The school bell chimed leisurely as swarms of high school students poured out of the gates, chatting and laughing as they made their way towards the exit.

"Ugh, why do they always assign so much homework? It's going to be past eleven by the time I finish..."

"I know, right? That boneheaded teacher assigned twelve reading comprehension passages! Are they trying to crush our spirits?"

"Isn't reading comprehension just about scribbling down whatever comes to mind?"

"How can you say that?"

"Well, you pick the short passages for 'three long, one short' and the long ones for 'three short, one long,' choose 'C' if you're unsure, and 'D' if it's ambiguous."

"...Wait, hold on, let me jot that down!"

...

Suddenly, a student turned to Li Yifei, who was trailing behind, and remarked, "Li Yifei, why are you so slow? Hurry up!"

Li Yifei snapped back to attention, "Oh, coming, coming."

He quickened his pace to catch up with the crowd, but his gaze continued to wander distractedly.

"What's wrong with you? What are you looking for?" Wang Liang asked, puzzled.

After a moment of hesitation, Li Yifei sighed, "Ever since that incident before, I've been apprehensive about going home after school... Even though it's still daylight and there's no evening self-study session, I can't shake off this feeling of unease."

Wang Liang rolled his eyes, "Come on, encountering a murderer was just a one-off thing. Why are you being so melodramatic? You're a big, sturdy guy, why so timid?"

"It's not just that... Oh, forget it, it's hard to explain." Li Yifei shook his head.

Then, as if struck by a thought, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

"What's wrong now?"

"I just remembered I forgot to bring my homework, it's still in my desk drawer." Li Yifei frowned, feeling a headache coming on.

"You and your absent-mindedness, you were already dim-witted to begin with, and now you're even more useless... Well, luckily the school hasn't closed yet. Hurry back to get it, I'll go on ahead with the others." Wang Liang waved his hand, shouldering his bag, before turning to follow the rest of the group.

Li Yifei sighed where he stood, then turned back towards the direction of the school.

By the time he reached the school gate, twenty minutes had passed since the end of school, and most of the students had already left, leaving the campus deserted.

"Thank goodness the gate is still open," Li Yifei muttered to himself as he hurried inside.

In the twilight, the campus seemed quieter than usual, with fewer people milling about.

Occasionally, students who had been cleaning would emerge from the classrooms, checking the time hurriedly before dashing towards the main gate, brushing past Li Yifei as he went against the flow.

They were all eager to return home, eager to eat the steaming hot dinner waiting for them.

The further Li Yifei walked, the fewer people he encountered, and the dusk grew thicker.

The tall trees on either side of the road rustled in the wind, the fading sunlight filtering through the leaves, dwindling with each passing moment...

Li Yifei hurried to the front of the teaching building for the second year, taking two steps at a time to reach the fourth floor and his own classroom door.

In the empty corridor, bathed in the dim twilight, there was only Li Yifei.

By this time, most of the students responsible for cleaning had left, and even the classroom doors were locked.

But that didn't deter Li Yifei. He adeptly opened a window, dropped his backpack, and with a push of his hands on the windowsill, he flipped himself inside.

"Exercise books, exercise books, exercise books... Found it!" Li Yifei fumbled around his desk for a while, then pulled out a notebook, his eyes lighting up.

He stuffed the notebook into his bag, then went to the window, preparing to exit the same way he came in.

Just then, two figures suddenly appeared at the end of the corridor.

Li Yifei caught sight of them in his peripheral vision, his heart skipping a beat. He quickly squatted down, hiding behind the tiles under the window.

"What rotten luck, just happened to run into the headmaster?" Li Yifei cursed inwardly.

The two approaching figures were Liu Xiaoyan, the class representative, and their grade's headmaster.

Sneaking into the classroom through the window after school hours could easily be misunderstood. If caught by the headmaster, there would be no way to explain it away.

So, Li Yifei pressed himself tightly against the wall, intending to wait until the two of them left before making his escape.

As they walked and chatted, they drew closer to the classroom where Li Yifei was hiding. Gradually, Li Yifei could hear their conversation clearly.

"...That's why I'm telling you, your class needs to focus on Chinese. Choose the best writer for the essay and have them participate in the upcoming city competition," the headmaster was saying.

"I understand, sir. We have quite a few good writers in our class, like..."

As they continued walking, the headmaster seemed to tire, stopping to rest against the railing of the corridor, his hands propped up.

Liu Xiaoyan also stopped, continuing to speak beside the headmaster.

Their position was right at the door of the classroom where Li Yifei was hiding!

Through the reflection in the window, Li Yifei saw this scene and couldn't help rolling his eyes. He decided to sit down where he was, waiting for them to leave.

"Alright, what you've said makes sense. Tomorrow, have them come to my office, and I'll talk to them," the headmaster nodded satisfactorily, turning to Liu Xiaoyan, preparing to leave.

"Sir!" Suddenly, Liu Xiaoyan spoke up, stopping the headmaster.

Turning back, the headmaster looked at her in confusion, "Do you have something else to say, Liu Xiaoyan?"

In the twilight, a faint blush appeared on Liu Xiaoyan's face, and she seemed a bit awkward.

"Sir, actually, I... I've always wanted to tell you..."

Watching from the sidelines, Li Yifei's eyes widened in shock, almost popping out of their sockets, filled with astonishment!

Damn it!

I came back just to get my homework, what the hell did I just witness?!

Liu Xiaoyan actually has feelings for the headmaster?!

But, the headmaster is almost fifty! And he's married!

Does she have such peculiar tastes?

The headmaster standing in front of Liu Xiaoyan frowned deeper and deeper.

"I... I've always wanted to...

To...

Eat you!"

With the last three words spoken, Liu Xiaoyan's mouth split open in a horrifying arc, as if forcibly torn apart! Revealing sharp teeth like thorns!

Her pupils had disappeared, leaving only the whites of her eyes, a chilling sight! Yet, the dimples on her cheeks still retained a strange crimson glow under the twilight...

The headmaster

's eyes widened, instinctively opening his mouth wide, as if to scream!

In the next moment, Liu Xiaoyan's entire head split open from the mouth! Countless sharp teeth emitted a chilling light!

Her mouth was so wide that it could easily swallow a whole person!

So, in almost an instant, this gaping maw engulfed the headmaster, flesh wriggling and contorting within, sickening to behold!

Witnessing the entire process, Li Yifei tightly covered his mouth, staring at the window in horror, his muscles trembling!

After chewing for a while, Liu Xiaoyan suddenly opened her blood-filled mouth again,

And spat out a complete head of the headmaster.

Except for some mucus on his body, he didn't lose a single hair.

He just lay quietly on the ground, while Liu Xiaoyan's flesh-and-blood head gradually reverted, taking only a few seconds to return to the ordinary high school girl.

She stared motionlessly at the headmaster lying in front of her.

A few seconds later, the headmaster on the ground suddenly opened his eyes, and in a creepy posture, he stood up from the ground.

Facing Liu Xiaoyan, he smiled.

The two of them, in an extremely eerie synchronized posture, gradually disappeared at the end of the corridor.

Only after confirming that they had truly left did Li Yifei release his grip on his mouth, slumping weakly to the ground, gasping for breath in large gulps.

In his mind, there were only two words:

"Here we go again?!!!"
