"What did you say!?" Eric said, first to come out of his shock.

"Ameria has been taken; I found her room ransacked earlier when I came back from my morning run," Ellie said as she slowly caught her breath before standing up.

"Okay," Nirra sighed as she recovered from her shock, "Eric, we need you to go to the Guildmaster and inform him of what happened. I'll go to the scene of the crime with Ellie and see if we can find any clues to her disappearance," Nirra said in a stern yet calm manner. Ellie and Eric nodded in agreement.

"I'll get going now!" Eric said before he started running. His body still turned in their direction while waving.

"Ellie, take me to her room; there has to be some clues left over, Nirra said. Then later, they bolted in full force towards the inn they were staying in.

When they arrived, they saw that Ameria's room was in complete shambles. The sheets on the bed are laid on the ground; a mirror was broken on the wall; numerous cracks on the walls can be seen; items that were on the desk near the bed were now on the ground; and most importantly, Ameria's golden bow is laid on the ground near the window. Whoever took her did not have an easy time, and it looked like the Elf tried to fight back against whoever was coming for her.

"Ellie, search the room. I'll load off my things in my room, and I'll come back later and help," she said. Ellie then kneeled down and started checking the room, starting off with the bed.

As Ellie was checking, Nirra entered her own room and dropped off her bag. She then proceeded to equip the Model 1873 by using the sling over her shoulders. She then held her single-action revolver before she grabbed her B25 Superposed shotgun and clipped it to her bandolier, unloaded, of course, since she doesn't have a sling for it at the moment.

"Mofu!" She heard the small fox who was on her bed. He looked at her with head tilted to the side.

"Mofu, we have to go! Ameria is gone!" She said which the small vulpen jumped onto her shoulder.

"Mofu!" Nirra then nodded went back to Ameria's room when she noticed Ellie kneeling down, still searching the room for any possible clues.

"Wait, Ellie I got an idea" Nirra then placed the small fox on the ground.

Ellie stopped searching and looked at her sister in confusion.

"Mofu, we need you to look for any possible clues to where Ameria was taken" She said.

"Mofu!" Mofu's secondary colors changed into blue as he started sniffing the floor.

When he got near the bed he suddenly turned towards them.

"Mofu! Mofu!!" He frantically jumped while pointing underneath the bed.

Nirra then positioned herself to push the bed towards the door. With her own strength, she pushed the bed slightly. Enough so that Ellie could reach for the object she saw under it.

After Ellie took out the object, Nirra's eyes widened as Ellie presented the object to her. It was a needle spike, the same spike the hooded figure used to attack her the other day.

"Sis? Why do you look so shocked?" Ellie said, puzzled.

"That spike... it's the same one that hooded person used against me the other day," Nirra said in a low voice.

"You were attacked, and you didn't tell me!" Ellie said in shock.

"It slipped my mind; we need to get this to the guildmaster. I think the people who attacked me the other day were the same ones that took Ameria," Nirra said as she tried to leave, but not before Ellie stopped her by grabbing her wrist.

"We'll continue this later," Ellie said as Nirra merely stared at her.

Nirra sighed before she said, "Sure, let's get to the guildmaster. C'mon Mofu"

"Mofu!" The small fox then jumped on her shoulder as they walked down the hallway.

When the two were outside the inn, they were approached by Eric, who was running down the road.

"Eric, what did the guildmaster say?" Nirra asked.

"He said he has something to tell you, and you have to reach him right now, Eric said while panting as he held his knees.

"Where are you going then?" Ellie asked as she stepped forward.

"To my party, the guildmaster said to assemble them at the guild. Something big is going to happen," He said before he started singing again. He then turned towards them while running and shouted. "I'll meet you two at the guild later!"

Nirra and Ellie then took off and started running towards the adventurers guild, while many people looked at them in confusion as they ran past them.

Once they arrived, they immediately ascended the stairs before stopping outside the door to the guildmaster's office. They recovered from their run before knocking on the door. When they heard a voice telling them to come in. Then entered the room by slowly opening the door. The Guildmaster Viceroy was seen looking outside via the window.

"Ms. Nirra and Ms. Ellie, I am glad you could come," He said as he turned his body towards them.

"First things first. Do you have any leads regarding Lady Ameria's disappearance?" He then walked towards them before standing upright.

The twins looked at each other before Ellie pulled out the spike they found under Ameria's bed. "Yes, we found this inside her room".

"That is very troubling, Ms. Nirra. The alchemist had finished examining the spike you brought the other day," He said, as Ellie had a worried expression. "It turns out that the substance at one end of the spike was indeed to incapacitate the victim," He continued with utmost seriousness in his voice.

"So we are dealing with the same people who attacked me the other day," Nirra said.

The guildmaster nodded and said, "Indeed, we had also found a lead into that matter. Our scouts had identified an old building in the southern slum side of the city. Our mages had found out that all the evil energy has been coming from underneath it. That is why I tasked Mr. Eric with gathering his party for a strike force. Lady Ameria is likely to be held captive in that underground area."

"If that is the case, we are coming with them," Nirra said.

"You will be in a place they wanted to take you to the other day. Are you sure you want to enter it?" He asked, skeptical.

"Yes. With the new weapon I forged, it should make clearing the rooms easier," Nirra said as she presented her shotgun. "Ameria looked out for us when we were attacked by that demon. It's time we return the favor, she added.

The guildmaster sighed before he spoke: "Very well, rendezvous with Mr. Eric's party outside the guild, and exceed caution. We still do not know why they wanted to capture you as well."

"We'll do what we can, guildmaster. Let's go, Ellie," Nirra said as she clipped her shotgun to her bandolier again before exiting with Ellie following her and Mofu still on her shoulder.

"Please be safe, Ms. Agustine," He said worriedly to himself as he stared at the closed door to his office.
