Esdeath's heart beat rose after she heard his words. Her blush deepened but somehow she managed to keep herself calm and said

Madara sneered " Death? Woman, noone in this world can kill me! "
As he said those words a formless pressure erupted from him. Esdeath felt like a mountain was crushing on her, her knees buckled and fell down but her eyes didn't show fear instead they were dazed as she looked at Madara.
Ryu was shell shocked inside. He gently tapped his head while lost in thought
' If I remember correctly, Esdeath made a list about the five qualities her lover should have. Three was about fighting while the other two.....

Ryu looked at Madara standing like a King infront of Esdeath and shook his head
' Nope, not a chance.
As for the other..... he should have an innocent smile..... well..... '

Esdeath who was in a daze snapped out, she blocked their path

She looked at Madara and said lovingly " If you join me i can get you the highest position in the imperial army. Thousands would be beneath you, you can have wealth and power and also.... also.... me.... "
The last part was spoken inside her mind. Madara and Ryu ignored her walked forward. At this moment trumpet sound echoed loudly around them.
Ryu looked back " Seems like they have arrived."

Tens of thousands of men dressed in military uniform stood ready for battle. Najenda was leading infront of them, a tall man with horns on his head and a large stick with weight on its end stood beside her.
Najenda " They should have already started. Men! "
Thousands of soldiers replied in one voice " Yes!! "
Najenda " Today is the day of liberation. We have been fighting all these years for this moment, today the old empire will fall and a new one shall rise from its ashes!! "
" OOOHHHH!!!! "
Loud cheers rang out.
Najenda continued " The tough ones will be taken out by them while our job is to take out the rest! Let's go! For a better tomorrow, for a better future! "
With that she led her troops inside. Without any Teigu users support the four gates leading inside fell really quickly, Akame and rest were already inside removing the stronger opponents while Najenda was suppressing the imperial forces and taking control.

Esdeath was struggling inside, finally she made a decision and attacked Madara. She supposed it was better to die by his hands, atleast that would comfort her on her dying breaths.
Madara shook his head. He parried her sword with bare hands and broke it. He then palmed her gut causing her to vomit blood and send her flying.
Esdeath flipped in mid air and landed steadily. She held her gut and coughed out another mouthful of blood. Wiping away the blood from her mouth Esdeath raised her hand and brought it down heavily.
Several large ice blocks appeared in mid air and fell upon Madara. Seeing these incoming attacks Madara said
" Not bad but still lacking compared to Shattered Heaven."
He raised his hand and pointed his finger towards the incoming ice. Several pale yellow flame bullets were shot out from his hand.
Esdeath watched in shock as these fire bullets pierced through her ice and in the next second her ice attacks were completely engulfed by flames and erased from existence.
Ryu wasn't interested in their and started to walk away. Esdeath wasn't going to allow that, she was prepared to intercept him when a cold voice rang near her ear.
" Taking your eye off of me during battle, bad move."
Esdeath's body was violently thrown away, she crashed through several buildings before finally stopping. Her clothes were torn all over and bloodied.
She didn't pause and attacked Madara recklessly. Madara parried each of her attack with ease, he was about to strike her again when Esdeath smiled.
" Freeze."
Madara who was in motion of striking her froze, Esdeath was relieved but not for long. Madara who was supposed to be frozen took back his hand and looked at Esdeath while commenting
" Very good. Using ice to freeze time and space but.... it's took weak. In a world with stronger laws this ability of your wouldn't even work for one tenth of a second. Let me show you how to really freeze time and space."
Madara snapped his fingers. Esdeath who was retreating suddenly froze in mid air. Her body was completely frozen, her heart beat, her blood flow, her breathing..... everything was frozen.
