_______________________________________

When Soari entered the room she showed pity towards Koizumi but was ignored.

“What, did you come to cry over me? Can you just leave?”

“Since you can talk I assume your body is ok?”

Saori begins to try and talk with him instead of withdrawing.

“Did you not hear me? I said leave.”

“I have something to talk with you about.”

“Oh you do? Well I have nothing to say to you. When I talked to you guys the only one go could admit that we killed Hidaka and forced him into suicide was me.”

They day they were summoned, Masamune admitted to committing suicide. This realization hit the students like a ton of bricks. However Saeki just continued to ridicule him. Then when Aries piled on any of the students that felt sympathy hid it, then before they knew it Masamune was gone. They decided to forget, the pressure put on them by Aries helped them do so quickly.

However when they came to Fishnatica the guilt they all felt pushed its way to the surface. They thought about him and came to realize that they had abandoned Masamune.

Some of them thought that he may have lived but because he wasn’t there they began to believe that he had actually died. They had come to learn about magic, monsters and this world little by little, while Masamune had been discarded somewhere with the weakest profession. The more they learned the more they believed he was dead.

They all felt guilty for not reaching out, for not saying something. However many of them couldn’t stand the guilt and began cursing at Koizumi. Of course the main culprit was Saeki but because of this Job he was in a different building so they weren’t able to see him much. The only one they could see was Koizumi telling them that they killed Hidaka.

“Do you think…we were that bad?”

“What is this some kind of trap? Get out of here.”

“Everyone is gathering together…. I want you to come too.”

Koizumi was confused for a moment before realizing what Saori had said.

“Are you joking? What you want me to come just so you can curse at me? Sorry but I’m pretty tired after the match so..”

Koizumi was emotional.

“Everyone…. Wants to apologize.”

“…..”

“They’re saying that they were in the wrong… I was too.”

“You don’t have to apologize. I killed him along with everyone else.”

Saori started to say something but stopped and walked over to the door.

“Everyone is waiting in B room.”

Saori left but the awkwardness remained.

“How convenient, if cursing at me didn’t work then they think they can just make it all better with an apology. All they want to be is forgiven so they don’t feel the guilt, that way they can go around thinking they were innocent.”

Koizumi turned over.

“But….”

Tippei opened his mouth.

“I think it’s better to go. Everyone is being selfish but, it can’t be helped. We’re still high-school students after all.”

“I think it’s the same when you get older, no maybe it gets worse.”

“Maybe, but this is a different world. They’re reaching out to us now, we’re all we have in this world. If we miss this opportunity we’ll be lonely forever.”

“Tippei, do you want to go lick your wounds with them, is that it?”

“Thats not it! But do you want to be alone forever even after you graduate? Are we just going to live alone.”

“Yeah, sure.”

“I think it would be better to have someone from the same world around. I don’t think we could stand the loneliness.”

“Well be alright with just the three of us.”

“We’re weak, I don’t think we could survive with just the three of us.”

Koizumi knew this as well, this world was nothing like the peaceful Japan. The people of this world are already adults at 17, they don’t care that the heros would still be considered children where they came from. They came to school and are studying to learn to survive.

“Once we graduate from here, will we be able to survive? Are we strong enough? What are we going to do become adventurers?”

“That could be good.”

“No, I can’t do that forever. There’s monsters everywhere, there’s dragons elves beast men, dwarves. They’re all physically superior to us, how do we survive in a world like that?”

“We have magic?”

“We cant win! One day the three of us will be killed! I don’t know about you but I want to live and die old.”

Tippei continued to try and appeal to Koizumi until, Koizumi finally broke.

Several heros had gathered in the room.

“I’m sure he’ll be here soon.”

“But it’s Koizumi, will he really be here?”

Majima Kyoka, was the other girl that hung around Ichijo with Saori. They had then switched to Saeki but had eventually left him as well.

“I don’t think he’ll come. He seems like the type to not show up.”

Kihara Madoca, she hangs out with Majima quite often nowadays.

“I still think we should properly apologize.”

Kanoi Emi, she felt guilty about doing nothing back then. Next to her was Mitarai Chiharu.

“Well, we did something cowardly. Whether he comes today or not, we should continue to reach out to him.”

Iida shogo, former captain of the soccer club.

“Yeah, we’re all we have now. We should all try and get along.”

Gen Sato, he too was part of the soccer club.

8 students had gathered in this room to wait. They all tensed as the door opened and Koizumi entered behind Tippei and Takeshi. Tippei had finally managed to convince him to show up.

“Thank you…for coming.”

Saori said.

“Yeah.”

The three of them sat down.

“I’m sorry, I was wrong to do what I did.”

Saori began the apology.

“I am sorry as well.”

Iida apologized next and then everyone else followed.

“You don’t have to apologize, I don’t care anymore.”

Koizumis tone didn’t change.

“So, why is everyone gathered here like this? Is there some other reason behind it?”

“We think that we should work together.”

Saori answered. She said the same thing Tippei had.

“None of us have a home here, other students have a home town and places to go. It’s okay right now because the school is our home but once we graduate none of us know where to go.”

Everyone shared the same fear.

“So what do you think?”

“Adventurers.”

“I see.”

Koizumi smiled wryly, a job where nobody knew when they would die.

“Theres no limit to the amount of people in a party. So if we gathered a bunch of people and completed requests safely then nobody would die and we could do it for quite a long time.”

Saori stopped talking when she saw Koizumis expression.

“Does everyone here think the same way?”

“It doesn’t have to be immediately. I think for now we should take the time to learn what we can here.”

“I see, I understand what you wanted to say.”

It was a sloppy idea but Koizumi decided to roll with it for now.

“After this well talk to Saeki and Kidaー”

“Not them.”
