“The next door you enter will be your last or the first of many. Behind the next door is not an ordinary man. I need you to remember that.

Your job will only be to survive until the bell rings.”

Riku, slightly confused, nodded as he walked through another large metallic door.

Up until now the majority of the way had been dimly lit, Riku could barely see the silhouette of the hallways, nor its true constitution; however inside this room was surprisingly well lit as he entered.

Riku entered the room alone. Instantly the door behind him sealed shut. It was obvious this door was too thick to shoot through; moreover, Riku barely having much physical strength could not pull it with his feminized brute strength.

Looking in front Riku saw there was another man standing only a few inches taller than himself.

Riku himself was standing at five feet eight inches. Based on his height Riku Estimated him to be roughly six foot one.

But what was striking about him was a backpack seamlessly on his back with a strange opening on both sides close to the base of the bag. Despite being coal-like in color this opening was obvious because for some odd reason these openings glimmered with a silver hue which contradicted the rest of the bag.

The bag's color and visual dexterity matched the combat boots this individual laced highly on his legs.

Riku looked closely at the man mainly because in this hollow thirty-meter wide room there were nothing but four white walls and these two young men facing each other.

“Hello. I am Kaito Yariami and I will be your executioner today!”

Kaito proudly declared his intent. His voice held a seriousness that could not be ignored.

But in this open room, with a double pistol by his side and Kaito seemingly unarmed this would be an easy win for him, more so within such an open space.

Riku was no stranger to drawing a pistol. Without remorse nor hesitation he drew his pistols not wanting to know if this man Kaito was the beast he had heard of or not.

Riku fired the first shots. The barrels of his nine millimeters roared up as the muzzles flashed.

Kaito moved smoothly as though he had been looking down the barrel of a gun his entire life.

Effortlessly Kiato reached to the glimmering part of his backpack without looking or hesitating. Before Rikus' bullet could cover half the distance of the room both rounds were canceled by a shimmering streak of noise.

To Rikus' bafflement both bullets were canceled out in mid-air by silver shurikens, hira-shurikens to be precise. Kaito’s four-point shuriken now laid semi-buried within the white spotless floor.

“Oh, you think your little bullets are better than my hira-shurikens? Well, you’ve-”

Before he could finish Riku fired four more rounds and just like before Kaito effortlessly drew his shurikens and repelled Rikus shots as though they were mare nuisances, negating the bullets as though they were never fired.

“Well I wanted to play a little first but it’s obvious you aren’t in the mood so I’ll end this quickly.”

Riku held both pistols straight out and aimed at Kaito. He could barely believe an ordinary man’s reflexes to be anywhere near this heightened.

How can a man match guns with bullshit throwing stars? It's not possible!

Riku was still in thought until another shuriken was sent flying in his direction. Riku without even a thought blazed his pistol and with one round canceled the Hira shuriken to nothing.

Kaito grinned realizing Riku might finally be getting a bit more imposing.

Kaito threw another shuriken, this time with a speed Riku could barely see or trace. Just like  before Riku made the two metals clash this time however the bullet seemed to split the shuriken into three.

Before Riku could react he felt a burning pain through his body and then saw that two shurikens were lodged in his body.  His shoulder acted like a freshly opened Champagne bottle with blood freshly oozing out.

Riku realizing it was a serious battle began to run around the room, trying to dodge even more shurikens storming across on him.

All this time Kaito barely needed to budge an inch from the center of the room.

In the heat of his dodging Riku struggled to take off one of his pistol holsters, while quickly strapping it over his shoulder to suppress the open wound caused by the shuriken.

Finally finishing his on the move first aid, Riku stops his running just in time to see five more shurikens whizzing millimeters past his face.

Riku stood still countering the streaks of shurikens, bullet for shuriken evenly until-

“Ohh And that makes… thirty”

Kaito cheerfully smiled

“you’re out of ammunition and holding two pistols, how will you reload with both hands full?

And can you reload faster than I can throw my next-”

Before he could finish the sentence the empty magazines from both guns suddenly hurled towards the ground one following the other, before either of them could touch the floor Riku swung a powerful kick.

Kaito, already with three shurikens in hand, had to jump back in surprise as the empty magazines were sent flying in his direction.

Within this same moment, Riku with both weapons’ magazine holders empty. Effortlessly he lowered his weapons to his side in line with his magazine-filled belt, the magnetic lock allowed the mags to slide in and unclick followed by the moving forward of the bolt, seamlessly and naturally allowing for a quick and easy double reload.

Kaito, annoyed at Riku’s tenacity which moved him from his rooted point, began to shower down another round of shurikens.

The shurikens were matched and canceled by an equally quick hail of gunfire this time Riku made sure even the doubled up shurikens couldn't reach him.

Once again after another two magazines were emptied Riku dashed to the left of the room while executing his slick reload, this time in the mid dash after a slick reload two shurikens found themselves lodged in Rikus' back.

Feeling as though a current within his body connected all the shurikens each point multiplying the pain  Riku clenched his teeth in anguish.

By now Riku was at his maximum pain threshold. Tired from his running, weak from the bleeding, and burning alive from the pain caused by having four shurikens lodged in his body.

Truthfully at this point, his vision was getting a little blurred and his muscles were almost ready to give way.

Like another wave the bullets and the shurikens met, clashed, and gashed leaving this once white room with sprays of blood.

Rose petal like droplets of blood and shuriken littered from the roof of the room to the pit of the floor, however now after another three waves Riku was severely cut and scratched losing blood and barely standing,

“You’re out of ammo once again.”

Kaito grinningly remarked, “this time there is nowhere to run.”

The floor was littered with spent shells, blood, and most importantly the shurikens that have been lodged in the ground, walls, and even a few in the roof now have become deadly spikes to put Rikus running and jumping to naught.

He was surrounded by these spikes, some even covered in his blood. His pistols now with oxygen filled magazines were laughable to Kaito.

Riku’s normal tricks to buy time to reload were hopeless.
