Ethereal Claw

Tens of millions of red dragons along with all of the blue aura rushed at Xin Yun then sneaked into Xin Yun’s body from all over.

When the last dragon entered his body, all of the blue atmosphere in the surroundings disappeared. Just as Xin Yun was preparing to return to his body, a sudden change occurred!

With the final dragon-shaped force entering his body, a blue ripple occurred in the endless void. That ripple was not one that diffused outward, instead, it was the opposite. It gathered in the center.

From the endless void came waves of ripples. With the area in front of Xin Yun as the center, they quickly gathered together. Along these ripples, a small jade-blue light the size of the tip of a needle became brighter and brighter as time progressed. By the end… it was truly too blinding!

Looking at the jade-blue point of light, Xin Yun’s heart began to race. That’s right…. this was the core of the jade blue sea. Only after absorbing this core could he truly summon his own dragon. Otherwise, there was no way for the dragon to appear.

All this time, the dragon core hid in this light. Only after Xin Yun had absorbed the rest of the light did it lose the last of its cover and have no choice but to appear.

While Xin Yun was excitedly waiting, the jade-blue colored light finally reached its peak luminosity, then… the jade-blue colored light gradually expanded from the size of the tip of a needle to the size of an egg, then… in the next instant, that dragon core shining brightly flew off with a whistling sound.

Faced with an escaping dragon core, Xin Yun had already made preparations. Whether he would succeed or fail would be decided right here. If he could not catch this dragon core, he would be unable to form a dragon core in his body, which would also mean that he could not summon a dragon from his body.

Although he was still not familiar with the jade blue sea’s power, Xin Yun could not be more familiar with flying, especially when using a dragon’s body, he had even more experience. While he was moving his consciousness, Xin Yun’s body flew like an arrow and chased after the dragon core that exuded a jade-blue light.

Very obviously, Xin Yun’s present speed was much higher than that dragon core, but… that dragon core seemed to have a mind of its own. When it found that Xin Yun was faster, it intelligently turned and actually avoided being swallowed by Xin Yun!

It was agile and smart! Looking at the blue dragon core that bounced around, Xin Yun tried all sorts of solutions; however, he still failed to obtain it. Although the core’s speed was lower than his, in terms of agility, it was too much more agile than Xin Yun.

Who knew how long Xin Yun had been chasing, but his soul had already become exhausted, but the jade-blue dragon core was still fast and agile like a snake. Xin Yun knew that he had already exerted all of his strength, but it was very clear that based on his current condition, it was impossible to capture this dragon core.

But even if he clearly knew that he could not do it, he could not give up. This was his only chance. Once he lost this chance, he would have to give up on summoning his own dragon in this life, also… even if he could still summon one, Xin Yun would have no place to go and find a 9.9 tier dragon creation stone.

Looking at the incomparably agile dragon core, Xin Yun gritted his teeth and hated that he could not hold it down then throw it into his mouth. Unfortunately, although dragons had claws, they were too short. At the very front was the dragon’s head. If the mouth could not catch it, there was even less hope for the claws.

Just as Xin Yun was feeling extremely resentful and secretly thinking about holding down the dragon core with his claws, suddenly, Xin Yun felt a surge within his body. In an instant… a dragon claw suddenly fell from the sky in front of him, whistling toward that agile dragon core to hold it down…

“Whoosh…” In the last possible moment, the dragon core suddenly turned and narrowly avoided it. Seeing this scene, Xin Yun stared blankly. What was going on? Where did that dragon claw that had suddenly appeared from thin air come from?

Right before the dragon claw had appeared, he seemed to have felt a ripple of power within his body. Could that mean.. that the dragon claw was something that he had summoned?

While he was thinking, Xin Yun looked toward his body. Sure enough… the claw at the end of his body was rapidly returning from nothingness and was regrowing in its original place.

In order to confirm his own guesses, Xin Yun did not dare delay. Moving his conscious mind, the dragon claw that had just reappeared disappeared once more. At the same time, another dragon claw appeared above the dragon core and flew at it.

Xin Yun was truly happy to the point of insanity. With a flick of his tail, he suddenly sped up and chased after the dragon core at full speed, then… at the same time that the dragon core suddenly turned, he moved his conscious mind, and a dragon claw grabbed at the dragon core. In this situation where the dragon core could not dodge in time, he managed to grab hold of the dragon core.

Everything happened very quickly. In practically the instant that the dragon claw appeared. From a certain point of view, it was the dragon core that bumped into the claw. Not to mention dodging, perhaps it did not even have time to think of dodging.

Not daring to be careless, Xin Yun moved his body and plopped the dragon core into his dragon’s mouth and swallowed it… Xin Yun’s body floated eerily in the air, and light radiated from his body.

Following the light that came from Xin Yun’s body, the nine spirit dragons that had been coiled up inside Xin Yun’s spiritual sea soared out. Following Xin Yun’s blood vessels, they rushed at Xin Yun. Under Xin Yun’s gaze, they all entered Xin Yun’s dragon form.

One… two… three… all the way to the ninth dragon, Xin Yun’s dragon form grew rapidly. From the beginning, where it was the thickness of an arm and four meters long, it gradually grew. When the ninth dragon entered his body, Xin Yun already had a thickness of one meter and was over ten meters long!

Just as Xin Yun was quietly looking at his body, the dragon core that Xin Yun had swallowed suddenly created an extremely large attractive force. In an instant… Xin Yun’s dragon form gradually became illusory. Then, in one ten-thousandth of a second, it turned into mist in the sky then filled every inch of the dragon core.

At this point, it was completely considered Xin Yun’s dragon core finally being formed. With this dragon core, Xin Yun could summon his own dragon, but… what caused Xin Yun to feel a bit regretful was that although this dragon could not be any closer to copper first star, it was still not there!

Although Xin Yun’s current dragon was not considered small, at one meter thick and ten meters long, it was still a little too small for him to climb on and have it fly.

Based on his experience from his previous life, a diameter of one meter meant that it was at unranked ten star. Although Xin Yun had not broken through to copper one star, for Xin Yun, this was not a problem.

If it was another person, without having experienced a great deal of trial and experimentation, it would be very hard to successfully break through to copper one star. As someone who had been reborn, he had already broken through to diamond one star. Although there was still a great gap between him and the emperor-ranked nine top experts, he could still be considered one of the top-tier experts.

To break through from rankless to copper one star, other would require a realization. Xin Yun, however, did not need it at all. After all, this was something that he had experienced before. For Xin Yun, this was not a problem at all. As long as he did it once more, it would be fine.

Based on what Xin Yun knew, there were a total of seven ranks. From lowest to highest, they were: copper, silver, gold, crystal, amethyst, diamond, along with the emperor rank, for the nine top experts! As for unranked, they naturally did not count. Unranked meant they did not have a rank and could not truly be considered a fighter.

To put it in other terms, although Xin Yun now had power at the unranked ten-star level, he had not truly become a fighter. Straddling the line between fighter and normal person, he was the strongest among normal people.

For those with true ranks, Xin Yun only knew of the seven ranks. Each rank had ten star levels. This was a process of energy accumulation, but once one reached the ten-star level, it was no longer a matter of gathering energy. If they could not have a realization, even if they gathered energy for 100 million years, it would be pointless.

Of course, although Xin Yun only knew of the seven ranks, he could definitely ascertain that the seventh rank was not the limit. Something like cultivation was never something that could have a limit, but… based on the position that Xin Yun had at that time, he had no chance of interacting with people of a higher social standing.
