Chapter 24: Ch 23: Level ups and Helping Pyhrra

"Hi guys." Kyra says with a massive smile while her clothes are completely ripped and burnt. Her weapon the Blue Rose has its blade smashed to pieces. The blue hood is spotless and she doesn't seem to have a scratch on her.
"What did you do!?" Blake shouts running up to her.
"I am now a dragon slayer!" Kyra says with a smile.
"You killed a Wyvern single handily!?" Weiss shouts in shock.
"No it was easily twice as big as the one we went over in class." Kyra says falling over from exhaustion.
"Let's get her to the airship. I will give her an earful later." Ruby says

"Story now." Ruby says angrily.
"Ok so I was minding my own damn business taking a walk through the woods." Kyra begins
"When suddenly a wyvern that was smaller than they normally are comes up and growls at me." Kyra say again.
"Next thing you know it does what Wyverns do and starts spawning an army of Grimm. So I go after it and after a few exchanges I cut off its head. Then deal with the army. Sadly in one of the exchanges it bit my scythe so it broke right after I cut off its head." Kyra says
"Okay that doesn't explain the injuries." Ruby says
"Injuries? What injuries? There wasn't a single scratch on me or the hood." Kyra says which is true however the rest of her clothes, not so much.
Ruby sighs
"What went wrong invincible girl." Ruby says
"A second one twice the normal size showed up. I didn't have my scythe for close combat and my power armor is out of commission." Kyra says
"I had to kill a wyvern with a single shot gun gauntlet and my hands then use the guns I had on me with almost all my bullets to kill the army the big one created which was 3 times the size of the first army of Grimm." Kyra says
"So they caught you unprepared because you didn't have a spare main weapon and yours broke." Ruby says knowing many things that could have been done to prevent them however no one ever prepares for their weapons to break. And the scythe must have taken a lot of damage to have broken because Ruby watches Kyra maintenance it every week.
"I had to aura burn punch a Wyvern to death Ruby. My aura ran out midway through the second horde of Grimm" Kyra says
"Are you stronger now?" Ruby asks
"Significantly." Kyra says with a smile.
"Your race is cheating." Ruby says
"I will never leave my little flower behind." Kyra says
'Wait.... I forgot I had the mini nuke launcher!!! Damn saiyan instincts!' Kyra screams in her head.

Kyra is still in the Lab working on her scythe since she can't do it in her room with her team sleeping.
Using 6% aluminum 4% vanadium and the rest as titanium for the blades core. Then making the rest of it with steel alloy similar to how a katana was made.
'I wish I researched this more in my past life.' Kyra thinks reforging the Scythe blade with a dust furnace that has really easy to control heat.
She starts hitting the blade with a hammer again.
"Should be better than casting it at least." Kyra says once again wishing she had researched metal working more.

Pyhrra was having a sleepless night. Walking down the halls of beacon she heard metal hammering.
Wondering around till she found the source.
"Is the weapons lab still going on?" She asks herself always meaning to go to the lab.
She peeks in the door to see Kyra wearing a welding mask and working on her scythe.
Watching her repeatedly fold the metal that would be the scythe blade before she attaches it to the core.
Carbonizing it before she reheats it.
"That's certainly am intriguing way to work with metal." Pyhrra says
"A long ancient technique forgotten to remnant." Kyra says pulling it and and finally finishes shaping it leaving it to cool for a bit.
"So... everything alright?" Kyra asks
"Not really." Pyhrra says
"Try me." Kyra says with a smile.
"Well Jaune doesn't seem to notice me. And we had a fight." She says
"Hmm, have you told him how you feel?" Kyra asks.
"No. Should I?" Pyhrra asks.
"He's super dense you should say something like if you wanna be my boyfriend let me train you." Kyra says polishing the scythe blade.
"You think that would work?" Pyhrra asks
"It could but he is honestly really dense. It's easy to tell you like him." Kyra says
"Hmm.. maybe, how are things with you and Ruby?" Pyhrra asks
"Pretty good, I made her upset recently though." Kyra says
"Oh how so?" Kyra asks
"I did something stupid without backup." Kyra says
"Like what?"
"Fought two wyverns back to back the second one without a weapon." Kyra says
While Pyhrra looks down at the girl working on her scythe.
"Oh... you're insane." Pyhrra says
"Thanks, say could you control metal bullets?" Kyra asks
"I haven't tried those weapons only just started being sold in Mistral when I left to come here." Pyhrra says
"Wanna give it a try?" Kyra asks handing her a 10mm pistol.
She shoots it and then controls it like it's that magic bullet from hellsing till it runs out of momentum.
"This isn't bad." Pyhrra says holding it out for Kyra to take it back.
"Keep it just try what I said with Jaune." Kyra says fitting the blade to the scythe and begins one final polish.
"That looks more like a work of art than a weapon blade." Pyhrra says
"Well it's also really strong. It's what this forging method was used for." Kyra says
"So it's a lost ancient metal working method? How do you know it if it's lost?" Pyhrra asks
Kyra just smiles in reply.
