Eliza, can you make a wall around us using magic?” Masamune whispered.
“I can put up a water barrier?”
“Thats fine, just wait for my signal. I’m going to go kill those guys up there then you activate it.”
“Time’s up, I am no longer your prince and have no obligation to protect you, so you will die here.”
Alford began emitting bloodlust.
“Now!”
Masamune’s voice rang out from the staircase and he disappeared, immediately Eliza erected the barrier.
“《Water barrier.》”
A large water wall formed protecting Sieg, Alford and Eliza from both the guards surrounding them and the archers. Masamune however had activated 《God speed》 before the barrier was formed and dashed up the stairs.
As he arrived at the top he spotted nine archers that were unaware of his existence. In an instant he drug the broadsword through their necks starting with the one one the right. The heads appeared not to notice they had been disconnected as the almost seemed to whisper. “Huh.” As they flew through the air. The archers were dead before they hit the ground.
Inside Masamune’s head the announcer was relentless, calling out each person’s name as the died. However, to Masamune it was just names he didn’t know.
Masamune did a u-turn dashing back down the stairs. At the bottom he spread his arms to encompass the guards that were crowding around the water barrier.
“《Goddess’ blood tears.》”
A huge red and black magic circle spread out to surround the guards. Like before a similar colored wall lines the outside of the magic circle.
“W-what is this!? 《Magic bullet》”
The trapped guards hit the barrier with swords and magic in an attempt to escape. However the magic was dispersed on contact and the swords failed to scratch it. Above them, eight strange long white fingers appeared to tear open space.
The goddess.
The goddess’ eyes appear in the Crack as here eyes well with tears. First it was only a drop, but it began to steadily increase as it rained on the guards trapped below, filling up the magic circle.
“T-thats-…”
Eliza was at a loss for words as Alford began to get agitated by the screams from outside the barrier. “Whats going on?”
“Nito.”
It was Sieg who noticed that it was Masamune manipulating the magic.
“Aaaaaaaaaaahh, nooooooooooo!”
“Prince Alfo~rdddddd!!”
“I don’t want to die!! Aaaaaaaaaaaahhh!”
The goddess’s tears easily penetrated the armor they wore, melting the flesh of the guards. The guards bodies were turned to mince meat by the tears, by the time it was finished there was nothing left that could be identified as human.
During this is was only the announcer that bothered Masamune, as the number of guards more than doubled the number of archers.
Finally the goddess leaves and the magic circle disappeared allowing the liquid to overflow and turn the ground to mud. Eliza released the barrier and Masamune couldn’t be seen at the top of the staircase.
“Lets head inside the castle.”
Masamune said this as the other three were taking in the scene.
“W-what is this?”
Blood ran down the stairs making it seem like a red carpet had been thrown down. Alford and Eliza were at a loss for words, only Sieg had anything to say.
“Is this, abyss magic?”
Seig touched the blood near his feet, smelling it and muttered to himself.
“Abyss magic? ”
However, Masamune had no clue what he was talking about and stood there looking confused.
“We can talk about that later.” Sieg said as he stood upright.
He began to climb the stairs as Alford and Eliza stood there absent mindedly.
“Nito, kill anyone that even touches you.”
“I intend to.”
Masamune grinned as he followed behind Sieg.

“Aries, have they not been found yet?”
The king asked from his thrown. In the hall everyone that had been apart of the hero summoning was gathered, including Aries.
“I apologize.”
“Forget it, I’ve heard that they are quite cunning and leave no trace of their presence so it can’t be helped.”
“Yes, although I also have no idea who is leaking information.”
“I was prepared for this eventually, so was Albert. There’s nothing we can do now about a spy. The threat that is Dragon’s heart won’t just disappear.”
The doors to the hall opened and a messenger entered.
“I bring news.”
The messenger kneeled before the throne.
“The members of Dragon’s heart have arrived at the main gate.”
“So they’ve come.”
“Did you confirm their identities?”
“Of course, I have them here.” At this the messenger pulled out a piece of paper.
“Read it!” Aries appeared frustrated.
“Right away, there are two men and a woman, a fourth hid underneath a hood and we couldn’t distinguish their gender.”
“Hurry and tell us who they are!”
“My apologies, the woman is wet haired Eliza.”
“Eliza Crosford!?”
Aries appeared confused.
” I see the survivor of the Crosford family has joined Dragon’s heart… quickly read the next name.”
“The next is Dragon conquerer Sieg.”
“…..I see, so ‘Dragon’ must reflect him then. Good, we’ve uncovered who the heart of the dragon is then.”
Aries glared at the messenger and he turned his eyes back to the paper.
“The next one is hard to say.”
“Thats not for you to decide, read it.”

The king rose from his throne the moment the messenger said the name.

“According to the guards testimony it was without a doubt prince Alford.”

“The other hid their face so it was impossible to identify them but the guard said they go by Nito.”

“I don’t know it, it’s probably from overseas.”
“I see. What’s the situation currently?”
Bernardo and Mike said they were fighting at the fountain square, but they have already been killed. After that, I mobilized a subjugation unit and tried to stop them at the grand staircase.”
“Are they in the castle?!”
Aries’ expression became tense as slowly voices rose up one after the other.

Bernard Ottoman and Mike Orphen were Aries direct subordinates. After graduating at the top of their class they were first part of the kings guard before being appointed to Aries. They also survived battle with the demons they had many achievements and were known as ‘Greyberg’s strongest.’

The hall calms at Aries’ anger.
“Okay, I understand. Now call all the knights and all the mages here,, we will meet with all the troops of this country. Then call the Kings guard. We’ll engage the enemy at the door.”
“Right away!”
The messenger rushed from the hall.

One person stepped forward. Aries looked at the man who was down on one knee, his head bowed.
“I Philip Butler, even if I costs me my life, I swear to stop Dragon’s heart.”
“Butler sensei, it’s not possible for you. These aren’t people you could cross swords with.”
“I won’t be able to face my students like this.”
Philip Butler is the man in charge of the summoned heros.
“After graduating from school, I gave up on the knight and immediately turned to a teacher. However, it worried me as it was an against everything I was to do so. I thought of abandoning the sword and magic all together. But, at that time, princess Aries, you suggested that I teach the heros. ”
“You couldn’t use high-level magic. However, you were very good at basic magic, so I thought it was suitable for them.”

Butler stood.
“However, I feel the time has come for me to fulfill my duty as a mage.”
“I smell water Bulter.”
A large bearded man appeared beside him.
“Glock sensei.” Butler couldn’t believe his eyes.
“Princess Aries, please allow me to go as well.”
The man knelt as he said this.

“I cannot allow my juniors to go.”

Aries would not allow it, but still the two men bowed and let the hall. Butlers eyes never left Aries’ face as the door closed, but Aries didn’t even notice.
A group of knights appeared and after first lining up, they knelt.
“Welcome, the kings guard will defend the door, all others will remain here to defend the king. Mages in the rear gaurd.”
Everyone prepared according to Aries’ orders.
