"We can always listen to it at camp tonight." Yang says
"Sorry everyone we arrived at the ruins. Dr. Oobleck, do you happen to see a landing place we could leave the plane?" Kyra says into her headset.
"On the roof of the dust station over there seems good." Oobleck says
"Got it." Kyra says flipping as few switches which lower the landing gear and put it in VTOL mode.
Swinging back around for a slow rolling approach.
"Touch down! Breaks on." Kyra says turning off the engines and enabling the landing gear breaks.
"So, where we invisible the entire time?" Oobleck asks
"Of course, would you like to risk being seen by whatever is here?" Kyra asks looking at the bag Ruby is wearing.
"Welcome to our kingdoms biggest failure." Oobleck says
"Mountain Glenn, Stark industries is currently working with Vale's council to see if we can reclaim it." Kyra says out loud.
"Oh, yeah I forgot the biggest change in recent history was your company Sapphire." Oobleck says
"Thanks, just trying to help people." Kyra says
"Vale, may expand in the future." Yang says
"Does the underground go to underneath Vale currently?" Kyra asks as they are searching the city.
"Yes we should look into that." Oobleck says
"Alright! Ladies, you may still be students, but as of this moment your first mission as a huntress has begun." Oobleck says
"From this point forward you must do exactly as I say. Do you understand?" Oobleck asks noticing Ruby's back pack.
"Ruby! I thought I told you to leave all your bags back at school." Oobleck says
"But, Uh you hadn't told us to listen to you yet... so I didn't" Ruby says trying to get out of trouble.
"She's not wrong." Oobleck says to himself and Kyra facepalms
"Alright Ruby leave your bag here we can pick it up upon return." Oobleck says
"I got this." Kyra says touching Ruby's bag as it disappears into her Pip-boy. A dog suddenly falls to the ground.
"Ruby... did you bring Zwei?" Kyra asks looking at the dog.
"Maybe..." Ruby says
"Brilliant!" Doctor Oobleck and Kyra shout at the same time.
"Canines are historically known for their perceptive nose and heightened sense of sound. Making them excellent companions for hunts such as ours!" Oobleck
Zwei barks in affirmation.
'He's a really smart dog.'
"I'm a genius." Ruby says
The rest of the team face palms.
"So, what are your orders Doctor?" Blake asks
"Yes! Let is get back on track!" Oobleck says
"As you know the southeast area has been marked as a hotspot due to large amount of Grimm activity in the area." Oobleck says
"That means there are likely people in this abandoned area, since emotions attract Grimm." Kyra says
"Not completely there are several possible explanations for this behavior. One of which being, Grimm." Oobleck
"What?" Ruby asks
"Ruby look behind you." Kyra says
Ruby turns around to see a creature of Grimm.
She changes her scythe to gun mode.
However Kyra pulls out the dust cartridge.
"Why?" Ruby asks confused.
"Good job Kyra, Ruby you almost made a mistake. Kyra do you want to tell us what it is?" Oobleck asks
"Sure, we are currently on a prolonged mission with limited resources. And Firing a dust round may alert other Grimm in the area to us. The last thing I want to do right now is fight a horde of them. Ruby how much ammunition did you bring?" Kyra asks
"Oh..." The entire team.
"Precisely, it is safer and more efficient to avoid them rather than actively hunt them in a situation like this." Oobleck says
"Yes, this is a scouting mission. Where are we making camp for the night?" Kyra asks
Doctor Oobleck looks up at a building.
"Seems safe enough and it will give us a vantage point while making it hard for the more common Grimm to reach us." Kyra says.
"Precisely.." Oobleck says taking a sip from his thermos.
