Nirra gathered all the gold coins she ever earned as an adventurer, which totaled nearly 5,000. Those B- and C-rank quests she had been doing with her party for months is finally here to be payed off. She was saving up this much gold for this very moment. She exited the room and went down the steps with her party in tow, and Mofu left to take a short nap on her bed. She was then reminded of something very important by Ameria. "Nirra, remember what the grand priest said?"

Nirra stopped walking for a second as the memory of what Mikhail said to her resurfaced in her mind.

"I need to find a Paladin to escort me to the market district…" Nirra reminded herself.

And so began the 30-minute search for a paladin. Once over, one of the bishops had assigned a paladin from the Hawthkins house to come and follow her.

They walked through the cobblestone roads of the capital. The first exited the shopping district the way they came in, and she was immediately greeted by many people staring at her large bodyguard. Some even gasped as they saw the Paladin walk down the street behind Nirra and her party.

"Well, this is awkward; everyone is staring at him." Ellie took a quick glance at the Paladin as he walked behind him.

"Do Paladins have an oath of silence or something? I've never heard these guys speak at least once." Ellie turned to Ameria for answers.

"I don't know. Paladins rarely speak when out in public, let alone show any kind of emotion," she answered.

"We're here," Nirra announced ahead of them. They all stared down at the street they saw earlier. Multiple blacksmiths can be seen hammering away heated metals on their anvils. Some even called out to them, advertising their craftsmanship with their tools and swords.

Ellie tapped her sister on the shoulder and asked, "Sooo, what's the first thing on the list?"

"Hmm." Nirra scanned the many shops and smiths in front of her until her eyes fell upon a store that sold the basic tools like vises, hand drills, hammers, smithing tongs, and many more. "Over there," she pointed at said store.

"Let's get the things we can carry easily first before we move on to more heavy equipment," she said.

"Alright, you're Daddy's little smith, of course," Ellie teased by calling her the nickname her father came up with.

Nirra rolled her eyes as they all entered the store. The Paladin stayed outside, watching them silently.

"Without the white armor, you would think he's a creep," Ellie commented when she saw the Paladin from the inside of the shop.

Nirra picked up a couple of things. Crucibles, a vise, tongs, hand drills, a hole puncher, screw-hole markers, bags of sand and clay, a chisel set, ingot molds, and multiple buckets. She didn't need to buy a hammer since she intended to use the custom hammer her father had given her before she left Redfield.

When she presented everything to the store employee, who was a bald man with a rather large build, he was curious.

"Building your own forge there, lass?" he asked in a deep, muscular voice.

"Yes, how much is everything going to cost?" Nirra said as she brought out her sack, which contained her stash of golden coins.

"I'll give you a discount since you're going to build your own forge." He then inspected everything Nirra wants to buy.

"That'll be 350 golden coins, with the discount included." Nirra gave him the money as Ellie and Ameria pitched in to help her carry it all.

"Pleasure doin business with ya." The man said with a smile as they exited his store.

After that, they flagged down a wagon to carry Nirra's purchases. Ameria stayed behind to guard it, while the Paladin followed Nirra and Ellie.

"So what's next on the list?" Ellie asked, and again Nirra began to scan the surroundings. Her eyes landed on a small store that sold furnaces and materials needed to build a forge.

"Over there, I'll carry the blast furnace with Mr. Paladin over there while you carry the bricks, cement, and metal pieces needed for the forge."

Ellie stretched her arms as if she were preparing to do a marathon and replied with a simple. "Alright,"

The rest of the day was filled with hauling heavy equipment. The anvil proved particularly troublesome to move to the wagon along with the grinding wheel. After checking one last time, Nirra was satisfied that she had everything. They paid the person operating the wagon once they reached their destination. They even heard the man complain about how the weight almost broke it as he disappeared into the crowded streets illuminated by the setting sun. It took them a few more hours to get everything that they had bought to the new smithing room for Nirra. It took a few more hours to get them to the room.

"Jeez, it's finally done…" Ellie said with an exhaled breath. She collapsed while leaning on the wall of Nirra's smithing room.

"Agreed, I didn't know blacksmiths needed this much equipment to start working." Ameria wiped the sweat from her eyebrows as she sat beside Ellie, panting hard from exhaustion.

"You two can go rest now; I can take it from here," Nirra assured them.

Ellie and Ameria slowly got up and exited the door, but not before Ellie said, "Alright, don't stay up too late now, please, sis."

"Goodnight, Nirra. Ameria peeked her head back inside to wish Nirra a good night as they retreated to their rooms.

"I guess it's just you and me, mofu," Nirra said as she stared down at the huge pile of equipment she bought, which cost around 4,000 gold in total. Heavy equipment like the Forge materials, Grinding Wheel, Furnace, Anvil, tabletops and the cabinets and she needed made up a big chuck of the expenses.

"Mofu~" Mofu leaned on Nirra's leg before he also stared at the pile.

Thus, that night, the room was filled with steel clanging and the noise of metal scraping on the cobblestone floor of Nirra's smithing room for the first time. Luckily, thanks to the enchantment of the walls, everyone slept peacefully while Nirra assembled the equipment for her new smithing room with determination.
