Dimension Farm.

Antonio’s Cafe.

“Who is that person?”

“I don’t know. Antonio. Who is he?”

Customers who had come to drink the Luwak coffee that had been served after a long time were gossiping as they looked at the strange man who had taken a seat in the corner of the cafe.

A man with a long sword on his side and a bow and quiver on his back. He had a sturdy physique and sharp eyes, and the scar on his left eye made him look even more intimidating.

“Well, it’s my first time seeing him today.”

“Who is he? The trade ship didn’t come today.”

“That’s right.”

Since it was located by the harbor and there was active trade between towns, the appearance of foreigners was not uncommon.

However, that was only when the trade ship came in. Today, neither the trade ship from Mulvia Chamber of Commerce nor the regular passenger ship that connected the towns had come.

“Could he have come over the mountain?”

“No way. How could he have come over there? It’s said to be crawling with monsters.”

The only land route leading to this village was filled with monsters and carnivorous animals.

That was why the residents and traders traveled by sea. So, for an ordinary person, crossing the mountain was something they wouldn’t even consider.

“There’s no other way but that.”

“That’s true… He doesn’t look like an ordinary person either.”

All sorts of speculation ran wild, such as mercenaries, bounty hunters, and Hunters.

As they were glancing at the man and whispering, the man who had been sitting in the corner silently drinking coffee suddenly got up from his seat.

All eyes in the cafe focused on his actions.

The man who got up from his seat walked slowly towards the bar table where Antonio was standing.

“Excuse me, do you need anything?···”

“Where is the nearest inn?”

“If you go out here and keep walking to the right, you’ll see a fountain in the square, and it’s right across from it.”

“Thank you.”

Clank-

The man paid for his coffee and disappeared leisurely.

“How is it?”

Hae-jun prepared a special dish for the employees’ lunch break.

“What is this?”

“Chicken Karaage(Fried Chicken) and Croquettes.”

Karaage is a Japanese fried dish where the meat is coated in a thin layer of starch instead of batter, and Croquettes are a Western fried dish where mashed potatoes are fried.

In addition to that, he also baked a pizza using Gorgonzola cheese made by Chloe. [T/N: Gorgonzola is one type of blue cheese, originally produced in northern Italy]

“It looks delicious.”

“Should I add it to the menu?”

“Yeah. I’ll do that. Eat it and give me your honest opinion.”

Hae-jun has been really into researching cooking lately.

Sometimes, when he’s tired, he recovers from his fatigue by drinking a glass of soju with a cheap abalone dish, and he focuses on farming and cooking as he goes back and forth between the farm and reality.

Thanks to the great teacher called YouTube, he can study recipes anytime, anywhere.

After a few days of research, he created a menu that Sunflower was lacking.

Although dishes like Pork Cutlet, Croquettes, and Karaage all fall under the broad category of fried food, their recipes are subtly different.

Pork Cutlet is made by coating thinly sliced pork in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs in that order and then frying it, but Chicken Karaage is made by lightly coating chicken with starch powder and frying it until it turns a light brown color. That’s why it tends to have a crispier texture than chicken and goes well with rice.

The method of coating Croquettes is similar to that of Prok Cutlet. However, instead of meat, the inside is filled with mashed boiled potatoes and finely chopped carrots and peppers.

If you mold it into a round shape like a rice ball and fry it, you can easily make Potato Croquettes, and you can create various variations depending on what ingredients you mix in.

If you put cheese inside when you mold it into a round shape like a rice ball, it becomes Potato Cheese Croquettes, and you can also add Japchae or curry, or even chopped shrimp, and it will taste good.

“It’s all delicious.”

“Actually, there’s no point in evaluating it. The boss made it.”

“That’s true.”

“But I’m curious about something.”

“What?”

“Why don’t we serve any beef dishes? If you look at other Western-style restaurants, they sell beef cutlets.”

“Isn’t that too expensive?”

“At least they sell hamburger steaks.”

Simply put, beef cutlets are the beef version of pork cutlets, and hamburger steaks are dishes where pork and beef are ground and flattened and then grilled.

“Hmm, that’s true.”

“Really. Why don’t we have any menus with beef in them?”

Everyone looked at Hae-jun as if they were curious.

In fact, if it’s a Western-style restaurant, hamburger steaks and pork cutlets are menus that they definitely sell.

All the other menus had variety, but the only menu that they didn’t have was hamburger steak.

Hae-jun also knew that fact, so he bought beef from a butcher shop and tried making it, but the taste was significantly worse. Rather, he felt like it was ruining the unique flavor of the black pigs from Dimension Farm.

The only things that he could get from Dimension Farm were pork and chicken, so he had given up on dishes with beef in them for the time being.

“I’m still researching it.”

Hae-jun roughly brushed it off, saying that he was researching recipes.

“Rather than that, how are these menus? Is it okay to put them on the menu?”

“What are you talking about? The customers’ reactions will be great.”

“Hmm. That’s right.”

“I agree.”

“How should we sell them?”

“How about we sell them separately as side menus like the shrimp tempura? We can put the pizza on the main menu.”

Min-ju gave her opinion.

They decided to sell the Gorgonzola pizza for 6,000 won, and the chicken karaage and croquettes for 2,000 won each.

“That’s right. Oppa. Shouldn’t we also sell that wine?”

“Wine?”

“It’s the wine that Director Jackson highly praised. The customers keep asking about it. Aren’t you going to sell that wine?”

“Isn’t alcohol a bit…”

Since it was piled up like a mountain in the farm’s storage, they didn’t have a shortage of stock.

“I think it would be okay to sell it by the glass as a drink concept. Other restaurants also sell beer, cocktails, and wine.”

“Then should we try selling it?”

“How much should we sell it for?”

“About 2,000 won per glass?”

“That’s~ too cheap, but all the food at our Sunflower is cheap. It’ll be okay. We’ll put it on the menu like that, and we’ll also put up a notice on Instagram.”

“Please do.”

The additional menu meeting, which also served as a meal, was over.

During the evening business, one thought kept crossing Hae-jun’s mind.

‘It would be great if I could find a cow···.’

***

Today, too, the day’s work ended without incident.

Hae-jun entered Dimension Farm and requested the necessary crops for the next day from Haas and prepared for the exploration.

The exploration target was ‘cow’!

Come to think of it, the chickens, goats, and pigs were all captured around the farm.

The chickens were caught in traps, and the pigs were the ones he caught while chasing the mysterious attacker that was destroying the fields.

‘The goats were so docile that I lured them with food.’

Perhaps if he could just find a cow, he would be able to domesticate it easily.

Once he found one, it wouldn’t be difficult to raise it since he had a pasture, and he could just ask Uncle Gary to slaughter it, so there wouldn’t be a problem.

“Let’s go, Mongchi.”

“Meow!”

Hae-jun headed towards the fields where he might find a cow with Mongchi.
