else it is they need to work? All this stuff is based fifty percent on simple research I had done online and fifty percent on experimentation. Okay, the ratio might not be completely accurate but it's almost like that. Ah... how I miss the Internet and smartphones right about now...'

It was not nearly enough to become some kind of genius inventor that could make everything. Part of her knowledge was due to her own spontaneous curiosity and the other part was so she could understand her business partners and their stances better so she could get better deals.
