Before going to the dungeon, I first stopped by Plumbum’s place.
“I’ve been waiting for you. Oh, you feel like you’re radiating.” (Plumbum)
“Yes, I came to thank you today.” (Ryouta)
“To me?” (Plumbum)
“You helped me to recover here, so I could buy rings for my friends.” (Ryouta)
“Oh.” (Plumbum)
Plumbum smiled.
“That was quicker than I expected. Congratulations on that.” (Plumbum)
And she was as happy as if it were herself.
“I owe it to you, too. Thank you so much.” (Ryouta)
“I only did it for myself.” (Plumbum)
“For yourself?” (Ryouta)
What does she mean by that? I tilted my head and asked.
“If you were to fall ill from overwork, you would not be able to come to me. I did it to avoid that.” (Plumbum)
“I see.” (Ryouta)
Plumbum is not lying.
She wasn’t trying to act tough.
Like any other spirit, she only wants what she wants.
What Plumbum wants is for me to come and see her.
Even if I leave, she wants me to come back to her.
It would be pointless for her to invite me to her house, or for me to live here forever.
In our not-so-short acquaintance, I have seen this clearly.
“But thank you.” (Ryouta)
“It’s what I abide by.” (Plumbum)
“So, this is for you.” (Ryouta)
“What’s this?” (Plumbum)
“A ring.” (Ryouta)
I opened the box and showed Plumbum the ring in it.
“You’re giving it to me?” (Plumbum)
“Yes. As the story goes, I’ve decided to give the ring to Aurum and the others.” (Ryouta)
“Oh, tell me more about that.” (Plumbum)
“That is my intention.” (Ryouta)
I smiled and sat down in front of Plumbum.
Usual position, usual talk time.
After arranging the rings for the adventurer group, Sakura suggested that we give different rings to the spirit and merchant groups.
I told Plumbum all about it, without concealment.
“I see.” (Plumbum)
“And this is the same ring I gave to the spirit group.” (Ryouta)
“And thus you’re giving it to me?” (Plumbum)
“You don’t come to the house, but I see you every day. I think of you as a friend.” (Ryouta)
“I see. Then I’ll accept it.” (Plumbum)
With a smile on his face, Plumbum took the ring from me.
The fact that she doesn’t try to put it on right away shows that it’s not that important to her.
“…… You guys are amazing.” (Ryouta)
“What’s gotten into you?” (Plumbum)
“You spirits know exactly what you want. And you never waver. I think that’s really cool.” (Ryouta)
“I don’t know why that’s so important to you.” (Plumbum)
“That’s why.” (Ryouta)
If Sakura were here, she would say, “Did I do something again? I know, right?” I’m sure she’d be very excited.
That’s how much the spirits of Plumbum and the others were doing to me, and how little they were doing to them.
“But I have to return the favour.” (Ryouta)
“A return gift?” (Plumbum)
“They gave me something expensive, and then they praised me. Isn’t that what people are supposed to do in return?” (Ryouta)
“That’s true, but …… it’s fine.” (Plumbum)
“Hmm.” (Ryouta)
Prumbum did not argue, but looked thoughtful.
This is also a characteristic of the spirit, when it decides to do something, it does not bend.
“Hmmm, let’s do this.” (Plumbum)
Plumbum said, and held out her palm upwards.
The palm of her hand glowed brightly and a ring appeared from it.
“This is for you.” (Plumbum)
She hands it to me with a dazed look on my face.
“Thanks, I’ll try it on— Mu.” (Ryouta)
As soon as I put on the ring I received, I notification effect.
“Is this the same as …… that recovery?” (Ryouta)
“Yes, it is the power that I gave you to support you when you were working hard. When you wear the ring, wherever you are, you will recover in the same way. But just in case, it’s for you only. Don’t let anyone else use it.” (Plumbum)
“Thank you, that’s very helpful.” (Ryouta)
The ring I gave to the spirit came back as a special ring with a very special effect.
